I worked here about six years ago and went through a lot of what all the bad reviews are saying and stating, but just thought it was me and that I only noticed all of the flaws recently seen an ad on, indeed that they were hiring team drivers and was hoping that they worked all of it out, but doesn’t seem like they did I really want to give them a second try but I don’t want to go through all the headache. I know certain companies have a way of doing things especially when hauling for Toyota and auto parts in general but just want a good paying job with home time and without any headaches, am I considering it again, Yes. but I really will think about it before I apply knowing what I’m getting myself into …..?????

Stop letting all these bad reviews dictate an experience you've never had. Come and see for yourself and enjoy the ride!!! I have worked with this company for 7 years, and the only thing that I can say is if you want to win then join them, but if you want to lose then you can go somewhere else! If you're looking to be home every weekend, every day or would like to extend your time over the road for 14 days or more, AJG offers opportunities such as Reefer, Dry Van, and are currently parterning with USPS mail throughout the entire United States via dedicated teams. Safety is held to a high standard and the dispatching team provides consistent reminders and check calls to ensure you are well taken care of throughout your work week. They're prompt in repsonding to your messages and your needs. They pay is great and if you would like additional mileage they would work with you to ensure your personal weekly schedule lines up with the opportunities they have for making more money. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to be here and to grow wit this company that is constantly expanding and taking over all of San Antonio.

This company will lie to you big time to get you to slave for them. I left a company thinking this was everything they said only to find out it was all game. The most weird set up ever. They will hire you from a car, no Orientation and micro manage you every single day. Guys are dropping like flies over there, so they have become desperate to fill those seats.

My experience and my experience only. CONS: Don't fall for the pay twice a week, easy for them to rob you blind IF YOU DONT KEEP UP WITH YOUR MILES if you do keep up you will find that they are taking away miles and they will not pay because a program that they use said so . They will make you take pictures of everything in every angle , they will give you a trailer they no its damage so you can do the repair trip. Every time you fuel you have to take a picture of the speedometer and send it if not they will not open the card, and they also want a pic after you finish of the speedometer. You dont get to pick fuel location, they will make you stop to fuel at the location they whant. Appointment at 2pm your at a loves, they will call loves around 10am to make sure you will make it to the 2pm appointment and your like 1 hour from thr dropoff, that is bullcrap, im no kid. Not paying for layover, or for multiple stops. You only talk to an email regarding anthing you will like to know about pay. Dispatch is power hungry like to keep there foot in your neck. You will actually be working with 5 other truck companies, redflag. PROS: NEW TRUCK Again it was my experience and from my experience I will not recommend working for the above company.

I've worked for a couple of logistics and transport companies before, both on the brokerage side of things and carriers. None have placed so much thought on developing and making sure that their team is on the fore front of knowledge and customer centricity is paramount. Thankful for the opportunity for being able to grow and work with AJG.

I have been working with AJG Transport and the Gomez brothers for over a year now. The AJG team has been on the cutting edge of technology for their vehicles, and they see the value in having the most data about their fleet. They constantly are learning more about their fleet operations, and they invest into making their fleet more efficient and safe. At the end of the day, their investment into fleet safety and efficiency provides a better experience for their customers. The AJG team is always responsive and quick to helping their customers, and that starts with their solid team internal. It's been a pleasure working with the AJG team over the past year, and I look forward to many more years of partnership.

AJG Transport / Gomez Haulers is a seriously different type of trucking company. We drive when we are available and our admin asks that we communicate that with them. They have never asked me to change my availability to fit a route, they make the route fit my schedule. We are paid weekly and most weeks I receive my paycheck Friday morning right before being home for the week. As you can see from the photos the trucks are very well maintained and cleaned out weekly by a detail guy. There is no face to face communication with anyone, all communication is done through phone calls, text messages, text memos, and emails. We have a paycheck portal and our company allows us to opt in for per diem pay breakdown when running OTR. I have had my license for just over a year. I began working with this company after having my CDL for a very short time with a food distribution company. They have allowed me to leave to check out two other trucking companies when I thought the grass was greener on another side. When I saw the light and wanted to come back I was driving again within days of communicating with Admin. Whether need a flexible driving job or a very consistent driving job AJG Transport / Gomez Haulers will provide that. Be a good communicator with the company and never disrespect anyone or the equipment and you can drive when you want and be home when you want.

Excellent company to work for. Motivated drivers can receive very good compensation. Dispatch answers the Phone with your name, instead of taking 5 minutes of your time just trying to figure out who you are.

