Southwest came highly recommended. But after my recent experience and as a recent graduate I can truly say that this place is the BEST place to get your CDL. They take great pride in seeing their students succeed and take the time to make sure you’re properly equipped to get out there and start earning. There are too many people to thank. I had a great experience with southwest truck driver training. From my first interaction with Jon he was very informative of what the program will consist of. I had Liz as my classroom instructor she did a great job of teaching the program and giving us the information needed to pass the permit and in class tests and made the room feel like a fun and comfortable place to ask questions and interact with the other classmates. My range instructor was Daniel and he does a great job at giving you the instruction needed to drive and back the trucks then allowing you to make errors and correct it on your own, while also being there if you got stuck on certain parts and needed his help to walk you through the steps again. He did amazing making me feel comfortable in the truck during my first day. I would highly recommend this school.

Just got my CDL, they offer weekend, night and day class I chose night class and range to get my hazardous driving in. All in all great school they work with you if you don't pass to make sure you get your CDL but you gotta put in the hard work they don't just hand it over. 10/10 would recommend and AZ@Work for covering the cost of tuition.

I had a great experience at SWTDT. The trainers are very informative. I encourage you to go to Arizona @ Work One Stop and see if you qualify for a grant before paying. They covered my tuition. A special thank you to Greg and Liz, my instructors who are very knowledgeable, patient, and taught me the right way. I passed my exam on the first attempt. I highly recommend this school to all who are seeking there CDL.

I attended the Tucson Az school and am extremely happy with my decision to go to this school. Week one was rough due to working all day and going to class at night and I called Kristen up and asked her to switch to weekend classes and after talking with her and her encouraging me to stay with night classes that it will all work out. Im happy I listened to her because everything did work out, SWTDT school in my eyes is the best school for ur CDL needs and hopefully when u get to the driving portion of it u get Greg as ur driving instructor because I don't think u can get a better instructor then him. He is great at teaching u everything u need to know to pass ur CDL driving test, he made it extremely fun and it was a joy to be in his class. Thank u SWTDT for everything.

I’d like to mention that it is a excellent place to go to obtain your training to get or upgrade your CDL. Class A or B, These folks are on top of their A game. Nothing short of 1st class people to work with. Trust me from the time you walk through that door, Through out graduation day and beyond, You will need to wear welder’s goggles… Cause your future will be bright. I’d like to mention Kristen and Adri were spectacular at helping me along the way. Dave our Instructor was highly experienced and taught us things with a superior and professionaly calm demeanor. John the Administration helped me with any question’s or concern’s i had. Rest assured i wasn’t disappointed. You will have to put in work, They don’t just give these license’s away.You’ll have to do your part. However, once you’ve graduated, You will thank yourself for making a good decision. Thank you southwest trucking school! This was hands down the best thing I have done..and you guys have helped me Thur that I learned a lot Thur the class room with Jon he answers all the questions our class had and if he didn’t know he would find out..he also was very knowledgeable and knew so much about over the road..this school is great all the instructions all have done different stuff in trucking and very knowledgeable in there own way and parts ..And then of course the range part of the school with me great instruction Judy!! She was great she was really clam and helped me get out of my head.. She could see in my eye when I would over think stuff and tell me you got this don’t worry just relax..She took her time with our group and we had a great time and experience with her…I recommend Judy for a range teacher!

I have enjoyed my time at Southwest. They have some very good instructors that want you to succeed and will help with anything you may be struggling with. The second two weeks when you are on "the range" driving are obviously more fun then the first two weeks of classroom. But, you need both to be successful. We had Judy for our instructor in the range and she is awesome! She has a lot of experience and knowledge. If you pay attention to her and study, you will pass your CDL test.

I am very pleased with Southwest. I met with John for the process in getting started with school, there we so many financial options and he made it very easy to understand. Adriana is on top of job opportunities available when you complete. Jahnessa helped with the I formation on obtaining my CDL Permit, I received it in about 1 week and a half. Judy was the best on the range, she made it quite easy for me to understand How to maneuver the semi. Also very exceptional personality. Very patient with students. Great overall experience, would highly recommend the school others.

I attended Southwest Truck Driving Training and I would recommend the school to anyone who would like to learn how to drive properly. The instructor I was assigned was Greg he greets students with warm welcomes and are open to talk to. Greg is professional, patient and brakes down the content of the material so that it is easily grasped.. The training aspect was a great experience which aids better learning. Southwest provides and relaxing learning environment for students. I pass my skills test first time. I feel confident driving on the road as a safe CDL driver. I really enjoyed my training experience with Southwest! From the very kind Adri at front desk/career services! I was glad to already have a prehire before graduation. Thanks to John for helping me get on board and prepare for school. My class instructor Matt was quick at getting us what we needed before the permit test. Shawn was a hardcore teacher that made sure we got what we needed. Gayla was a great instructor! Kristen was such a great help with everything. Mark is a fantastic director!

I would just like to say that all of the staff at STDT was very professional made me feel comfortable in class and out in the driving range. Very good school to attend if you're trying to get your CDL they make sure you know everything to obtain your license they get 10 Stars

Gayla was my 2 weeks instructor before I went on to the hands on part and she was fantastic, she has this great personality and the part that I liked was that the class wasn't boring. Had fun and learned at the same time, definitely recommend south west truck driving training school to anybody trying to get into the cdl business!

I has a awesome experience at this school, my in class teacher Liz was the best she really helped up figure out what we didnt understand and was patient with us. And Gabe was my driver trainer he helped us alot as well he had a great attitude and smooth instructions. This school is worth it!

Wonderful in class instruction, the classes are well organized, in truck instruction is made enjoyable by highly skilled drivers like Judy my new mentor, used to be Mike.. but.. he was good too..
