In 1989, Jerry and Jim Clay purchased a small standard-size tow truck and started helping people recover their vehicles when problems would occur. They would take turns answering calls from stranded motorists until they could finally afford a second tow truck. Later they purchased a truck repair shop located in the 200 block of South Commercial Street near downtown Fort Worth. The Clay family continues to serve its customers out of the same location today.
Over the years, this family-owned business has dedicated time and energy to growing the largest most comprehensive towing and recovery service in North Texas. The company continues to operate on the principle of, “you have to know your business in order to grow your business”. As far as growing the business, we have a saying here in Texas, “the proof is in the puddin’”. The worst service ever I’ve used a lot of different Tow Truck companies in the last 20 years in DFW and these guys are the worst ever!!! Do your self a favor don’t use them it will cost and arm and leg $$$$$$ they run a scam operation not a business.
Trashy service I mean trash…. If I can give a -100 stars I would. Couldn’t even take the time of day to print out some paperwork to release a vehicle. That’s sad. Every time we called in they would hang up in our face. Texas Towing is a disappointment in the towing industry. The most disrespectful I mean disrespectful staff I have ever seen in my life. Shame on you Texas Towing shame on you….Truly at a loss of words. I’m sitting here talking to the lady at the front desk and as I am speaking to her she closes the window and the blinds in my face. Texas Towing shame on you. Dehumanizing like crazy. Truly made me feel like garbage. I will be going to TDLR and complaining. Hate to see a good company go downhill like that!!
A shout out/recognize my driver who showed up rather quickly (20 min or less), took great care of my car while winching it up while the brakes were locked, and was kind enough to give me a quick ride home so I didn’t have to Uber. Great customer service!
We were stuck on the side of the road because the trailer we were hauling had a faulty tongue on it . Tony the wrecker driver was very helpful and concerned about us . We transport trailers to supplement our income , he was more concerned than the owner of the trailer . I would highly recommend Tony and Texas Towing they both go out of the way to help you. We appreciate it very much . Thank you .
I have used texas a number of times at work and for my personal use. They are very professional and always have the right equipment to do the job safety not some fly by night company that does repo's you get what you pay for.
