Haven't got service here but I just called to get some part numbers and was told it is against their company policy to give out part numbers and that all I can be provided with is pricing. It's shameful that a truck repair shop would be anti-trucker. Instead of actually helping you out with the information you asked for they would rather you come there so you can be overcharged.
"DON'T USE THIS FREIGHTLINER" Came to the shop because my truck was losing power going up and jerking. I came in Friday morning and was informed that they were going to look at the truck around 4PM. I waited until 7Pm. to check the office and was informed that they would not be able to check the truck untie Monday morning. On Monday, the truck got pulled in, and they gave an estimate for everything that was "going on" with the truck. The front desk said that they would start working on the truck tomorrow morning( Tuesday). They didn't start working on the truck until Thursday morning. Picked up the truck on Thursday( 6 days after). I spent 3500 on truck repairs, 600 on hotels, and lost multiple loads. 300 miles down the road, the truck is doing the same thing I brought it in for. WORST PLACE EVER.
I called in due to several diagnostic codes on my truck. I explained the issue and was worried as it could be a major safety issue. Guy said that they could get it diagnosed as I was there before 3 pm. Was there by 1 pm. Dropped my trailer and waited. 3:30 comes around and I checked in and was told that they couldn't look at the truck until the next day. Lost a load and money. Wouldn't have minded so much if they could have just informed me of the delay. I don't understand why a dealership doesn't have techs to diagnose issues during their business hours instead of only during the day. Do all trucks just break down between 7-3? Hopefully they can get me back on the raod tomorrow.
Waited over 2 hours for a job that was only going to take 15 minutes and a computer. Was told the wait would only be an hour. I think I'd still be waiting had I stayed there. I recommend you go up the road if it's something simple to state line repair shop. It's about 7 mi away. They had me in and out.
First i have to say guys you are the best great experience at this location. On 8/31/23 I arrived with an issue with my DEF pump this guys when above and beyond the experience and the professionals at this location made made me feel welcome and the respect, this guys earned a AAA+++ in my book. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
To Small and they need to work better. The Place is really tiny place and the service they need to be more friendly, work in the detail, and more specific in their job like to make sure in writing ✍ what has to be done and if they want to get better they need to expand and they need to take surveys in how are they doing to change the bad habits. Get the job done ✔ in the right way not just go there for another working day. Be more serious guys, courtesy, more friendly staff and your driver Lounge is a joke. If you want to be in the business make a big driver lounge with restroom, showers, laundry guess, cafeteria, microwave, TV, direct TV and nice sofas, make us feel special like a real customers we paying your salaries. And we don't make excuses for work or to pay you guys. So be real please ?
I have had nothing but great experiences with Freightliner of Winchester. Always prompt, always communicative, and always on time. They are above & beyond compared with my truck service experiences elsewhere over the last 20 years. (I am a fleet owner). They are an hour away from my shop & somehow they get things done, fixed, and ready to roll 10X faster than the dealer down the street from me. Highly recommend, and you will not find better communication & level of service.
Srvc advisor lied to me for 2 days. Ordered part to "fix" my trk. But wasn't what I brought in for. Said another 2 days. I left and went to another, honest, shop. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE !
If you need the truth about time to get service don't go there, on August 1, 2023 I was 270 miles away I called the service department asked the guy if there's any chance for me to get my transmission diagnosed the next day he said yes, I arrived at the shop on August 1, 2023 at 7:30 pm shop close at 11:00 pm, asked again would I be able to get in tonight he say no. But he promised me my truck will be in the shop sometime early morning on August 2, 2023. On August 2, 2023 after I been seeting all morning, at 12:00 pm walk inside asked the front desk guy what happened why I never get a call from the service department. That's when I found out my truck was the fith in line and he said he don't know why I was told I will get in an the morning, and that's when he told me he not to sure if I will get in today or tomorrow on August 3, 2023. I was very upset that I was lied to by the service department.
Was stuck in a hotel for 6 days and being told my truck would be ready the next day repeatedly only to finally go to the shop and find my truck sitting parked on the side of the building not being worked on. And two of the mechanics in the parking lot working on a personal vehicle?!!
I love how professional Kelly is a Cole Hagerstown they couldn’t help me out with my parts, so I end up going to Frightliner in Manchester and the part guy Kelly helped me out really good,… thank you Kelly so much for your. Really had help me with my day. I wish there were more Kelly’s in Frightliner ‘s
8 hour wait to check my Def system. 1 tech looking at all issues that come in. 1 person handling all service issues. Management has to handle much much better. Ridiculous to wait SO long to run a diagnostic on a Def system. Completely ridiculous! Blew my whole day. Lost the load I was carrying. I even called when they opened at 7 am. Service guy said we can take you in 35 mins to hour. 8 hours later, still waiting. Where’s the Ops manager - nope! Nobody around. Good luck coming to location. Pack a lunch. Make alternate plans. Clear your whole schedule. Cause you will be here for long long time - good luck Sirs - I would welcome the time to discuss the behavior of your employees, the wait time, and how the business is operated over all. From the time I was there, I talked to every person that came in. We all had one thing in common. Dis-satisfaction of the customer service, and of the whole business Thank you for the reply back
A huge Thank you to the mechanics, service manager Kyle Kerns, and the rest of the staff at Freightliner of Winchester VA. I am a O/O whom happens to be very picky with our Truck, so for us finding a shop that is professional, clean, and with great quality of service is important to us and hard to come by. This shop truly impressed me, I brought our truck in for a rear axle seal, and received all of the above. They take pride in their work, very professional, clean, awesome service, they took great care of our truck. I would highly recommend this shop, once again Thank You very much!!!
So sad to see false reviews about a great place of business! I’m a REAL customer, not a “friend of Dusty’s”. We came in today with our motor home and Dusty and “Sunshine” immediately checked our problem. We were given sound options, problem was corrected and we were on our way. I can’t say enough good things about their customer service and courteous professionalism. I highly recommend them!
Dusty was awesome!!! Very honest as well. Brought my rig here for a second opinion on my transmission concern. Last shop said i had to replace the whole transmission and quoted me an insane price. Turns out it only needed an update. Thousands of dollars turned into only a couple hundred. Drove to Ontario california back down to Fort Myers Florida and back to Philly and my “internal failure” from the other shop mysteriously disappeared. Thanks for all your help Dusty. Everyone i met there at your shop is truly the definition of customer service and should be the standard for all Freightliner service stops.
