If I could give no stars, I would. This place SCAMMED my friend out of her money. They sold her a truck that needed so many things fixed on it. As soon as she drove it off of the lot, the truck broke down. They tried to gaslight her and tell her that it was her fault, despite what the mechanic at the truck manufacturer said and they claimed to fix things that they didn’t. And even when the truck manufacturer tried to step in on her behalf, they refused to take their calls and make things right. They really got over on her because she was a new truck buyer. DO NOT BUY A TRUCK FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! They will sell you a faulty truck and not care one bit if it works or not, just as long as it works enough to get it off of their lot.
First time truck buyer, new CDL driver. Been a hotshot for a while, took the next step. We did not think we could ever buy a truck since I am a new CDL driver. Our options were dismal at best. Then we contacted Colossal. They helped us get around every obstacle. We were not able to pull a deal together despite Colossal's efforts and started to look at Plan B. Colossal was not done. They used their knowledge and ability to help us finalize the deal. It took almost 30 days, but we are the proud owners of a beautiful 2017 Freightliner Cascadia, in very nice condition. Colossal hung in there through the whole process with us. It is rare these days to find people who have the ability to help others be willing to do so at their own expense of time and effort. Jason, Jose and Ignatius ("Iggy") did that for us. They could have written us off and moved on. Colossal is successful, and they did not need our sale. But they stopped and helped us. We will never forget what you did for us. The owners should be very proud of you and what you do for the trucking community. We wish you great continued success. I know we'll be back for our next truck.
Yeah so I was eager to purchase a truck as a new owner operator, and knew very little about dealership standards and values. I purchased two trucks from Tom in the event that one brakes down, I could keep rolling. I tried to make sure that all was in order with trucks, and all seemed good, but within the first couple weeks nothing but issues, also it’s been 5months later and still issues. No warranty here, and trucks are a money pit. The team was nice, warm, and welcoming, but none of that matters when trucks are no good. My advise is to make sure trucks are thoroughly inspected, from top to bottom. Driving truck off lot alone wasn’t allowed, to really listen and feel the truck. And no warranty is a no deal. Be careful!!!
Bad customer service from the start, they’ll lie and tell you whatever to get you going and to make a sale. My truck is already in the shop. They don’t keep their word. Worst vehicle experience. The “new” management doesn’t mean anything.
Very satisfied with this dealer! Tom was very straight forward with his dealing and communication. Christine and Amanda made the paperwork and transportation a very seamless process. Not only did they pick me up at the airport but also put me up in a very nice motel when the truck had an mechanical issue that couldn’t be resolved till the follow day. When the truck developed a starter issue Tom took care of all the repair expenses including after I purchased the truck and it left me set he paid for the service truck and full repair! Can’t say enough good about this company! Thanks again for the great experience!
I waited about 9 months after purchase to leave a review. So far, my truck has been pleagued with issues. From the beginning, the entire purchase was a nightmare. My first conversation was cordial and productive. They had about a dozen trucks on hand from the same fleet. I was told to let them know which one I wanted and they'd hold it, as I was flying about 1,000 miles to pick it up. After reviewing their inventory, I chose my truck. It took several messages to get a response...and this time I was dealing with the younger family member. I had to catch him up on everything and basically renegotiate the whole thing. After doing this, I purchased airline tickets. A day before I was to fly down(maybe 3 or 4 days after purchasing flights), I called down to confirm my arrival. This time, I got a woman. She knew nothing about my purchase and proceeded to tell me the truck I reserved had been sold and only 3 were left. I was told my truck was sold bc I hadn't left a deposit, which I was never asked to do. This time, I gave a deposit. I flew down, to pick my truck up, and she tried to raise the price. After a tense exchange, she agreed to honor the agreed on price. The truck drove nicely, so I purchased it. As we were leaving, the water in fuel light came on. One of their mechanics swapped fuel filters and cleared the code. Shortly after, the light came back on...along with a check engine light. Despite that, the truck made the trip back. Then, things got fun. The truck has a massive current draw, which kills four 1100cca batteries in just a few days. I'm still getting the water in fuel warning. I've since also needed to replace the DPF and I have a massive oil leak, coming from behind the timing cover. I wish I could go back and un-purchase this truck. Had I been more informed, I could have done so much better with my hard earned money. I'm not leaving one star bc the truck was clean, everything worked, and it did make a thousand mile drive home. Also, I understand that it is a used truck and things happen. However, that doesn't change my disappointment or overall buying experience.
My father drove 4 hours to look at a truck to be told when he arrived that, that truck was already sold. Even though it’s the one he originally drove to see. Then he looked at another truck that he was told had 100,000mi on the rebuild WITH PAPERWORK (said the add). And it actually had one million and 100,000mi WITHOUT A REBUILD. When asked if he could run the truck the salesman told him he had to put down 40 percent JUST TO TURN IT OVER. This place is a disgrace to actual truck dealerships, a huge scam, and they advertise false info. And by looking at some of the other reviews it looks like we’re not the only ones with this issue. Pretty sure the 359 is just for advertisement. OWNER OPERATORS BE WARNED TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. CROOKS.
I drove 2.5 hours to come look at a truck they had front and center on their lot. Waited around for about an hour for a sales person to take care of me. Started up the truck and noticed immediate problems. The fan clutch was out and the catwalk was not even attached to the frame! The sales person then of course did not let me take the truck on a test drive. When asked for the engine rebuild paperwork that is clearly stated on their ad sales person said "oh, we don't have that". He then immediately asked for a 1,000 dollar deposit for a truck I was unable to drive and had several issues! Nuts! I would not trust them.
