Hey folks, check out this video of a crazy crash that happened in Rosedale, Maryland on Tuesday night https://newjobs4you.com/news/video-two-semi-trucks-collide-with-train-in-rosedale,-maryland/.
This is not the first time a train has hit a truck at this crossing. Back in 2013, there was a huge explosion when a train carrying chemicals derailed after hitting a garbage truck. That blast was felt for miles and damaged nearby buildings and cars. I remember seeing it on the news and thinking how lucky I was not to be there.
I don’t know what’s wrong with these drivers who don’t stop at the stop signs or look both ways before crossing the tracks. Maybe they’re in a hurry or distracted or just plain stupid. But they’re putting their lives and others at risk by ignoring the rules of the road. Trains can’t stop on a dime, and they have the right of way. You don’t want to mess with them.
What do you think? Have you ever had a close call with a train on the road? How do you stay safe around railroad crossings?
