Been here for almost 10 months. Great place to work. Friendly. Good pay. Good incentives. As in water heaters, pad folding, safety bonus. Good nice trucks. Refrigerators. The shop will fix anything wrong with your truck. The CEO walks up to greet you by name everytime he sees you. Recruiting is great. They stand on there word 100%. You need a great place to start, or a great place to retire. This is the place. Great insurance, dental, vision. Come to ALTL anybody reading this. Seriously

A great company to work for. A small (100 drivers), family-run transportation and warehousing company that follows the principled values set forth by its local owner. ALTL mostly carries office furniture and dry goods food product. They are good to us drivers, offer plenty of opportunity to get home, have competitive wages, and the assigned dispatchers are nice because we get to know them so asking for an occasional favor is no problem. The maintenance department is second to none- they spare no expense to not only keep us drivers moving, but comfortable as well. I started driving here by training with an OTR driver and have never looked back. Been here almost 3 years now, and many of the drivers have been with the company over 20-30 years!

Their drivers are very rude and when you pass one up they are on their cellphone and look at you like you are doing something wrong. Never could get ahold of their safety department

I worked with ALTL several years ago. Great company to work for especially when first starting in the trucking business. My training & trainer were very good. They really are good to their drivers. The mechanic shop always is on top of any problems with the trucks. I regret not appreciating all the good they did for me. If your looking for a great trucking company to work for, this is it.....

I started my truck driving carrier in 2005. After being with 3 other truck companies landing here has been the best. This is one of, if not the best company to work for.

Need better trainers….people who actually know what they’re doing. They can’t keep any nice trainers because of the pay. Every trainer I had was fairly new…Not having a good trainer affected me severely and made my job harder

I was supposed to get extra pay automatically included in my pay for safety compliance. I never received, asked about the extra pay and all they would say to me is that it's included in your pay. I asked them to show me on paper HR could not write anything, they got upset and told me to leave office, Don't believe everything they tell you.

I've been at ALTL for over two years now after working for a larger carrier in the Midwest. I can tell you this company truly values their Drivers. Home every weekend (yes, you can get over 3000 miles per week and still be home on the weekend), 70 mph trucks, very nice equipment with refrigerators, Apu's and inverters. They don't micromanage or nitpick every little thing. The office staff is awesome and some of the driver perks are likely best in the industry. Do yourself a favor and come drive at ALTL.

Great Company to get experience over the road. You are treated like a person and not like a number. Dispatch is easy going and are willing to work with drivers. Mainly run east coast.

There is a feeling that you are part of an honorable moral family. Everyone is treated with respect. Attitudes brought from other companies don't apply here. They give us drivers the freedom the other bigger companies do not. We can choose our own routes, our schedule, and where/when we fuel (the company pays for Pilot/Flying-J) as long as we make it to our appointments. This is a great company.

They say no force dispatch but then they make you drive 2,500 miles plus for very little CPM HR is very uncomfortable to talk to with lack of any emotion.

They are very good for new OTR drivers. I learned a lot and they never pressured me. Always able to get home. Good dispatchers and management. Driver facing camera took some time to make peace with, but, they use it to help you improve your skills.

Only people that been there for years get the good loads with all the miles otherwise you get low mile runs and it’s all east coast unless you’re one of the favorite guys that’s been there then you get Florida and Texas others get Pennsylvania and jersey and short loads like that
