The brokers on the Purple and Blue team have been awesome. They demonstrate regularly their knowledge of ten business. They communicate clear explanations to dispatchers and drivers. They are easy to reach via phone and always respond timely to emails. The only disappointing thing is that the rates have been negatively effected in 2024 and have been reduced substantially by Best.

Several years ago this was a great place to work. Moral was high, people were smiling, managers knew how to talk to the drivers. It was a place to be proud of where you worked. Today however things have changed. Moral is down amongst drivers, drivers are miserable because of micromanagement, cameras telling them how to drive. Many veteran drivers have been let go lately because of minor violations on their new camera systems. The joy that could be found in driving once is now gone. What made this company great has now changed, they are turning into every other big trucking company. It is sad, but a few have ruined it. Changes in management have definitely made things worse, especially with the best dedicated floater division. After seeing the last year unfold there's no way I'd get on board with this company. And if I was I'd be jumping ship. Truck driving is changing and not for the better.

After many years of driving and working with brokers, I just wanted to take the time out to thank the team at Best Logistics. Professional, prompt, and courteous. Having Alex and Kristin doing what they do has made the past 6-7 months operating my business so much easier. A big thank you to them and the team at Best! H.Lacy

This is truly a very professional and courteous group of people. Second to DoD, they provide me the best rates in this volatile market. A special Thanks to Chris for responding to my emails on the weekends and even getting me a load Sunday evening for Monday morning.

When I think about my family on the road, I am grateful that Best puts safety first and holds its drivers, dispatchers, and managers accountable. I am proud to work for a people-oriented company that prioritizes the safety of its drivers - and the motorists that encounter them - above anything else.

Typical of crooks from Chicago. They are CROOKS they steal from your detention. I was at pepsi in Jacksonville, FL for 10 hours they pay $60.00 x hour for detention and this broker take half when detention is to the owner operator the whole thing CROOKS. I been a trucker since 1977 and this broker got to be out of buisness. Don't haul loads for this crooks let's all stay together on what this brokers are doing.

Poor wages! Old/unsafe equipment, I could walk the yard and fail inspection on almost every tractor there. When trucks and trailers need repair they are just bandaided. The trailers on my account we're ancient and garbage. There is a huge lack of communication through out the company with many "hire ups" in positions that they are completely unqualified for. They have "pet" employees throughout the company, so watch your back. The benefits package is a joke, health insurance is expensive and you vacation is almost a penalty to use at $150 a day. They don't care about you, your a number and with their CDL School they have constant supply of new drivers to cover the high turn over rate. Get your experience and get out or find another carrier to give you a chance. Walking away from here was the best thing I ever did for my career.

I am currently employed as a yard switcher for this company. I started out in another division but being unsatisfied with what I was expecting, I was able to switch divisions. This company strives to put the individual where they will be most satisfied.

Inclusive place to work and do business with. Dependable staff that know how to get things done in an equitable fashion. There is an on-site shop with an amazing turn around, as well as a driving school within a couple of miles. Very down to earth people.

So I recently got another email from this company on indeed being interested in me so I'll leave my response here. Last time I was contacted by best I had a total of 14 hours of my time wasted. From staying away from home that evening on a phone call to going down there on the promise of $27/hr for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shift. So I took the following day off only to go down for an interview where I had to leverage my way into $24 and it was only because I'd be on a service truck traveling down to Georgia and all and being away from home 3 or 4 nights a week. No thanks. Mechanics beware.

Worked for best for 13 years. The dispatchers were great but the pay is what really drove me away. Top pay was 48 cpm and they would not give me anymore. I had to move on. Other than the low pay, my experience with Best was nice. Thank you

I’ve been here a little over 2 months with the kernersville cartage division. There’s some weeks I don’t even get 40 hours. Trucks aren’t great. Pay is low. Start pay is 21.50 Top pay is 24.50 no overtime pay it’s all the same hourly wage. Idk about the other divisions and there pay but I’m currently looking for another job. Just not worth it here

This is one of the worst places you can work as a driver or any role for that matter. Their driving school isn't profitable and turnover rate for instructors is through the roof!! Equipment is always down and to make it worse they have drivecams that are always recording you so management can watch your every move. Not for safety reasons as they will tell you.

Best has great drivers. There trucks are absolutely worn out. Some have over 1 million miles and still strapped together and used. They have drivers waiting for 2-3 hours before the can work because not enough trucks at accounts.

It’s decent if you ignore all the extra stressors. The pay leaves a lot to be desired, some places that I’ve been sent to to drop or pick up a load is either barely accessible, or straight up impossible to get into/out of. The people are mostly phenomenal, the mechanics are great in my opinion. Management is meh. Sometimes it seems like they care and other times their heads seem to be in the clouds, like they don’t understand how much more time it takes to travel with a tractor trailer. When my truck/trailer goes down on the road, it gets bandaided and told to roll on. Only the in house mechanics fix stuff right, but the trailer is so old that it chooses when it wants to work correctly. It also sucks to be out 2+ weeks at a time and only get two days at home. Basically live on the road with no home time.

Worn out trucks that are 7-8-9 years old that have 700,000 to 1,400,000 miles on them with busted dash and gages. Hardly ever able to get repairs fixed because shop mechanics are over worked trying to keep old equipment running. Low starting pay for new drivers and no raises even after 6+ months running same loads as veteran drivers run for months. Slip seating or giving your normal assigned truck to other drivers that you try to keep clean and sanitary and non-smoking inviroment, even during COVID virus and flu season, leaving you to get assigned another , dirty, truck for 2 or 3 days just because other drivers truck is broke down. Company name is best but it is not even 2nd. Best. No real set schedule so yo never know when you will get home each day. You may only work 6 hours in a day or it could be as much as 16 hours for the day. Even thought this is a home daily job you are never able to get anything done at home because of most days being 12+ hours on the clock.

Everyone knows the trucking industry is low paying. This company doesn't pay fair based on the amount/type of work required, and it's not particularly close. Averages about 14% of a load: you can do much better elsewhere. There are 20-25% of load opportunities. Salary isn't keeping up with inflation. This used to be a GREAT company when it was family-run. I said used to be.

Orientation probably the best thing about the job. management is awful. You live in the truck, but are reminded its not your truck when they let someone else take of in it for a few days with your stuff in it. Then when something gets stolen they are like you should have removed everything from your truck?!?!

as a driver times vary but usually start times are close 12 to 14 hour days as reginal driver Management is great the president of the company and the vice president both started out as dispatcher's so they no trucking and drivers so when you have a problem they understand your needs. Great! work place culture. The long hours but that is any trucking job. The relationship with other drivers and the freedom that management gives you to do your job.

I was a yard driver for this company for almost a year. Trucks were always broken down, and before they would send out rentals for us to use we had to use day cabs. My co workers slept mostly while I was expected to do everything. Management was informed several times about the issues I and my co workers were having and nothing was ever done.
