Nice truck company
Working at Armellini has been a phenomenal experience. From the kind staff to excellent trainers. Shout out Tomas & John for your unwavering dedication to my education in trucking. This company is the epitome of how a trucking company should be run.
ALL THE EMPLOYEES ARE VERY KIND AND COUTTEOUS
The best drivers in the industry. They have online GPS tracking to let you know when the shipment will arrive to you in addition to an outstanding customer service line. Very reliable service, everything they do is done the "correct way". Armellini Trucking is one of the best partners to have in the perishable business.
Worst management worked very hard two years straight helped put armellini back on the map after a decline in production when I first started helped train over 50 people that already says a lot , loaded perfectly trucks with cubes well over 3000 I’m a young buck but sure as hell had a back that felt like an 80 year old man join an automotive industry you’ll be better off they will treat you like family not this crazy warehouse
Stress free work place
Nice and good
It my place I work
Clean and professional at work
Very friendly and understanding staff and nice clean buildings.
Was told by Carla Gipson that they’re not hiring new Drivers for OTR and to call back when I have experience. Then I got a call back from Carla saying that she ran my name is the database I have to many point on DL to be even be considered to work for the company. However, after the first call I won’t ever be interested in working for this company.
Drove for armellini for six years they used to be a great company to work for I even have them a five star rating at the Time. But the company has turned into a stepping stone company would not recommend it to an experienced driver because of their micromanaging with their cameras. It’s is a good company for a driver just starting out to get his first year of driving experience in them move on to a different company.
I'm a driver and was given time to board up my place, evacuate my family and myself from Hurricane Irma, etc. Then I was even given time to get back, take the boards down (after power returned), and insure my family was ready for me to go before I left on this load. Many thanks to Carlos for his patience working with me on that. Oh, and to Payroll for being able to cash out my other week of vacation during such a crazy time. Zero complaints and many thanks. In my experience, everyone here has been pretty friendly, quick to resolve issues, and honest.
Don’t drive for Armelini express if you wanna risk your life. You doing OTR plus unloading the truck you never sleep they running a illegal operation be careful when it comes to this job. The truck is bad loaded the warehouse people don’t care
I love this place for a few reasons they are great company to work for and as we know flowers are actually women best friends, last but not least they treat you with dignity and respect
SPECTACULAR COMPANY TO WORK FOR
Outside of owning my own company, Armellini is the best company I have worked for in my 50 years in transportation. Eddie Cox, didpatcher, and Everette Coburn, my recruiter, stand out as first class people. The company responds to questions and has real concerns for employee issues. I highly recommend looking into joining the Armellini family if looking for a career in transportation. Bill Saylor
Very professional in their work
Day one going there, I have got only positive interactions with everyone there. So far they make me feel like they are thinking about there employees
I've been driving here for nearly 3 years. Recently I noticed some really good changes and I wanted to say thanks for that! Pay was raised quite a bit in the last 6 months! Trips seem easier, less stops, less ground drops, more boxes are palletized which speeds up unloading and makes it easier. Thank you and for your flexibility!
New hires don’t get many hours, but the people are great to work with, and the managers are highly skilled at their jobs. The only downside is that it’s always through a staffing agency.
This is an excellent company. I encourage all new students to apply for Armellini—it’s a fantastic place to start. They also have their own trucking school, so if your local CDL institution isn’t an option, consider Armellini’s school. It’s incredibly beneficial. I’ve been here a few years, and my experience so far has been excellent.
This job can help you get on your feet. However, it’s easy to become too comfortable. There is potential for growth, but it’s entirely dependent on management. Be ready for a cold working environment throughout the day—it makes a huge difference if you’re prepared.
They will work you nonstop and push you beyond your hours whenever possible, so be cautious. If you’re not careful, they’ll try to have you drive overweight and with unclean trucks. Speaking of uncleanliness, the trucks often have bedbugs, and when drivers quit, they leave the trucks trashed, which are then handed over as-is. Both their teams and local drivers are overworked, and the company struggles to retain staff because they don’t care about their drivers. My advice: be cautious and leave quickly.
The start time varies day to day, depending on the availability of semi-truck drivers. Pay is low, and there’s no clear path for advancement. Routes change based on customer requirements. They’re new at this location, so hopefully things will improve as they resolve logistics and delivery issues.
Local drivers in Miami are always assigned a different tractor, which isn’t ideal. The pay is good for the job, and you won’t have to handle freight. There’s a 40-hour weekly guarantee plus some overtime, though there’s a slight preference on that front. Overall, it would be great if not for the recurring truck problems.
The work hours are erratic and don’t take driver needs into account. You’ll work 14-hour shifts, get a 10-hour break, and then be right back for another 14-hour shift. The schedule is unpredictable—you might start at 2 PM one day and 4 AM the next. It’s absolutely chaotic.
If 24–32 hours without sleep sounds appealing, this is the job for you. The only way to make it worthwhile is by speeding through your runs to get home faster, which requires both drivers to stay awake and unload boxes, whether you're on duty or not. Expect to sit at shippers for six hours and earn around $30 for it. There’s no fixed schedule—you’re on call and expected to check in every day at 11 AM when not on the road. Loads can be canceled late in the evening after you’ve spent the entire day preparing. The only positives are well-maintained equipment and helpful dispatch. This job is really only suitable for fresh graduates from driving school—stay a year, then leave!
They will overwork you. While the pay is decent for new drivers and the equipment is nice, I’d come home for just a few hours before having to head out again for long runs to California and back. It wasn’t worth the time away from my family. Thankfully, I found a better opportunity, but this company is great for gaining experience.
This job felt like a rare find—a needle in a haystack. It offered a great work-life balance, solid pay, and a positive work environment. It truly felt like everyone was working toward the same goals.
