Starting with one location in 1958 to becoming the largest travel center network in North America, we’ve never lost sight of what’s important – taking care of our guests! At Pilot Flying J, we believe it's essential to give back to our communities that have given so much to us. We are committed to supporting local, regional and industry non-profit and charitable organizations. From the beginning, our founder instilled a spirit of community and philanthropy into our company. It is our privilege to give back by supporting causes that are important to our business and communities we serve. We encourage our team members to be active in their communities, whether that is volunteering or being there to serve first responders after a natural disaster.

Used the RV dump/service station and it was a very pleasant experience. $10 to dump and they did have fresh water to flush the tanks and a separate hook up for potable water. Seems like they likely turn the water off in the winter to keep the lines from freezing so double check that they’re back on before paying if you need to flush your tanks. Fuel was also available in the same lane along with air. Definitely convenient for a one stop easy to access RV stop for our fifth wheel.
Tear down the store rebuild it put a decent restaurant in there cause it has no restaurant your deli person ain’t working fuel. Pumps ain’t worth a dang it’s so slow. It takes forever to fill up. The truck store is rundown.
If I could give no stars, I would. $10 to dump your rv tank. But they have no water to rinse anything. The showers ran out of hot water 2 minutes after turning it on. The dryers don't dry your clothes either. Worse service ever. Will not return. Highly unrecommended. ???
If I could give them or just the manager (Carolyn) 0 stars I would. Bought a phone holder for work and 2 days in, it broke. Took the defective unit back to the store I bought it from and the Manager, Carolyn, told me I needed a box OR receipt to replace the defective unit. After returning to my home and going thru the trash to find the box and returning to the store. The manager Carolyn then decided to read a policy to me that said the box AND a receipt would be needed to replace the defective unit. Not that the flying J was the better of the two truck stops around Kenly but I would expect better service from a truck stop that is in shambles with outdated pumps but new ev chargers. DON’T GO HERE!
Awful for RV! Yes had a dump station but didn't find out until AFTER I paid that they don't have water to flush tanks turned on since they have no signage saying no water available. Basically the place stole $10 from me as I wasn't able to full flushy RV tanks. Go elsewhere.
The inside and outside of the flying j were very clean. The staff was very friendly. Our experience was that we were traveling late at night and we stopped to rest. Felt very safe and comfortable being there. Parking lot was well lit. Very impressed with how clean the restrooms were and general cleanliness was really good. I've been in other truck/travel stops and I would say this is the cleanest. Most places have signage for pet areas this one didn't. We did the responsible thing though ??. Had some fun wondering around the stocks of corn. Highly recommend this place.
Just another restaurantless piece of garbage poorly run Flying Pilot...I strongly urge anyone to go to the Travel Centers of America on the other side of the exit where they strive and do everything to earn your business. Spend money at a place that deserves your money and business, like the T/A. The flying Pilot corporation is owned by two of the most greedy and corrupt individuals ever, and it shows in how poorly maintained their facilities actually are. Update::: so I stop by the next day..still no gas pump receipt paper....no paper towels in the paper towel dispensers. But when I go inside to get a receipt, there are 3 employees just standing by the register, goofing off and carrying on...a new more strict management is desperately needed here and at many other
The good: ample amount of parking, especially for RV's which is what I'm in on this visit. Dennys on site makes a decent food option. Of course as per usual Pilot/Flying J fuel prices are highly competitive. Quiet, peaceful place to park overnight. The bad: stopped here to do laundry, the machines were all out of service. Men's bathroom had a stall out of service. It's curious the have two major maintenance issues like this at the same time. Raises questions as to whether management is staying on top of things like they should
I just got to my truck after my shower and I was impressed with the maintenance man "B" that went above and beyond. He offered me an extra towel and washcloth. He was very respectful with "yes sir" and "no sir" Other employees should take notice of this gentleman and his work ethics. I hope he's on duty my next visit ??
I really like the Flying J experience. Good gas prices. Clean men's room. Great selection of road snacks and drinks. Easy off and on I-95.
This place is pitiful. Stopped to get fuel, food and coffee at 7pm on a Thursday. The fuel pump was slow as molasses. They had no food in deli case. And they had no fresh coffee in all five dispensers. They should be ashamed to call this place a truck stop! Negative stars.
Better not come through here expecting anything at night. I wouldn’t even bother with this place anymore except my company likes to put it on the fuel route. Understaffed at night so can’t cash a cash advance after fueling. There is no restaurant and the hot bar is just basic. But at night there’s not even a hot bar so don’t come through here hungry
Absolutely terrible customer service. We sat in the waiting area for 2 hours and not 1 shower was cleaned. There was about 15 other drivers waiting as well. They told us they only had 1 extra person and he was picking up trash instead of taking care of what was needed.... the showers
If you are an RV Traveler and looking for a good place to rest up and regroup while out on the road the Flying J is your place. You can dump your tanks for a small fee and refill your freshwater for free. It was safe and we had no problems. Thank you Flying J for your travel center I'm sure we will use your company again....
No food, trash cans at the pump overflowing, crazy dude in the parking lot spouting rubbish, avoid this location!!
So happy they got new fuel pumps and everything is much easier now. Employees are nice and very helpful. Can you give back the the greet and Smile and thank you weight belt that looks like the belt WWE championship belt.
