This company is a joke. There is no communication anywhere within the company . Dispatch is a joke. Pay is terrible. My husband has been with this company for 3 months and has to fight to get his extra pay he is owed. He sat for 6 hours one day and 7 hours the next day last week and never got paid. Another driver took his load and dropped it instead of switching out and he didn't get paid for miles stolen from him. Nobody knows what is going on. He worked a week straight and pay was under 1200.00. He was hired for regional to be home on weekends and he discussed this before he was hired but nobody seems to understand regional and nobody was told even though they agreed to that and hired him. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They don't expect them to sleep, eat, or go to the bathroom or shower. Dispatch can't read a map or calculate distance with drive time/clock. Just a joke of a company.

Since this popped up on google ill give a review. ZERO STARS I see other people have had similar experiences. BULLET DODGE. BE THANKFUL Even how they respond back to the reviews is classless and everyone who gives a negative review is the problem lol. It's never the company. No accountability. Pay attention to all these things when searching for a company. I was told on the last day of orientation (After I passed my road test) that they were sending me home because i was on my phone during class. I was the only person in class that held a TWIC card and had hazmat on my license. Therefore i had paperwork electronically to fill out and the rest of the class only had paper packets. This was sent via email by the slender lady that handles orientation (DURING ORIENTATION). The older gentleman with the cane told me they were sending me home. He would take me to the airport and a rental car was waiting. Once i got to the airport all the cars were already lended out so i was stranded. I called him a couple times and he didn't answer so i had to reach out to dispatch and they were clueless as to what was going on. Totally understandable. Eventually got back in touch with the older gentleman and he said someone eles would book me another car and that he was about to be in a meeting so don't bother calling again. If there is a problem during class address it then. Don't string someone along. If you're going to send someone home don't wait until the last day. Drivers when you go off make sure you have enough funds for last minute flights. A flight home was 900 bucks because i live in a rural area with no major airport. I say all this to say God always has a ram in the bush. I was so damn mad and hurt not realizing something better was in store. I found another company that is so good to me i wish i would've started with the company right after i got my CDL. Blessings to all!

After refusing a load to a place where I felt unsafe due to some disturbing reviews by other drivers, and a Facebook page that showed that place to be a racially hostile environment, I was told by the manger of Baylor that I had to agree to take any load anywhere, regardless of if I was in fear for my life or if even it it was a SUNDOWN town (I am african american). I asked him about Vidor, Texas which is a known place that truckers of color should not go, and he said that if disptched a load there, then I would be required to take it there regardless of if I felt safe or not. I couldn't believe the way he was communicating with me as this had been cleared with my dispatcher previously who didn't have a problem with my decision. I was in shock and he did not care. I asked him if he knew the history of sundown towns and what people had been through in those places. Instead of answering me, he told that he could show me a picture of his black boyfriend. WHAT DOES HIS BLACK BOYFRIEND HAVE TO DO WITH MY SAFETY??? I guess that was his way of trying to tell me he was not racist which had nothing to do with the conversation. He was cold and nasty in his tone and did not budge on his stance. When I refused to agree to those terms, he told me that he is taking my response as my resignation. I told him that if this how they felt and treated people, then I didn't want to be there. Disturbing. I really liked the other staff at Baylor for the most part and never really had any huge issue until that meeting. Any company who does not care about the safety and wellbeing of ALL of their driver's, should be carefully considered. I wasn't going to say anything, but I needed to let other people know what could potentially happen if you decide to come here. Unfortunate because I had not planned to leave that company for a while.

Its an ok place to work office staff and shop staff are friendly The shop staff do a good job keeping the older trailers repaired if the drivers will just let them know there is a problem. Trucks are updated and newer. Reason I left was started out as an OTR driver ran long/regional runs at first but then I started running short and local runs. They run alot of Amazon/UPS freight, loads are tight on time and you normally start up at between 1100/ 1300 and will make delivery between 1900 and 2400. Would be a great gig if you always had a place to shutdown when you are done for the night. Truck parking is a big issue that time of night.

