I’ve been driving trucks for over 20 years, and I’ve seen some crazy stuff on the road. But nothing prepared me for what happened last year. A drunk driver hit me and died. His family was suing me and my employer. They claimed that I was negligent and that I caused the accident. They said that I was driving too fast, and that I violated the Hours of Service regulations. I know that many of us think that this will not happen to me, but don't be fooled, you should always be prepared for such things.
I want to share with you an article that I found here, it may help shed some light on your rights.
