About Us

Starting with one location in 1958 to becoming the largest travel center network in North America, we’ve never lost sight of what’s important – taking care of our guests! At Pilot Flying J, we believe it's essential to give back to our communities that have given so much to us. We are committed to supporting local, regional and industry non-profit and charitable organizations. From the beginning, our founder instilled a spirit of community and philanthropy into our company. It is our privilege to give back by supporting causes that are important to our business and communities we serve. We encourage our team members to be active in their communities, whether that is volunteering or being there to serve first responders after a natural disaster.

This is more relational to a corporate issue. I do not agree with making employees usher customers to use self-checkout. It skews results to show that customers like using them, and most customers won’t protest when they don’t want to use self-checkout to avoid making a scene. I personally don’t visit a CONVENIENCE store to check myself out. It isn’t right to replace people with machines that make the customer do the work instead of properly staffing stores. I told the lady who ushered us that I wasn’t using it, so she offered to do it (at the self checkout). She was very nice and helpful with confirming if they had something in stock. Self checkout is fine as an option, but a company should never make it the default.

I posted this on their app and got no response so I am posting it here to let you know. Caveat emptor! I just stopped in to the Flying J #622 in Ft Pierce. Looking at the sign on the fresh food it was marked as 2 sides for $4.50. Relying on this sign I ordered a side of Mac and Cheese and a side of Mashed potatoes and Gravy. When the clerk (name tag said Stephen) rang up the order he put it in as 2 for $4.50, but rang it twice so that the order came to over $9.00 with tax. I informed him of the error and rather than fixing it he told me the deal only comes in a Styrofoam box. I told him I wasn't going to pay almost $10 for two sides that should be half the price. I pointed to the screen that showed what it should be 2/$4.50. He refused to fix it so I told him to keep it and left. I have been very disappointed with the sharp increase in prices at this store. It seems almost impossible to buy something as small as a candy bar for less than $2.00. I try to be a good steward of the Lord's blessings, and I'm not trying to be obnoxious. If this is the price, then I only ask that it is advertised as such. In the meantime I feel that Pilot/Flying J should honor the price on their advertising. Instead, I walked away still hungry.

Outstanding management team for this location OUTSTANDING. The manager does not play !!! when a disabled veteran truck driver needed to park. Thank you management of the FLYING J... #622 for standing up for our veteran truck drivers. A truck driver decided to drop his or her trailer in a Handicap space and this is the results of not getting the proper permission to drop a trailer Especially in a Handicap space you will get towed. Thank you for standing up for our veteran truck drivers and the act you have shown today will stand out above the rest. Thank you Hunter, Mark & Travis

The store was nice, showers clean. Mark and Adrienne we very h mogul and the manager needs a lesson on customers courtesy. He is an arrogant boy, that needs to understand without truck drivers he wouldn’t have a job. I was never so disrespected by an employee that clearly has no knowledge of being a good manager or whatever it takes to wear a blue button up shirt to work at those places. H is arrogant, cocky, lazy… while he was doing a soul nothing he refused to walk to the fuel desk to help me cause he was oh so busy not helping anyone. Just another person collecting a check and while his co workers were also parking their butts off…he told me that the reserved spot landers for employees as I reserved a spot and when I got here they were filled with cars, dropped trailers, and rv that I am pretty sure they are living here. I was told this was nice but I would rather have not so nice then be treated like I was by an employee… what a joke… should have just went next door to Love’s!!! Oh and it took an hour to get in a shower when I was the first in line and no one waiting…

Excellent Pilot/Flying J! Laundry, Lounge, Gambling Game Room, even a BARBER! Service was fast and friendly. BIG parking lot with different size spaces to accommodate most travel vehicles. Will be coming back to this one for sure.

If you plan on staying here I would suggest paying for a reserved spot hours in advance. This place can fill up fast. Showers were clean but very small. They have 3 washers and 6 dryers. Washers take 30 min and dryers take 60 min. They have a lounge and a game room. There is a subway and a Dennys. They also have the hot box and pizza by the register. They have beer ? There is a barber shop here, but they are closed today. Below is a picture of their hours. I saw other reviews saying how sketchy this place was. I did not get that vibe during my stay. I feel comfortable and safe here. I have not seen any homeless people or panhandlers. The store is over all clean, but outside I have seen several lizards. Not lot lizards. Actual lizards on the side walk and a few rats when I walked my dog at night time. I would come here again.

Is under renovation work. Restroom, playroom and Showers closed. Gave 5 stars, only because it has barbershop, Denys dinner, great staff. And in the future will be renovated. Thats more than welcomed.

Lady that works the register in the morning and into the day by the name of Mary Ann is absolutely awesome and caring lady! Too bad they can't all be like her, definitely has been the highlight of this trip! The Dennys restaurant is totally off the chain good at breakfast time. Our waitress Roshell was awesome to boot and took good care of us. One old man got mad and walked out because service wasn't fast enough for him, they were swamped with a line of folk to get in, I sure hate it for that old timer, he missed a hell of a good breakfast! This will be my stopping point on our way to Miami forever! Store #622 is just an awesome place, wish all truckstops had the service of this one!

I have no idea who runs this joint at night but they need to be fired.. the staff is rude minus the Denny's, the Subway attendant was lazy and refused to pull out the Marinara to make sandwhich... Meanwhile no one has checked the reserved parking to see what's available so nothing is "available" and if you're trying to get a shower good luck 15 guest waiting and no one is cleaning them..

Nearest truck stop I dislike it because the parking lot is very uncomfortable the entrance to the parking lot of the trucks and all the way outside where you can't even see it because of a couple of tree branches so advise don't go in the first entrance the cars are. There is one thing that i like las it that their is a Barber shop inside. Also you can find a Subway and a Denny's. So remember for the truck entrance.

Would give them negative stars if possible!! While in line I happen to witness the staff being very rude to customers in line in front of me. Rushing them to self checking out I was offended by the way an employee named Jenny spoke to me a cut me off while talking to her she stormed off a told another associate to help me. I set my things down a left. Don’t waste your time here go to Wawa across the street if you can!

Nice and clean truck stop. Staff was polite. Only negative side is the space between the 2nd and 3rd is a bit narrow.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. I love how the manager always jumps in to support his people and create the best possible customer experience. The freshly-ground-to-order coffee is delicious!

Flying J's used to be pretty great... Now they've all got the self checkout... Because after working all day long driving equipment around... What I'm looking forward to... Is checking myself out. And then begging the one random employee walking around for cigarettes.. and then watching him authorize the sale of the cigarettes.. You could just have cashiers... You know the way stores are supposed to be. I try to avoid flying J's now... They're far from convenient.

I live nearby so I've been going there for decades, the property is older but they keep updating. My biggest complaint is how slow the gas pumps are, even when your the only vehicle pumping. At least the fuel prices are cheap.

Reservations a must for parking. Use Prime Parking. Pump areas not to clean. Key pads blackened and sticky by greasey dirty gloves. Showers very clean, store clean and in good condition. Restrooms kind of clean, just showing signs of wear. Truck Parking lot could use repaint of yellow lines for parking and marking of reserved parking. A lot of local drivers, and companies use truck parking as their base of business. Lots of dropped trailers and cars parked in truck area. Sad but true, saw several trucks being worked on in lot, hoods open parts everywhere. I don't think Pilot/Flying J allows this, but management looks other way.

This place used to be nice. It's run down and needs serious renovations. Not that clean. Laundry facilities really need to be upgraded.
