We are a family business with locations in Indiana, and Ohio. Since our beginning in 1958, our goal has been to provide our customers with second to none support. In addition to selling and servicing new trucks, all of our locations sell and service all makes of used Light, Medium, and Heavy Duty Trucks, operate full service Lease and Rental Operations, and Collison Centers equipped to repair all makes of light, medium, and heavy duty trucks. General Truck Sales is proud to have been selected as the Volvo Trucks North American Dealer of the Year recipient four times over the past 15 years. We are very proud to have won this award in 2006, 2010, 2016 and 2018.

Let me start by saying I have had good experiences in the past with the service department at General Truck. This time however is a completely different story. Called to speak with a service staff member and explained the issues the truck was having and verified that they could work on it BEFORE I had it towed there. After having the truck for a week they called and said that they couldn’t actually fix it. Had to then convince them not to charge me for the diagnostic work. Naturally I was not happy that I now have to pay a $650 tow bill, and an additional tow bill to take it elsewhere. If you can’t work on the truck, just say so upfront and save us all the hassle.

Iam very pleased with this shop. Very clean and comfortable environment. I’ve been getting work done here since 2017 and they always go over and beyond their call of duty. Even when it comes down to warranty work they replace parts and all labor and fluids is on them. My recent experience my truck was losing power I pulled right in they found the problem since it was a easy fix , all it cost me was a hand shake and a thank you. I truly love this repair facility.

First time service customer here. Had a bad experience for simple issue. They have absolutely no idea what’s going on with the truck because different people say different things and no one is in sync. They straight up lie to you intentionally or unintentionally I don’t know. Prices are also absurd. Better to go Andy Mohr. They are bad too but compared to these guys, I have slightly better experience there. also any repair estimate and dates these guys say, add another 3-4 days. Even if parts are all in stock

I like this place, everyone is very helpful, and nice! It's a newer location, and they always seem to have the parts I need. Also, on a huge note. They are open late. I think every day but Sunday they are open til midnight! I just want to thank the guys and girls of General Truck Sales, Pendleton,IN.

Came into shop on a Thursday at about 1pm, to get my expansion tank and radiator replace they took me right in and started working on the truck and had me out in no time… truck was ready the next morning at 8AM. They drop me off and a really nice shuttle SUV at the hotel nearby and pick me up the next morning when the truck was ready to take me back to the dealership to pick up my truck. The driver waiting area is super clean with cable TV very comfortable with reclining chairs and large windows to see down in the shop bay while they’re working on your truck. I highly recommend this dealership and shop, I was very pleased with the professionalism and how clean the shop was. It will really take care of you and make sure you’re satisfied before you leave. This shop is incredible! I called ahead because my AC had gone out. I arrived, on a Friday before a holiday at 2:30 PM, and pulled into the bay immediately. In less than 5 hours I had a new compressor installed and was on my way. Any other Volvo shop wouldn't have even looked at my truck until Tuesday or Wednesday the following week.

This place is amazing! They do great work, are very friendly and are very up front and honest. I go out of my way to get my Volvo tractor serviced here. I will and do recommend them to anyone needing work on a Volvo. I will be coming here to look for my next tractor when that time arrives. Thank you for a exceptional customer experience!

If the dealership itself can’t find the issue what’s wrong with the truck then who will? We checked in the truck 3 times and they will change parts of something which they think will solve the problem but they don’t really know how to actually fix it. Spent $3k in 2 visits and they were charging another $1.9k for another part which they can’t guarantee whether it will solve the problem. Labor is costing much more than the parts. They ran test drive and said everything is okay but while exiting the parking lot the problem was still there. Did not provide me with any diagnosis papers either.

We were driving and we had a check engine light and code come on. We called Volvo remote diagnostics, and they stated it was an open circuit for doser valve for the dpf system and would probably derate the truck. So we called General truck sales in Pendleton Indiana and the service manager said bring it right in. As soon as we got there we drove inside they diagnosed it immediately and fixed us up in less than an hour and we were back on the road. Personel were super fast and friendly. The facility was one of the cleanest and nicest looking facilities we've been too in a long long time. 5☆'s for sure!!!!

I have been going here for about a half a year and every time I pick up my truck something is not right or incomplete. I should have learned after the first few times but here are a few things that has happened to me. Fuel cap left off, two of the three air filter bolts missing, generic filters installed, hood bushings left off and a bolt rubbed a hole in the air intake pipe from it, hood latch left undone, incomplete Lube job, low on oil after oil change. I kept working with them with higher hopes today's phone call revealed to me that they need my truck so they can go over it with the technician to be sure he's doing it correctly I'm still in shock over that one. But I can honestly say we are done!

I am grateful to everyone who helped me today. I called in the morning, my two codes on the pdf lit up, I arrived at 10 am, they immediately took it and started checking. at 4-30 pm the truck was ready. everything quickly and efficiently. the dealership looks very clean. Thank you.

The Happy Truck Place! Great reception by Bill and Pat. Called ahead in the blizzard and got in quick as promised. R&R EGR cooler+. Beautiful drivers lounge. Would have liked some contact with the actual mechanics. As an O/O it is important that they know for whom they are working and for us to show our respect for quality work. Gorgeous facility! Disco truck leaves a smile on every face. Well done Partners!
