Dealing with Reefer Engine Noise in a Reserved Parking Lot

Dealing with Reefer Engine Noise in a Reserved Parking Lot

I parked my trailer in a reserved spot and I’m having trouble sleeping because of the reefer engine noise. I’m considering purchasing a spot in the reserved parking lot and moving my truck to an unpaid spot for the night. Is this an acceptable solution or should I talk to the driver about the noise?

Maybe try earplugs first?

If it were me, I’d probably just have a chat with the driver. Most folks are pretty understanding if you ask nicely.

+ If you don’t want to listen to the reefer engine running, you should invest in some earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones.

I think it’s totally unacceptable to park in a reserved spot if you haven’t paid for it. It’s not fair to the other drivers who have paid for their spots

I’ve been driving for years and I’ve never had a problem with reefer engine noise. Maybe you just need to get used to it.

I agree that it’s inconsiderate to run your reefer engine all night, but that doesn’t mean you can park in a reserved spot without paying. You should try finding a different solution.

If you’re gonna haul reefer you better get used to it
