As a driver, the absolute best job I have ever had. The Dispatch and company staff is very friendly and accommodating. I haven't had one bad experience with any staff in the year I have been here. The company offers good insurance, 401k, and paid vacations. I've had to take some time off from work for personal reasons and they never blinked about it, just asked me how much time I need and to let them know if I needed more time. We could use better trucks, but they are kept up on maintenance. The company has fair pay considering the simplicity of the overall job requirements. Definitely a company worth retiring at. They also offer the opportunity of joining the truckers union. Couldn't be happier.

Horrible toxic work environment, if you value any kind of home time or off time do not work here. Request days off and they get denied with no reason. Tell you can have day off, you take it then get wrote up. Drivers you slip seat with are just as bad, god forbid you leave a spec of dust in truck, they will cry and you will get written up. No wonder this place is always hiring.

The good thing is that you will have the newest equipment and they will never leave you stranded if the truck does need to be fixed. You will however, spend a lot of time on the road if you have the OTR option. If you are not OTR, you will waste a lot of time during loading and unloading. Besides that, the people there always treated me with respect and a friendly attitude.

Nothing Good at All...Nothing, run over DOT Allowed hours of service, get 4 hours of sleep a day, bust your bu!! for unfair pay. When family members are making double that and running normal schedule. Non family members get treated unfairly

If you want family time this isn't it. Expect to work long nights if your new. I was asked to call in and forfeit minimum pay so that could help family. In the end I wound up fatigued and burnt out. In one month! Then when I gave notice I was terminated. I was told it was based on performance? I came in an hour early before every shift and delivered every load given. I only had problems when my family needed me. It's a hectic schedule. Almost never the same so it's hard to get enough rest. However once you gain seniority you get what you want. Insurance is way expensive. But they pay some of it. You wind up having to sleep on most days off. No home life till you there for years. And even then your family will wonder. Why don't he write?

During the beginning it was fine. After some time you realize the pay AND benefits isn’t there. They Lose drivers constantly. Forced insurance, weak union until more join. Swift transportation absolutely pays and treats their drivers better than this. YOU WILL NOT RETIRE HERE!!!!!
