OMG! This place was awesome! Where to start? If u like Buffalo, then this is your place! ( NOT TO EAT) although they do have bison burgers on the menu! The store inside is amazing! They have lots of stuff for you & souvenirs for your loved ones. The food was good, & they give u lots of it! The waitress was good & she was very attentive to our needs.

Bison bacon cheeseburger was absolutely phenomenal. Also, their chicken salad I smashed it that's how good it was. Will definitely be stopping there again. Yes, they were busy, but well worth it.

Big Chief benedict...the coffe was good. No real cream, only the pkg stuff. The meal was not something i would order again. Did not taste chorizo, only immitation cheese sauce. No real cheese. Bacon was pork shoulder but i am a bit biased as it comes to bacon, so i did not eat it. It kind of looked like jerky. It was not hard, just not the bacon i like from a butcher or most restaurants. The eggs under sauce were cooked perfect. The hashbrowns were tender and crispy, which was enjoyable. The toast was wheat with oil based butter. They do have alot of pastries in restaurant and in store. I will not be back, but try for yourself. Parking: Truck stop with plenty of parking!

I had some delicious Swedish meatballs and gravy and mashed potatoes. Yes even the mixed vegetables served very warm tasted good. This place is everything you would expect at a truck stop. They have a case of homemade pies to look at when you walk in. We seated ourselves. The dining room was chilly. The decor needs a lot of update it's very run down. The service however was so great. Very attentive and fast. The food served hot and delicious. I was very glad I went here had a great meal. I hope to go again some time.

A hidden gem just outside of Fergus Falls. I’m a longtime fan of the Big Chief Cafe, especially their Eggs Benedict and Bison Chili Omlet. The new Big Chief Benedict took a great breakfast dish and made it even better. The chorizo queso was a phenomenal addition to a classic dish. This was the best cafe breakfast I’ve ever had. Stop on in, grab a cup of coffee, and see for yourself.

Ok yall. This was my first time at the Big Chief and oh my goodness. My husband and I both ordered the double bacon cheeseburger with waffle fries. The burger was soo juicy! The amount of cheese was abundant and the flavor was on point! The waffle fries were cooked to perfection! So much so that no dipping sauce was needed. This in itself was a lot of food but we didn't stop there (though we could have and been plenty full). My husband ordered the strawberry rhubarb pie warmed up with vanilla ice cream and I ordered the banana cream pie. The strawberry rhubarb pie with the ice-cream was like a little slice of heaven. The strawberry flavor was strong but softened by the vanilla. The banana cream pie was dense and the whipped topping wasn't oily (which is nice). The big slices of banana inside the pie made it absolutely wonderful. I absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for reasonably priced delicious food!

Plain and simple food for affordable prices. Nothing fancy here with mediocre service. “Not bad, not great” would describe this place overall. Truck parking is great. Big gravel lot that usually stays quiet all night.

An autistic mother and daughter walk into Big Chief tonight with their professionally trained service dog, to celebrate the end of some very long, desperate struggles. The first time my adult daughter has been willing to walk into a sit down restaurants in years, much less by her own choice, and it's going to be a glorious celebration in her humble choice to celebrate at Big Chief, which really is a reach to eat anywhere, with the humble disability supporting both our homes and our three mouths to feed. But it's the sit down restaurant she choose after years of battles, and the tedious training of this animal to help her be able to walk in that door, much less want to. It's our night! It's gonna be amazing!!!! Just not at Big Chief. As we were quite clearly informed, the boss instructs the low paid, uneducated waitress that no service animal can be allowed entrance without tags and papers. It's not the waitresses fault her boss trains her to commit discrimination. She doesn't know what every owner of a service animal in the country knows. There is no agency or law in this land that has any legal authority to give any service dog registered paperwork that identifies with any legal authority to recognize the money spent to train this animal to bring this dog into what a service animal needs to be to walk in with us. Any papers provided by any owner of a service animal in this country can tell you those papers come at a cost for various registeries, but have no legal power to legitimize. The waitress is doing her job, as trained. Not her fault she is ignorant of being trained to break civil rights laws. I went back in with love in my heart to give the waitress a $20 tip from our medicine fund we can't spare a dime from. We will use less medicine, our needs will be met. And we will enjoy our celebration where people like us are welcome. My ability to restrain my hurt for my daughter is highly comprised, and the onslaught of her very loud words she couldn't seem to stem, aggravating our senses and ability to show the love that was given in, but it was given in love. No papers offer the blessing of the law, and her service vest is lost in the trail across country wherever my clothes all seemed to disappear to as well. Also not legally required. Discrimination against the disabled. The boss is accountable for knowing this and training his staff. Not her fault. And I'm just happy I regained enough ability back to even write again. Waitress, I really couldn't function through the loud voice and many words that shut off my ability to communicate the love that tip was intended. Now we are off to Celebrate.

I, this is a very nice restaurant is the only place I have ever tried bison burgers. It’s also a truckstop with a big lot, entirely paved and very clean washrooms.

I must admit I was skeptical as I’m a trucker and go all over. But this one is true it’s an old school diner, old school sizes and quality. Prices are good also for what you get the wait staff is great and nice. As for truck parking it’s a dirt lot but not many pot holes at all clean lot also (thanks). It’s really quiet unless your neighbors are idling of course. Parking: Dirt for truckers but nice

Huge lot but packed with semis, service was not good, I walked in and the two high school waitresses were too busy joking with the kitchen staff to even acknowledge me. I asked if I should Seay myself and one said yes without even looking at me. I sat at the bar and read two full articles in a news paper someone had left before I was handed a menu. I ordered a bison burger with fries and a sweat tea. $20 and change was steep in my opinion and didn't seem any different from a beef burger. Won't be stopping here again.

The reviews leading up to mine were enough to convince me to give the place a try for the odd full breakfast I have time for, it certainly did not disappoint and my service was amazing 730 am March 10/23 unstoppable coffee refills, service with a smile, and fast hot food and an atmosphere that supports driver conversion, tables spaced where 2 or 3 parties can break the Ice and have some driver chatter, it may not happen every time but it made my morning. Perfect breakfast and enjoyable conversation, your only problem with this restaurant will be what to have!!! Everything looks enjoyable. 4 stars because the menu was outdated on Google expected different pricing and the bathroom could use coat hooks on the doors. Have a great day, and keep on truckin' $11.40 biscuits and gravy & coffee all in. Parking: Bring your oversized
