Super thankful for the helpful staff that was running the showers and truck stop area today! He went above and beyond helping my elderly father and myself get a new windshield wiper on my GMC Acadia while it was down pouring! After having my other shred while driving we stopped here on a prayer choosing Loves over the BP just because and so happy we did! I didn’t get your name but after leaving the Neurologist in Madison the monsoon of rain kept coming and I hate to say it but as a lady in my thirties I couldn’t figure out how to get my wiper off to save my self, and all the mess of figuring out which one was actually the right blade with no internet service was seriously a blessing that you so selflessly helped us for the time we were there! Thank you and Thank Loves for employing people that are like YOU!
I parked here for the first time, and I was impressed. The parking lot is good for semis. Staff is super friendly. However, like most Love's, you have to be careful parking cause people get some creative with their made-up parking spots..
The RV dump is in the auto section on the outside of the parking lot, on the north (road) side. It's locked with a combo lock. Pay $10 and you'll get the combination. Note the dump connection point is really high up, with a high curb around it as as well, making it hard to get a good dump. We had to repeatedly walk down the contents of the hose at the end. Spigot to rinse, but no water hose so it's hard to rinse your dump hose. No fresh water fill, water at dump not labeled, but we presumed it was non-potable. The location is adequate, but if you're a big rig, or towing, and it's busy, prepare to wait for vehicles to move so you can go around the last row of pumps to get back out. We have a Love's professional drivers card, which I tried to use when paying. That was a fiasco. My app loaded and I could see I was logged in, but my regards card refused to load. The store Wi-Fi wouldn't let me log in without turning off my VPN anonymizing protection (which I didn't agree to). The clerk said the reception in the store was bad for cell signal despite me showing 4 bars of Verizon LTE so I stepped outside, which didn't work either. Long story short, I had to go get my physical rewards card only to find out two things - 1. They deactivate cards after 6 months of no use and cannot reactivate them. 2. After all this the guy tells me there is no discount with the card. The clerk was a bit surly when I politely said that, while I understood these weren't his personal choices, those were poor choices by the company and that their competitor Pilot both had a discount and doesn't deactivate my card after six months. He suggested I was free to go to Pilot instead. Pilot/Flying Js offer a dump discount (usually about $4) with their card, which doesn't expire in six months. I won't be back to Love's for RV services, I suggest you go on down the road as well..
The guy manager came out to fill my propane bus . He started it and pretended it was done pumping bc he didn’t want to wait any longer bc their pump slow .. smh .. lo
Great Love's. Was here 8/1/2020. Medium size big rig parking lot, very easy to parking. Fast Food: Hardee's (bought Mushroom/Swiss Burger). Has 7 showers, Cat Scales, and Truck Shop: tires, oil change, and light mechanical issues.
Paul was exceptionally friendly, provided fast service while checking us out. Talked briefly, and was just polite and helpful in general. Will stop by again if I'm ever in route. ?
People were GREAT! Welcoming. I’m glad the actual shower was cleaned but the rest.... hair on toilet and floors. Even fingernail clippings. You have to clean the toilets!!! I should have done a video. The walls were filthy and hair in sporadic places like they used the towels they cleaned the shower with on the walls. I used to be night shift manager at a truck stop. I even cleaned showers! I guess as a driver I cleaned good cuz I know it’s the place drivers go to relax.
The manager of store very uncomfortable person, aggressive with drivers, doesn’t help to have comfortable service… hope i never see anymore persons same this at loves
Great, friendly service with a good selection of most things you need for the road. Clean facilities and fast pumps.
This Love's Travel Stop is a good place to go to. Friendly Staff and quick service.
I had to do a 34 hour rest here.I used the shower the toilet looked like had not been cleaned in weeks. The bathroom was in the same shape. The toilet was not cleaned either. This falls back on management for not checking out what workers do.That is a lazy im collecting a check attitude.I cannot believe corporate has not done anything.
Decent place if you’re shutting down for the day. But do not, I repeat DO NOT stop here for a tire change… It has been 3 hours and counting to get ONE trailer tire changed. My drive clock has run out, the parking spaces are now full, and there is NO SIGN of any mechanics working in the shop. Update.. ONE rear trailer tire change = 4 hours 36 minutes.
Stopped here for gas and a bathroom break. Can’t complain, bathrooms were spic and span. ‘Everything you’d need and more’ - quoted from a male shopper buying a TShirt. Well worth the stop.
On 10/6/2023 I had occasion to visit the shop for LOVES in Poinette Wisconsin. I was the first customer in for the morning as there was nobody in line Amy Pierce, who was the service writer occasion. Got me right into the shop as quickly as possible to take care of my issue with a trailer dump valve and an air leak during the course of that I was introduced to Corey Morgan, Shop manager, and Amy suggested because of the time of the year that I had the batteries tested in my truck, I agreed with her that would be a good idea when they did the battery test on my truck after they secured a fix for the leak with the trailer and the problem with the trailer they discovered that two of the batteries were no good at all. One of them was at 50% and one of them was minimal, I decided to replace all four of them since I run mostly central and northwestern states in the winter time and did not want to have a problem with the cold weather. The work was performed by Jacob Cummins, who is excellent at his job as well as the other two people and I highly recommend this shop this garage and these employees to anybody who needs to get work done if I am never in that area again which I am frequently, I need work taken care of. I guarantee you it will be at that shop not only was everybody courteous, respectful knowledgeable, but the repair was affected at a very reasonable price and Cory Morgan took it one step further to confirm it, and actually tested the batteries out of the truck after I had departed from the shop and called me back and told me that the batteries tested the same way out of the truck as they did in the truck, which was actually a confirmation for anybody who is having their batteries checked there that the equipment is not only legitimate, but it is accurate. I cannot highly recommend this shop, if I could give them 20 stars, I would thank you, Ken Cusack, Thunder Rolls Transport
I highly recommend this shop to all drivers. I came in to change one of my trailer break. Micheal and his associate inspected all the break and recommended no need to change as all the breaks are in good shape. I appreciate their professionalism and honesty. Last thing we want as an owner operator is unnecessary repairs.
My husband and I had a mechanical issue towing our camper and we had to stop at this Loves. We ended up having a minor engine fire and we were stuck there. Manager Jonathan was quick to make sure we were ok and assist us with anything we needed! We had to have our truck towed, but had to leave our camper there overnight. Jonathan let us keep it there until we could pick it up the next day. When we picked it up, the good folks behind the counter knew we would be returning and just like Jonathan, they were so friendly and helpful. We are so grateful for everyone at Loves for making us feel good during our "bump in the road"! THANK YOU!!!!
