The mechanic sat in the truck and was on the phone for 2 hours. arrived at 11 am, in the evening they said it would be ready tomorrow. We didn’t want to wait and took the truck and they charged us the full amount for repairs. supposedly the work was completed completely. if they finished repairing the truck then why should I wait until tomorrow?
A huge shout out to Nick and the Mobil tech Adam. I had an issue with the DEF system on my one year old diesel pusher RV. Went into limp mode just as I pulled into my RV spot. I called Freightliner. They called Empire truck in Mobile Alabama. Nick called me almost immediately. We discussed my issue, he was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Was sure he knew what the fault was. He had the necessary part in stock. Amazing. He scheduled their Mobil tech Adam to come to me and diagnose the issue. He even brought the part with him. Adam was amazing. Diagnosed the problem, Nick was right. Replaced the part and all my check engine lights went off. No longer in limp mode. Same day service. Work completed. What a pleasure doing business with Empire Trucks and these two gentlemen. FYI I’m a 73 year old female Vietnam Veteran traveling by myself with my two pups. My only regret? Wish Empire was nationwide.
Well, going for quick repair to dealership is not our first choice. 155$ an hour at this place. I’m glad I came earlier and asked mechanic what he’s doing? He broke brake chamber and I did not ask to work on my break chamber, and it’s not why one star. One star because I personally had to listen how one service desk guy was teaching another service desk guy how to sell repair service to my fellow truck driver. Same old story. Tell him that there’s a leak and we can fix it , if you get stopped at the weight station,DOT they will put you out of service. We can get it done by Friday. This is how you sell it to him, was his last words. Shame on you. Not coming back.
The mobile branch is always so helpful whether it is picking up parts or for service. My rep Miller Kinstley is fantastic and couldn’t thank him more. Will be purchasing more trucks from here and send all my fleet here for service.
Stay away from this place. They will try to screw you up with repairs your truck doesn`t need
We have been staying here for a couple of days, with a air compressor issue. Initially it was $3700 + for only checking and fixing the air compressor, but they have added $1300+ for nothing worthy, all they can say is the time they have spend on diagnosing other issues on truck but not dealing with them. To be honest we have paid that because we had no other choice as long as our truck was out of order, then rolling no more than 7 miles the truck alerted with the same issue and we came back again. Now they are telling us that it has an air drier problem which need to be replaced. Honestly I would not even mark 1star. Holly scammers...
I wish I had saw all the negative reviews before I took my truck. They are all true. They charge you for supplies that are not used on your particular job and charge more hours than the job actually takes. Try them and see.
People at Service department are nice, I would give it 5 stars except that part wasn't available and it was just a common issue.
Worst dealer I’ve dealt with. I’d give 0 stars if allowed.
Awful. Terrible. Got issues with coolant, needed to change coolant line. They told me its 4.5 hour job. I’m mechanic myself in Chicago, I know its a max 3 hour job. I asked them to diagnose couple other stuff which is 2 hour more extra job. Total comes out $2771.72. (Labor is $2500)When I asked where it came from, couldn’t even properly explain me where they get this rate from. Shift manager Carl, has no idea how they drew this numbers up. All he did, coming up with 200$ discount. I end up paying them $2500, other shops quoted me $1400. They took advantage of it since my truck wasn’t drivable. Otherwise, I would never go there. Scammers. Liers. Do not go there!!!!
Giving a 5 because of Farrell Reed, service writer and Jason the tech. Both were great. My 2 complaints are the 3% credit card surcharge, required a deposit for repairs to be started. Wasn't going to pay the 3% so drive to dealership and wrote a check for the Full price of the estimate. Repairs were to take a week so plenty of time for check to clear. Almost took an act of congress and my first born to pay by check. Thank goodness for Farrell and Jason.
The only thing I can say they did me right, professional, courtesy and kept me informed.Great job!
This place ridiculous charge me over 500$ got diagnostic and voided the warranty for any reason they wanted to after part wasn't properly install , overcharge for labor do not get your equipment service here unless u want be rob for 2k plus in fees
Great experience, i pulled in with a set of doubles attached, i had to buy some blank keys to get keyed for an abandoned truck we had to pick up. Great customer service. Unfortunately, they can not make freightliner keys because their machine broke years ago, so i had to go to a peterbuilt shop in Theodore to get them keyed.
We have used this place multiple times, but this last time was completely unacceptable. We own a fleet, one of out drivers took a brand new truck, bumper to bumper warranty in to be looked at over a leak. Shop never called us with what they found, they just started working on a new truck under warranty without owner authorization. To top it off it wasn't a truck but APU issue, so truck should have been send to carrier to fix it for free. Instead they replaced a hose, charged us over $800 for it, while they are not even certified to work on Carrier. I've also been waiting for call back about this for 3 days now, they are simply ignoring it. Never ever use this place, they do work on equipment they have no business working on, risk voiding your warranties, then charge you crazy amounts of $ for warranty items. Big NO NO
They are crooks! Don't go here drivers. Besides overcharging for work and psrts they take forever to do things. I got charged 380 for a 30min diagnostic because I decided not to do the work there cause of there crazy prices. These idiots think truckers are rich and will try to screw you out of every penny.
