it not a bad job but like i said nor much work the are good people you want time the will give to you you off every week end i have nothing bad to about this company
There is a complete suppression of ideas and growth at work. The manager lies constantly and the rest of the office is made to play politics. It's a shame.
I know every company has its flaws. Honestly theirs nothing bad I can say. I love my work I love the fact they still run Columbia's the last breed of a 100% diesel truck, love the flexibility love the pay the people and staff is awesome it's always respect and support it's a great place to be and as a previous owner op you almost have the same freedom
You get paid for your work….It depends on your work ethic. Very understanding if you need time off due to emergency…You get paid by your performance…Home every night!
Bay Shippers to me is the best company that I have ever worked for the environment the management the people the drivers they’re just very friendly nice individuals I couldn’t ask for a better company to work for
Wonderful place to work for. To them your a name not a number. No problems with anyone. You need something they help you out. Need something fixed they took care of it.
The company is flexible of working with you as a truck driver if you need time off. I have a dedicated run I do every week and I have a good relationship with the customer I deliver to. Plus I like the fact you get paid every week.
Dispatch listens to you. You don't have to chase dispatch for when you need time off or when you need longer(or shorter) runs. We don't slip-seat. Fuel cards Benefits Want more work? It's there. Need a day off? They'll work with you.
I have been at Bay Shippers 3 years as a tractor trailer driver. I like the culture and my dispatcher cares about my time and efforts put forth into the company. The workplace culture is professional and there is room to grow. The most enjoyable part of my job is making my deliveries and having satisfied customers.
Working is a large part of my life, so how I spend that time is important to me. I need a job that pays me a fair rate of pay so that I can support my family. I need time off for appointments as well as recreation. I need management that encourages me to do my best, and be my best. I need equipment that is safe, reliable and comfortable. When you add that all together you have Bay Shippers. I have a permanent truck to drive and steady loads with quarterly training videos so that I'm kept current and reminded of important safety issues. Since I'm a regional driver most of my driving is done at night for early morning deliveries. Even though it's the middle of the night, if I have an issue, either equipment, paperwork, or personal, I know that my dispatcher is only a phone call away and whatever assistance is needed will be provided. What I don't have are supervisors that don't care or who are unapproachable. Although I'm very satisfied with our pay rate and benefits, life is about more than that. Being encouraged to do a good job and appreciated for what you do makes working pleasurable and that's what we all want. I'm one of the longer term employees and I can't see myself ever working anywhere but here.
I'm relatively new to Bay Shippers, however I am a 32 year veteran driver from foodservice and LTL. Being new to container work, the company provided training and made my transition seamless. The company is driver friendly and works to ensure a good work/life balance and friendly atmosphere.
I have worked at Bayshippers now for many years. I enjoy being close to home and the flexibility of my job. I also am satisfied with the pay, raises, and bonuses that I receive. Good family oriented business.
I’m a female driver at bay shippers , I have only been with this company for a short amount of time but every morning i look forward to going into work . Everyone at this company is welcoming and friendly . I would describe this company as family oriented and already i feel in place . I can definitely say this is not a job but a career and a long term career for me. I would highly recommend and refer people to come work for this company if your looking for good pay and home time .
This company is excellent. The pay is awesome and they really work with your schedule. If your looking for good pay and hometime this is your company.
managemnt never made good on their decisions. too much petty gossip and favortism. no annual reviews for raises and minimal pay. trucks break down and terrible maintenance. drivers destroy trucks and aren't held responsible.