This company cant keep their word. Just like any typical company looking to get as much as they can out of a hard working driver, they basically expect perfection from you, and then they give you the run around as far as pay and basic 2023 necessities be successful such as a working inverter or an jnverter in general. Or a good working fridge to put food in. The freezer part cant be adjusted in them and its basically like a colder fridge youll have for a week. So i recommend to bring tour own because whats in those isnt worth a hoot. Ask what you would like to do, then you get into it and it isnt anything like you talked about. Got in there and they immedately have me running night shift when that wasnt talked about - starting at 10pm. Then theyll have you barely enough time to make it to your destination for the appointment. Tell you thst you can get there early for the appointment, and then you get there early in the morning after driving all night and the receiver says that dispatch information is not right. So theres a lie right there again. Then after you run 650 miles through the night after they bother you every time you stop, you finally get in the dock afrer hours in the morning after your 14 hiurs is up and theres nothing else you can do but wait. Thats when everyine in the company is up and sitting around and have nothing to do— and thsts when youll get a call from abiut 5 different people the whole time your stuff is in the dock and youre trying to sleep while youre waiting srohnd because you just put in a 14 hour work day with 650 miles running night shift. They call every hour the whole time i was disconnected in the dock and intentionally bothered me while supposed to be sleeping while the stuff is in the dock. For the next 12 hours they did this. Then they dont give you any information on the next load snd say they dont have anything planned until youre done unloading, but then the next week these people change up the story saying thst you have a load planned even though you have just done the same thing from the week before and somehow they now have a load ready when the current frieght hasnt been unloaded after sitting in the dock for 10+ hours afrer your 14 hours and dont forget. Theyre calling you the whole time for no reason because theyre sitting around with nothing to do. Then theyll make you get the trucj washed even if you have to sit around 5 hours to wait in line - mind you. Not getting paid to waiting around for 5 hours. Just to have the truck cleaned. In their thing they make you sign, it says that the trucj needs ti be washed once a week at any blue beacon but then they switch up the requirements the next week from a different person telling you something different that you have to get it washed at the ened of the trip instead of anywhwre at anytime at any blue beacon during the week. Mind you. I was in a truck that hadnt looked like it had been washed for like 6 months the first week i was there. Not to mention theres supposedly a professional cleaning company thet comes in there and cleans out the trucks ona. Weekly basis. Its nothing more than a 10 minute floor wipedown and maybe a dash wipedown probably with the same rag that was used on the floor. Its not deepcleaned and its not professionally done. Its done by some dude who climbs in there just ya know. Makes the floor look clean and puts a couple of no smoking signs on the windows. I would use those wipes on the dash onthe touched surfsces on 3 different trucks in 4 weeks and would pull a ton of dirt off the dash, steering wheel, and dash parts because trucking can be dirty and i dont like dirty stuff. Glass isnt cleaned on the vehicles on the inside

Discrimination at its finest. Have to fight for your own check. You might get a 700 dollar check if dispatch likes you missing pay mileage never adds up to check so whatever pay rate they promised that's a lie weekly average pay is a lie. Slip seating truck so they want you to sleep on someone else's dirty mattress let not start on the lack of trying to get in contact with anybody sorry only by email... be prepared for them them to use your phone to company business and them telling you they don't reimburse the usage of it. Place is a joke.checkstub details huh forget about it..Trust me stay away from these people

Got tired of breaking down all the time at my old company and nothing being done about it called AJG to see what they could offer me and right off the bat it was 6cpm more home every weekend and a brand new 2023 Mack so that way I wouldn’t have to worry about break downs for awhile. Since being here dispatch has been amazing I have indeed been home every weekend and the trucks get detailed while your home that was a nice perk. I really like it here and can’t wait to see how much I can grow here.

I'm currently a driver for AJG. I have been working here almost 5 years now. You know most people talk about a truck and company you hear is the bad. Well this isn't about the bad. Everybody here at AJG is respectable and they treat you with respect. I have no complaints about my employment here. They have always been honest with me and I'm planning on driving for them for a long long time. If you are looking for a good company to drive for, look no further. This is a great company.

On March 23rd I was honored to have an interview with Dominik at AJG Transport. I applied for a Driver position with the company and the entire experience of his road test was totally awesome! Dominik gave great advice about things he's encountered as a truck driver. AJG has really nice equipment and their set up of coming home on the weekend reporting any issues with the truck so the mechanics can repair any issues is a plus. They require equipment to be washed every week upon coming in for off time. This company is great for anyone that resides in or Near San Antonio and desires real home time. Unfortunately, I had to decline the job offer due to their slip sleep policy.

At AJG Transport, you will be rewarded for the investment that you put it. If you are an individual who seeks to consistently improve in leadership and professional growth, this is the place for you! There are jobs out there that won't bat an eye regardless of how hard you work, but at AJG they encourage excellence and are willing to provide compensation in proportion to what you do. Management will challenge you to grow as a leader here. They encourage an ownership mentality and are consistently looking for individuals who don't shy away from leadership.

i used to work there in 2022. first couple of weeks seemed good. after a month or so it went down hill. third party dispatchers always blowing up your personal phone to check your status. regardless if you just started your 10 hr reset. they are picky on where you park. they rush you to get to your truck to start the day only to wait. on top of dispatchers blowing you up you also have brokers calling. the money isn’t there based on the miles. san antonio to jackson tn area and back for 950$ ish.

Working at AJG as a local driver was okay, the day rate pay versus the amount of hours you put in isn’t good, equals to around 18/hr. The work you to the bone everyday and get what they pay for everyday. You’ll come home drain everyday. You get one day off during the week at random but they will work you lateee the day before and ask you to come in earlyyyy the day after your day off so it’s not much of a day off. You’re also off on sundays, but expect the same. If you ask questions about pay or management you will get A cold response and feel like you have a target.

They are a great company to drive for. I think as long as you are alright with getting called once a day just to see how you are doing then you will get the miles you want and the schedule you need. They have bonuses that really help and understand if you are in a pinch when it comes to the schedule. I like the truck they have me in and don't think i will stop working here.
