Tanker driver

How much realistically can a tanker hauler earn as a day driver as a company driver and as an owner op?

As an owner-operator, that’s where the big bucks are.

As a company driver, you’re looking at a decent paycheck, but it’s the owner-ops who really make money.

I haul fuel in the Northeast and I make around $80k a year as a company driver. I work 5 days a week, 10-12 hours a day. Owner ops can make over $100k but they have to pay for their own truck, insurance, maintenance, etc.

It depends on the company, the region, the type of tanker and the load.

Depends where you live.

Probably depends on the liquid, and the deal the chemical maker and carrier makes.
