Stopped here for a fellow driver so I went browsing around, looked at a cut open brake chamber, which was really cool, seen how it actually worked. I needed to use the restroom and walked by a coffee area soda machine and a snack machine then took 2 more turns to find the woman’s restroom, very clean and they actually had a shower in the bigger stall ?
I am a real Veteran. (USN) I am grateful Tim Gerard checked the messages that was left getting on Saturday. He did me a great favor and went out of his way and used his own personal pickup to pick up my part from another dealership with whom he had a friend on the inside, this special part which is known as an air manifold. Tim Gerard made all this happen on a Sunday My youngest son is serving right now he leaves for Poland this Friday but I only have till Tuesday to see him on Wednesday morning after that he's restricted to the base with the rest of the unit until they leave I am forever grateful for Tim Gerard for helping me and his friend at the other dealership
I walked in this store at 10:00 bought an AC compressor line. At 10:15 I walked over and talked to the service manager about putting the line on and charging the AC system for me. This guy said he didn't have time to do it by the time he got it wrote up got somebody to be on the work order it would be after 12:00 and they would be closed. He was too busy gossiping with the other employees to do his job and to make this company any money. If you don't want to work let somebody else that does want to work do your job.
My experience was as follows dropped Truck off Friday November 10 with check engine light on got a call later that afternoon saying I had fuel filter seal damaged dpf filter soot level high needed cleaned and something (can't remember name of part ) in transmission needed replaced he said he would send me an estimate for approval had not received any thing so called to check in and was told the transmission only needed an update and they would send an estimate for approval I got it this time and approved and asked for an eta on completion and got no response sent another email couple days later asking for eta no return so called and was told cleaning dpf did not fix gonna have to replace and was waiting for parts finally got the call truck was ready for pick up November 27th picked truck up the 28th at night upon inspection the next day in the daylight found they did not change fuel filters so I called and they said I could bring it to them and they could change them Or they could refund my money for the parts and labor not done I went with the refund he said it would be middle of next week wich would have been Dec 6th still nothing and it is Dec 11th I plan to chalk ot up as a lesson learned and not waste anymore time with this situation So a quick recap had my truck 17 days for dpf filter, cv filter transmission software update, and (fuel filters not completed) UPDATE I received two phone calls from two different people and the have refunded money and after good conversations with two very polite and courteous individuals will consider using again in the future
I would give 0 stars if possible! We live almost 2 hours away from this shop. Our truck needed an S-Cam housing. My husband called and was told they had the part. Late on Friday evening when he arrived home, we drove to get the part so the truck could be in the shop ( in the town we live in) the next morning. Our truck was loaded and headed to Denver for Monday morning. James helped my husband when we arrived. My husband asked him ( literally) 4 times if this part was for the drivers side. All 4 times, James replied, " Yes." He also told my husband that the part is universal and would fit either side. Doubting him, my husband asked, "Are you sure?". Again, he replied, "Yes." Saturday morning, the shop at home takes the truck apart to replace the drivers side S-Cam housing. They take the part out of the box, and it is for the passengers' side. So now our truck is torn down, loaded for Denver, and we drove almost 2 hours to get the incorrect part. How nice that James has a computer at his fingertips and is too lazy or uneducated to use it to ensure that he is selling the customer the correct part late on Friday evening. UPSET and STRESSED OUT is an UNDERSTATEMENT! Thnx for ruining what little time I had with my husband last weekend after he has been gone since the previous Sunday. One would think that a person would have some knowledge to work behind that desk! This is not like working at Wal-Mart! This is supposed to be a place where workers have a little knowledge even if it is just yo use the keyboard full of everything they need to know AT THEIR FINGERTIPS! What a huge failure on your part, James! Someone needs to take a few minutes and inform James that he needs to do BETTER! This is UNACCEPTABLE! Not to mention that it makes the business get lots of TERRIBLE publicity! You can only imagine what the shop who was working on the truck tells all of their customers that are going to do business with this shop in Fenton. It's definitely worth the extra 15-20 to drive to the dealer in Sauget, IL, for the part you need!! It's not like we purchased a $50 part. This part was more than $800.00.
We had to wait a long time to get our truck fixed but people were friendly and they allowed us to shower and do laundry, overall it was a good experience. Driver’s lounge was nice and comfortable with recliners, tv, tables, plenty of outlets to charge your phones. They can’t control being short staffed unfortunately
The staff here is very helpful and good. I get parts here and service work for things I can't handle.
I recently had a clutch and a tail light bar installed here at CIT Trucks-Fenton. I must say that this place over delivered on a job well done. The service department handled my repairs in a professional manner and got me back on the road quickly…
Spoke to a stranded driver waiting for a qualified mechanic. Glad I changed my mind and went to Best Drive for my alignment.
Thank you for your friendly greeting, and efficient check-in for the new Kenworth tractor I brought to you!
I was here once before for a small repair wasn’t to bad so I figured I can trust them considering it’s hard to find a good shop but I soon realized that I was wrong and they’re just like all the others. Few weeks ago I went in for some diagnostics and a repair the repair was a cold coolant leak explained really well to the front desk what was going on anyway when the time came to pick my truck up come to find out they charged almost $800 for a hose that my 2 year old daughter could of changed not only that BUT THEY NEVER FIXED THE COOLANT LEAK still leaking coolant. Very very shameful of you kenworth with a name and brand like you guys I honestly would have expected better never bringing my truck back to kenworth nor will I recommend anyone to come there.
This repair was my first experience with a CIT facility. It was a good experience. My truck was in the shop and repaired in the time frame they said it would be, which was nice! All of the staff I had contact with was knowledgeable and professional.
Did a great job repairing my truck. Had to wait a little bit but it was well worth it. Everyone was great my only problem is they aren't open 7 days but they are very professional and they do great work. Thank you guys for taking care of my truck I appreciate all you guys do.
Very clean business! Driver lounge very nice comfortable recliners, and available clean shower, rest room. Also offer ride to motels if layover takes place. Impressed with the hospitality!
The folks at CIT Fenton are great! Yesterday we had a driver in route to Illinois when and he had gotten a derate message on his truck. I called CIT and asked if they could help me and they got him in, checked and fixed the issue! Thank you CIT, I have used your shop before and will continue when the need arrises! Director of Maintance at Fleenor Brothers.
Absolutely horrible service. Took 4 days just to get DOT and State inspection. First they told me my truck needed a hose because it was leaking. Then when I went up and told them I’ll replace it myself and bring it back they said there wasn’t a leak anymore. Total scam artists. Do not bring your truck there. They will screw you.
