I towed a tuck in over the weekend. Great reception upon delivery and a smooth easy hand off. South side Towing out of Nashville TN will most definitely do more business with Nextran Truck centers.
Worst experience ever dealing with this shop. Spent over $18000 and a month doing repairs on my truck at the shop and still had a leak when I left. Lack of communications. Steven, Nick, Zack, all of them. I constantly had to keep calling to get info on the services being done. Each time I call, there is new discovery. After several complaints, before I got emails updates. Do not have them work on your truck if you're not on site. Bunch of Thieves. They laterally kept prolonging my job to kept charging. Do one job, charge and than find something else later. Will NEVER NEVER NEVER take my truck to any Nextran locations!!!
Update: We ended up having the work done here. Dropped the truck off Thursday afternoon and picked up the following Thursday. We were quoted Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest. They were not honest about how long it would take, I'm guessing they didn't want to lose the $8,000 job. It took 2 days longer than quoted, with all parts in stock. We went to check on it one night and they said they were pulling it in to complete work-including replacing a part they broke while doing repairs. They pulled truck in and we left. They pulled truck right back out and did nothing to the truck. James, the mechanic, wouldn't even talk to my husband when he picked it up. And Steven, the service manager, has no idea what is going on in the shop. I understand things happen and sometimes things get broken but, delaying our down time because of it is not acceptable. Trucks only make money when the wheels are rolling.- If this statement is true for you, look for another location to do the work. Original review: Service Dept opens at 7am but the only guy that runs diagnostics doesn't come in until after lunchtime...so, plan accordingly. This shop seems to be geared more towards local business and not otr customers.
An alignment & filter went from one week to a start of 3 weeks. As of 4/2/23, STILL NOT ready. The one star is for Dusty & Nick, very polite.
Amazing service! John from the parts department saved my day and a lot of $. He found a way to deliver a part to me while I was on highway! Don't hesitate to ask for him if you need anything! Thank you John
Very friendly and knowledgeable service writers. They keep you informed of any changes to your work order and point out any other items of concern. Mechanics are very efficient in their repair process and double their work.
I've had my truck in this shop 3 times. First of all the guys at both service desk and parts seem like good folks, their mechanics are good at what they do ,I believe, my only complaint is I believe they overbook their shop up and therefore it tends to take twice as long to get your truck repaired and back to it's owner, causing a huge loss in downtime.. any owner will tell you that every day your down it's a minimum of $800 to $1000 a day gross revenue. That can be pretty substantial..
Everyone is always helpful and easy to work with. John at the parts counter is great with Mack parts. There’s a Mack dealer closer to me but I drive to Madison every time I need parts because of the knowledgable parts guys.
This is my first thought in large truck repairs. I have a long standing relationship with the service department. They fix things others cant seem to be able or willing to troubleshoot. If The Truck is safe to drive then I will put off the repair until i can bring it here. Recently we had an AC malfunction. One minute it us running the next nothing, 6 shops attempted the repairs, wasted thousands of dollars in down time and replaced parts I believe were not bad. One dayin the shop at Nextran, they identified a broken wire.... Suddenly, problem solved. In a world where everyone wants to sell parts, no one wants to actually look to see why the part is not working. At Nextran, they work as a team, this I find is rare. As i stated earlier, if the truck will drive safely, I don't care how far i have to drive to bring it to Nextran. 2000 miles is cheaper than doing the job over and over, only to end up at Nextran for the final fix.
They know how to take care and fix your truck. Even when they don't have a part they will order it and it will arrive in several days and they fix it better than what it was five stars.
They always beat any other dealer prices for labor and parts. I dont even drive a Volvo/Mack but I do have a Cummins engine so they have almost all the parts I'd need. Keep it up ?
Awesome parts place, for trailer truck's. Open till 9pm
Very nice staff. Although it took much longer then anticipated to fix our transmission but truck is back on the road and all is working fine.
Great place to have your truck worked on. They were all friendly, got the repairs done quickly and have a nice lounge with TV for you to wait.
Great job on getting me back up and running and under the original estimated price . parts were in Stock and ready to go. Thank you folks for a job well done.
Had an issue with a part and Brian Snow went above and beyond to rectify problem and my reimbursement! Don’t find employees like him these days!