These people are really sick. They fired two people during orientation and didn’t give them a way to get back home. Pretty much left them stranded in nowhere, Indiana. They humiliated the first guy in front of everybody. I was appalled honestly. I do not recommend this company they do not care about you at all, and will sell you out without thinking about it. And by the way, the only two people who got fired were both black guys. So take that as you will.

Very good company. They literally (I mean literally literally) roll out the red carpet for new drivers. I mean a literal red carpet ceremony. Very kind people. Great customers, major companies, not paper recycling yards. Excellent equipment. Funny and friendly dispatchers and bosses.

Judging from how the driver of truck 24854 drives (68 mph in a 55 no passing lines on road) and phone up to his ear talking (shipper said he was talking to his girlfriend) yall must not take the law or safety very serious. If I did that with my company, I would've been fired immediately.

Trying to get your CDL at Baylor is a complete hassle with the people in the office. I wouldn’t recommend going there for anyone you’ll waste 4 months trips out to the office and still not have your CDL license when it’s all said and done

Baylor truly truly cares about the drivers. The owner is amazing and really thinks about decisions and how they will effect drivers and company. Our dispatchers are freakin awesome. Pay is good. They definitely keep us moving. We got into a nice very clean truck! No worries if you have to stop should you need a repair because you make a minimum but most times we go over that. Fueling process is easy. Insurance is fine as well.

You know I've worked for Baylor two different times and both times I really enjoyed working there I got cancer the first time had to take a year and half off went back and after four months my wife had to have emergency surgery I had to go home they told me not to worry they would be there and hire me back when I got ready to comes back.but now they won't hire me back or give me a reason I didn't ever think they would do me that way but they did.i thought cari cared more than that about her driver's but I guess not so they don't care and they don't have your back so maybe now they can tell me why they won't rehire me

Best company we have ever drove for. Me and my wife team drive and own our own truck. We brought our truck to Baylor after our previous company went bankrupt. We've been here almost 2 years and Baylor never fails to impress us, keeps us highly profitable, and has that down home family feeling.

What is the best part of working at the company? If you’re willing to work, you can get the miles. Depending on who your dispatcher is you may have to ‘gently’ remind him or her of when you want off, but it’s not that difficult. Flexible home time. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? I’m part of a team so I get wrapped kinda tight when we get short runs. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? We’ve been here 7 months and have found the company to be very respectful of drivers. You might have to stand your ground at times, but a lot of that stems from dispatchers having so many drivers to keep up with. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Hahahaha!!! Driving!

I had to leave BAYLOR AFTER 11 1/2 YEARS, due to my eyesight could not be corrected, and Ohio pulled my CDL, so I no longer drive. This company is 100% caring for every employee, no matter who you are! It's tough at first, as it is in every company's new hires. Give them a chance, the benefits are awesome, the people are awesome and you get paid to do all you do. They are definitely a career company, once you are here you will want to stay. YOU ARE A NAME IN THIS COMPANY, NOT A NUMBER!!!

The management is poor, They are rude to their drivers as they treat us like we are in kindergarten. They push and push you to run and run and when you take longer than a 30 minute break they ask why so long of a break. They never factor in traffic or weather for loads and blame the driver.

A lot of drivers complain about it but its only because they don't do their job the right way. Baylor has helped me with my family and doesn't give me grief when I go home they pay me well and its not just a company as drivers put on here. They compare them to huge companies and you can't because at baylor were all family we are a team fighting together to accomplish a goal. Our place in the trucking world. We are a family that kicks butt and takes names. We are here to work and succeed. All these reviews about how they are bad look every company has a bad side bit its how your team deals with it. That's the difference. Baylor is hands down the best company I've been apart of. I'm honored to be apart of the baylor family and to have them on my team is truly a blessing.
