When looking for a school, I chose the Source Academy, and as it turned out, it was the right choice. Every dollar spent is worth it. If I could give them 10 stars I would! There instructors are great and as long as you listen to what they are teaching you, you will succeed! The owners are great guys as well, they come out and check to see how you and your instructors are doing and help out with the instructing too when they have time! They are all very knowledgeable when talking about the trucking industry and they even have some cool and funny stories from their own experiences in the industry! My name is Brian Williams and I strongly recommend this school to anyone that's serious about being a truck driver. This school overly prepared me for the DMV. This school makes sure you get more than enough time in the truck. I've been to 2 other trucking schools and left because of the lack of time in the truck, but at Source Academy I received enough experience to feel comfortable driving trucks as a career. I called and asked about their hazmat certificate. He asked me if I went to school there . I told him no . Hey gave me a price of $500!!!! That’s insane . I told him 500 is a lot of money for just a certificate. He replied well we gotta give you classes . I said but literally it’s just a certificate and book work. Then he hung up on me as soon as I said that . Hanging up on someone shows a lot about a business. I wasn’t arguing with the guy but I hope my fellow truckers don’t get taken advantage of 500 . can't say enough about how impressed I am with Source Trucking Academy. I've had my CDL since 1985. Back in those days you didn't need as much training as you do now. It's been well over 20 years since I've taken the written exam, and while I've used my CDL I'm turning 65 this year and I know they're going to make me take it. I definitely needed a refresher. I met Cody and Susan at the California trucking show and I was quite impressed with them. I contacted them about getting the information I would need to pass the CDL written test. Did they come through for me! I was impressed with the amount of information they had and that they were adaptable for each persons abilityand schedule. I personally know there are other schools that will charge you far more and get you far less training then you will get from Source Trucking Academy.

Susan Reyes has great customer service and seems to do her best given the circumstances. Angel is an excellent instructor that seems to really care about her students. Anthony handles himself well enough, was straight to the point with good effective advice and was patient with me which was appreciated. There were three other instructors that turned their back on me and refused to teach me over a slight misunderstanding, with no conflict resolution.

Best advice I could give you is to make sure they don't overschedule on skills you are already proficient in. Having to do 6+ hours of straight backing was ridiculous; when it got to the end of my course I was not given enough time in other skills, had to be given extra hours. Some of those instructors say they care but really like to talk about it more than actually showing it with their actions.

Given the drama there was still people there that cared and saw it through that I got my CDL.

If I could give zero stars I would! This school is so unprofessional they shouldn't even be in business. I called in to get my refund back, I spoke with Anthony who works in "operations" so I have no idea why he was even in "admissions" when he originally signed me up for the school. He made it very clear that if I wanted a refund I needed to understand that the school had already earned 25% ($475) of what I had already paid ($1900) which I was ok with. I then spoke with Susan who is completely unprofessional, asked me to email her in which I did but NEVER got a response, so I decided to give her two days to get back to me (never happened). So I called the school on a Friday she promised she would get back to me by the end of the day, also never happened. Today I decide to go up to the school since customer service is clearly not a priority for them, spoke with the school director, CODY BARKER who is an EXTREMELY RUDE, MONEY HUNGRY individual who had absolutely no guilt for their unprofessionalism. He came to me with a check for $950!!! Did not even say one word to me regarding the issue which is $475 LESS than what they originally told me they had "earned" when I never even took one class at this school. Per his words "what ever was said to me on the phone is irrelevant ." Such a terrible experience, not the way a business should be ran. I would not recommend ANYBODY go to this school because all they want is YOUR MONEY and the staff is extremely unprofessional!

My review is roughly 90% Aimed at Angel that went above and beyond anytime I had questions , needed extra help , or just needed a good laugh . She was awesome , really cares about her students , make sure you sneak in as much time with her as possible ! Other then that Source did what they advertised and that's help get your CDL . Other instructors were helpful as well , highly recommend this school !

I showed up at Source Trucking Academy with a narrow window of time to get my Class A CDL. Cody explained the process and enrolled me in class the same day! The online courses thoroughly taught me the information needed to understand the trucking industry. I was able to schedule 8-hour days at the school to practice my inspection and driving skills at an accelerated pace. All the instructors are very well experienced, helping me to build a great foundation of truck driving knowledge. Their efficient system enabled me to pass my DMV test on the first try, attaining my CDL in just over two weeks! I highly recommend choosing Source Trucking Academy to launch your career in the trucking industry.

Most terrible school you can possibly go to. The teaching is terrible and it's only a bunch of money hungry people that half ass teach and want your money. Anthony the "head teacher" is nothing but petty and rude and he's not there to help anyone but himself you're better off finding any other school on the planet than to go here it's a waste of money and time at the end of the day. Don't waste anything on these people it's a waste. they also treat most of their teachers like crap too hiring and firing new people every month such crap.