Stay far away from this place. I bought a truck from them I don't even run my first load and my truck breakdown. My truck is in the shop for 2 months now ?♂️. You guys need to do better mane. I'm young trying to make life an you guys put me in negative right now. Just a update 8 months later my truck still in the shop waiting for a unit pumps that's on back order. Smh Tom did me dirty .
Honestly I would give more start if I could. the service was great but even tho the truck are old they drive out the lot looking brand new and for great prices. Tom and his team are very professional I seen the truck before it was getting a work done onto it and after it was done it looked new the tanks and rim was shining and the inside was clean and smelled like cherries I honestly don’t know why they only let you do 5 star rating cause this deserve 10
What started out as what I believe was a good deal didn’t end very well. While Johnathan was very helpful, it was very difficult at times communicating with Angel. I arranged an inspection and came out of town twice for the truce we purchased. I was very disappointed that exactly what was agreed upon to be repaired before we purchased our truck wasn’t. It ended up breaking down during our very first run and has been very costly for us to repair. That is the reason I couldn’t give all the stars I originally planned to. I reached out as soon as these part issues occurred and no one reached back out to assist. Because of this I can no longer refer clients here as enthusiastically as I had before.
Well I see bad reviews on this dealership and I want to start off saying it’s always on the forefront of ones mind to complain when something doesn’t go thier way. My experience on their hand was incredible and it will take some time to explain so if u are not in to long detailed reviews quit reading now. I flew down from Utah to look purchase a truck , had cashiers check in hand arrived the next day . I looked over truck really well found some small things wrong with truck such as lights, seatbelt malfunction, and air horn not working (actually there was more I just forget). The dealer fixed everything I asked for took about 3/4 of day , did not complain or try to negotiate just fixed what I asked to be fixed . He got all of it done and asked me if we were ready to test drive , took it out and had no problems. We got back and had a deal truck, i still feel today that was good price in truck . I left the dealership and got about 40 miles north and broke down truck was starving on fuel . Couldn’t get it to run . I called dealer and told him what’s going on (right away without blinking) said no worries calm down and I am gonna get u towed back to my shop. I spent a lot of money on truck and was extremely worried about my investment. He was confident in his truck and told me that he will fix it not to worry. He paid the tow I got back to his place about 7pm way after hours he paid for hotel and told me see u tomorrow. I get to shop next day we know it’s fuel problem he asked me to let him work on it confident he could fix whatever problem it was . He threw some parts at it a lift valve , hand pump and fuel filter . Truck fired up back to running nothing to see problems leaving dealership again . Get down road and same thing truck was starving for fuel . I was able to drive it back to dealer . I get back and everyone on his team is disappointed nobody is sure why truck is having problems. The next thing that happens is the owner (Tom) walks out and hands me my check back and says “man this just ain’t the truck for you” . Yes u read it right Tom the same guy who other reviews talk negatively about did something that blew my mind . He refunded my money no questions asked . I felt obligated to reimburse him for tow night before so I did . I know Tom still lost money on that deal for that I am sorry . I will say this I was able to connect with Tom and appreciated the way he did business. He is very old school he knows a lot u will not get over on him and he will not let u take advantage of him but if u do good business he will treat you same way. He is an upstanding and honest guy . He has the knowledge to know when it’s his fault or customer fault . He never once tried to make me feel like I wasn’t gonna be happy with experience. Even though I did not buy truck, I came away with something better a friend . Look not every business gonna make every deal be good and smooth . But as far as having great customer service that can be done every time . I have no doubt I will see Tom again in future and look forward to it . I would recommend this dealer to my grandmother (if she drive truck LOL) .
I purchased a 2012 Kenworth T660 back in June of 2021. Drove down about six hours from Georgia to look at the truck had a local mechanic come out and inspect. Everything seemed legit. Test drove it maybe a mile or two ran ok nothing evident to the naked eye besides speedometer wasn't working. It’s been a disaster from that day forward. Luckily I made it back to my hometown. The next day woke up to take to my mechanic seventeen thousand dollars for motor work. As far as the speedometer not working, I thought maybe a sensor at the most. Well, I’m being told that the harness is missing and speed sensor, you would think it would be an easy fix. No, the transmission isn’t matching up for some reason to the actual engine system. No speedometer, no Eld! Which means you can’t make any money! I’d advise any drivers looking for a truck to go elsewhere. Save yourself the downtime and out-of-pocket expenses.
I would advise most to not use their in house credit service. Will approve you at a 60/40 down payment but then work the payments so that your down payment is not added in. You basically GIVE the loan company 20k for approving you and then pay the full interest amount for the truck as if you made no down payment. I'd rather deal with a loan payday or shark.
Amazing people at TSI, had a great experience dealing with Tom, David and Angel, this people have gone way out of their way to help me out with the purchase of my truck. It has been a pleasure to come and buy from TSI. If you are looking for a used Semi Truck this is the place to come in South Florida. (This is an Update to my one year old review of TSI.) After one year of driving the Red Volvo I bought from them, my truck still runs like new. I am extremely happy that I bought this truck with TSI if I had to buy another truck I will certain go back to TSI. Thank you guys.
Bought a 2013 Mack CXU613 automatic from TSI. Very good truck and very good customer service. The title was from Tennessee and Christina transfered it to Florida. I asked for a paper copy and she got DMV to mail it to me in 2 days at my address. Perfict servce and good people. Thanks to Tom, Christene and Jonathan.
