Absolutely the most ridiculous repair experience in over 20 years of trucking. It took 4 days to get a part from Volvo's warehouse that is 78 miles away. All these guys live for is their lunch break each day. There is no concern for customer service whatsoever. The warehouse (after making a shipping mistake 2 days in a row) would not allow me to personally pick up the part. The management should have been able to pull some strings after the warehouse failed to ship it on the first day. When all was done, and I was chomping at the bit to get out of here, the test drive took over 30 minutes.
I arrived on Wednesday to change the cooling fan in the cabin and fill the freon he said tomorrow morning 8 am, I arrived in the morning, but he started working at 12:30 p.m. 3:30 PM wrote for $1401.45 I just preshol change the freon and the cooling fan in the cabin, he said the fan speed sensor needs to be changed, it works why I ask he is a liar I understood later
This review is specifically for Tri-State truck center located in Jackson, TN. I took my truck to this shop to replace turbo and egr. I emailed them saying please don't touch anything else. They ripped the truck appart completely. When I got towing to get it to my shop wrecker couldn't believe how much damage was done. From cracked exast pipe, broken valves, missing wire harness, truck was left with 0 coolant, missing screws, engine cover left loose, injector and injector covers were removed and stashed inside cardbox. Not to mention they charged me 22 hrs of labor to destroy my vehicle. Tried talking to them but was told that is a standard practice there. Emails and pictures of the damages caused by Tri-State truck center are available. Do yourself a favor whatever you do please don't use this shop because they will purposely rip the vehicle appart to get more work even without your approval. Thanks, Adela
Curtis and Tyler were excellent!! Hours away from home and pulling a load, I pulled in and they had my problem accessed and fixed within a few hours. Phenomenal service!!!
Very fast service. I went in for a check engine code. They diagnosed the problem replaced the turbo actuator and I was back on the road in 4 hours. All with amazing customer service. Don't let the 4 stars fool you. I believe that there is always room for improvement and never give a 5 star review. If I did these guys would have definitely gotten 5 stars.
Brandon was super nice and professional this Saturday, he stayed after 3pm to hand the part to my Uber driver. Excellent customer service, thank you again.
Thanks for the great service. Got us in and out the same day when they were short handed.
Upstanding employees. Had a bad coolant leak and these guys got me fixed up and on the road in under 3 hours. Would recommend to anybody. Highly impressed. ?
Would NOT recommend My Volvo was overheating had problem due to thermostat Guys did the service 2-3 h wait and 5-6 hours labor (totally overpriced) apprx..1000$ in the wind Then next week started leaking coolant from the thermostat gasket. Had to redo whole job. Local shop charged me 380$
Overall I must say that they were a good shop. The mechanics and service reps were nice enough. I drive an international with a maxxforce and had the air compressor go out 45 miles east of Jackson. Called around to about 6 international stores only one could get us in the next day and it was 81 miles away. All the other ones were a 4-7 day wait just to be seen. They got us in Thursday and diagnosed the dryer was bad. It was replaced and then they said compressor was out, which I knew. When questioned they said it was intermittent and when they first tested it it was pumping air to the dryer.....I guess its possible. They ran into a few problems because its the maxxfirce and had us out Monday. Considering mom and pop shops run screaming when they hear maxxforce, and tristate is a Volvo mack dealer I can't be upset with the longer than stated wait time. Hell every shop misquotes wait time. Overall I am pleased. I am an owner op as well. Update within a week multiple leaks on the brand new power steering lines that were installed due to a retro kit.
Took my 2013 volvo & they said my egr was leaking , so they replaced it. Two days later my truck is smoking real bad & coolant is all over the engine.I was in lavergne,tn so i went to the volvo shop there & they said it was leaking from the thermostat housing. Its been 24 hours & no leaking so far.i wonder if the egr even needed replaced?
0 stars. Do yourself a favor, avoid these thieves. Rip-off place!
Very poor, will rip you off, replacing parts not need, an when they damage something they blame it on truck. Took truck in to replace head gasket cause started to see water in oil..after getting truck back together some how the bottom of radiator got knocked out ( when they let truck off jacks) An charged me over $5200.00 + labor for there mistake.now water resoivor leaks and it never did before. There machine over charged my A/C an damaged valve an charged me to replace not to mention it bent bracket that holds lines in, so 20 minutes down road it blows again so I had to buy new bracket an recharge myself. Will rob you blind on shop expenses, like $46 for rubber gloves, really! What happened to soap an water?...so a 18g overhaul was over 25g.. Not to mention 2 months prior they couldn't find why I kept listen power to fuse block, so they said wiring harness needed replace over $2700.00 later 200 mills down road, fuse box went out again..along side road I had no choice but to track down power source. Found the . 75 cent butt connector coming off starter was 95% corroded.... Just hope my inframe makes it to 2500000
I do Not recommend for owners and operators! They charged me twice as much as what was verbally agreed on. They should have called me to let me know of the increase. Every time I have my truck serviced here they find more things wrong with it and the bill goes higher and higher. I will never bring my truck here again!
I wish I could give them 0 star. They are very incompetent. Take too long to fix anything. They work as turtles. Their prices are super expensive. They don't work on a timely matter.
