The Kenly 95 Truckstop was founded just outside of Kenly, North Carolina along Interstate 95. Land was purchased in 1973 with intentions of starting to build the next year. As a result of the oil embargo of 1973-1974, funds were tight and construction was delayed until 1979. Once construction was began, it moved quickly. The doors were opened to the public on May 5, 1980 as Truckland Truckstop. The truckstop included a small store, sit down restaurant, and diesel fuel islands. Two years later, in 1982, the company became a franchisee of Truckstops of America. Now operating under the name Truckstops of America, the truckstop had the opportunity to associate with a nationally recognized name.

Definitely a great stop!! If you are in a hurry this could change your mind as this place is huge and has a little bit of everything!! They have a massive section of clothing and items for veterans , tons of knives and t-shirts of all kinds. If you are a truck driver or know one, you could definitely do your Christmas shopping here. I meant to take more pictures but got distracted. If you ever go by it's well worth the stop!
Argh you ready for this review? A great clean truck stop that is so much more than that! Lots of gifts, sunglasses, and treats to choose from. They have anything you could probably need for a family road trip or all your truck driving needs, such as a hair cut and a shower or maybe even a new bed and purple pillow! While there get your picture with Elvis and Jack Sparrow!
Even if you don’t need gas, this is worth making a stop at. Massive station with food options, restrooms, drinks, and most importantly - an entertaining stop to break the monotony of long drives!! See the pix and you’ll understand why! ??
As a truck driver, this place is wonderful. Huge parking lot. Huge store with so many cool items. Lots of food options. Definitely saved this place to my favorites.
This was an awesome pit stop. A great variety of merchandise for every taste. The perfect way to wake up in the middle of a road trip...
I should not even post this..... Exit 106 in NC off of I-95 You will not regret it. Have you been to Bucees? Bucees is always insanely busy. It is an awesome place and I make it a point to go for specific things. But it is insane how busy it gets!! The best way to describe Kenly 95 is a similiar version of Bucees, but without the people. Kenley 95 does not have Kenley brand food. But they have a food court. Subway, Wendys, Pizza hut, DQ, and Caribou coffee. Maybe something else? I think Iron grill. The bathrooms are great! No wait time (a big deal for the ladies!!) For the store... think of a gas station, a store with truck stuff, biker gear, and shopping. Lots of amazing shopping that is military inclusive. Gas station- standard snacks and such. Truck stuff- I am not a trucker, but a huge part of the store is for truckers. Truck parts, extras, etc. I loved the big truck picture on the back wall! Biker gear- I am not a biker, but lots of leather and biker gear!! I was impressed!! The biker boots were awesome! Also had purses and well a whole aisle. There is a biker display as well that was really neat. Wish I had a picture. Shopping- shirts, toys, hats, glass figurines, yard ornaments, knives, tasers, yard flags (i think), yard ornaments, and I am forgetting alot. Military stuff includes tee shirts, military awards (a huge display of every award for every service. Can you buy them? I did not ask), a display, other stuff I cannot recall. I bought a few things. Two things Id like to highlight. I bought several small phamplets that were booklets about a specific year. So for example 1960 and the booklet had facts about that year. The other thing that really caught my eye was metal work displays. The two I bought were a helicopter and a knight looking guy. There was a scorpion, but I did not buy it. The displays are made of metal (think bike chains, washers, plugs, etc). Really shouldnt post this as Id hate for it to become an insane tourist attraction like Bucees, as it is amazing. But I love this place and it has never been busy, so I think it is just not yet known. Id hate for it to go out of business because no one knows of it. I discovered it by accident. No regrets!!!
Love this place. Always stop here to shop for the military medals and ribbons for my woodworking.
Great Petro!! Showers are phenomenal, very clean and newly remodeled looks like and the shower workers were very helpful with extra towels.. Iron Skillet restaurant is really good. Had a great waitress. Good trucker lounge. Will definitely stop here when coming through!!
Probably the nicest and cleanest truck stop in the country! Food court, barber, showers, plenty of parking, workout center, shopping, and more. Pretty much anything you would need or want at a truck stop. Even have a lounge and another room with tables. Next time I stay here probably gonna sit in there and play on my laptop. They have literally been cleaning the bathrooms every time I’ve been in there. Impressive place.
Fun place to stop. Nice store and clean restrooms.
Great place to stop. Large Chrome Shop with a wide selection. Parking is easy; you can park absolutely anywhere you want. You can park in the reserved spots for free with out being bothered. They will not honor reservations so do not pay for a spot at this location. This one of my favorite stops on the east coast.
The Iron Skillet was nice sit down restaurant that gives a good breather. Food was ok and service was efficient. Great shopping area with HUGE trucks on display. Nice muscle antiques to see as well. Just bring your $$ cause it ain't cheap. ?
Off of Truck Stop Rd & I95. Like a smaller Iowa 80, but has probably every accessory available for you truck! Pretty cool but definitely a tourist trap. Be prepared to spend a lot of $.
I am a driver spent a few days waiting for a reload , had everything you could need, staff was polite and helpful.
Always a great place to park if you have the chance. Plenty of things for drivers to get. Iron skillet was very good haven't had a bad meal yet there. Keep up the great work everyone
Have been stopping here since they opened on my trips from Virginia to South Carolina. It is well lit at night. Safe and very clean. It has an abundance of items to shop from if you need that last-minute gift. There is a nice amount of gas pumps and some fast food options on the inside, as well as candies, chips, sodas, etcetera.
