I've had my shipping nightmares, but these folks completely turned my experience around
Definitely earned my loyalty!
From the moment I reached out for a quote, their team was super friendly
You don't just transaction for them, you're a partner
Saw them sponsor a local charity event recently, and it’s heartwarming to see a company that gives back
Dumb kid driving this truck cut me off on the highway. Would have hit the front of my truck if I didn't hit my brakes. Careless and oblivious.
When I worked for them they were a good company to work for chan was a good dispatcher he took care of his driver's so I recommend this company if you need a job
Don’t get caught driving behind them. Had a rock fly out of the truck bed and smash our windshield. Almost caused me to wreck. To make things worse, the company handling their claims misrepresented my statement and denied the claim. Now stuck with a bill for windshield replacement. Calls to the company have not been returned and appeal denied by their claims company (Fleet Response). Unreal….
Wreckless AF in traffic. Not only did this driver cut my family off in traffic after getting off of I85 onto Cox Rd, but I also witnessed him running a red light on Franklin Blvd. This is unacceptable
Good pay and job it self is great the boss who starts with J has napoleon syndrome he is nothing but a lying sack of gravel. Dispatchers are great and work is good if you do job.
They'll let you go in an instant. No warning. No stability. If you're counting on steady work don't work here. Been here almost 4 yrs with no issues ( not bad employee, no tickets, etc ), was brought in to the yard and laid off the week of New Years. After being told multiple times the company is doing great, we are going to buy new trucks. We are strong. 40 drivers getting tossed like trash.
Glad they went out of business. They lied and treated their drivers poorly. They would take monet out of your paycheck and would laugh and say they could do what they wanted to when confronted. I reported them to department of labor and they got fined and forced to repay me back the monies they took. Adam was one of the worst managers I've ever dealt with
I've been with blue max for a little over a month and I can see myself being here for many more. I love being so close to home but still able to do the job i enjoy doing. I've almost added 500 a week to my paychecks while staying in the southeast no more than 2 states away rather than being all over the right side of this country for less pay and less hometime. These guys really try to make sure you get the best home time with your family while also getting you as many miles as possible to make a good living for your family. I don't feel like a robot here and I can almost set my own schedule. I'm up at 5am and done by 6pm every day so I never worry about parking anymore which at my last job I was almost having to pay for parking 3 to 4 times a week since I never got done before 9pm. The mack athem trucks are pretty awesome. Can actually handle weight and can go 70mph instead of being stuck at 62 like my last job. And they have a built in fridge so no more taking up space. These guys let you focus on doing your job instead of trying to manage your entire life. You have freedom in this job but don't strangle yourself with it. And they don't make you carry coil loads!!! Lumber, stone, shingles and sod is all you haul for the most post (sod is only for the local guys though)
Beware of this scam of a company. .they will keep your money. Not home on fridays like promised, responsible for tolls, tarps and straps, don't supply blankets to keep tarps from ripping, but remember you are responsible for their property. also responsible for any over weight tickets. You don't find all this out until orientation. You sit for hours waiting on loads. After the clock has started too.Poor communication.you won't hear from them until 10am or after about load info, after saying they will call at 6:30am Don't apologize for delaying you home. Will even hang up the phone on you. Not very organized at all. Stay away better yet run. It's pretty bad another driver tells you not to stay with the company and your only at orientation. It's gotta say something. Not to mention boyfriend also picked up a load to take to them when returning the truck. Don't pay to be nice to someone or a company..total BS! Watch YouTube videos on their reviews.
. I have been working for this company for a year now. They are a good company, they believe in their drivers. They don’t micromanage. They do not bully nor do they put up with that type of behavior from anyone within the company. Pros- On the average day, you will never hear from them. They leave you alone to concentrate on your task on hand. I’m home on the weekends and sometimes throughout the week. I’m paid well and on time. Cons. Company none. They need to be stricter on their hiring process. The company is designed for Flatbed drivers such as myself. If you avoid short cuts, take your time on making sure your load is safely secured and tarped when needed to be. If that is you. This company is for you. The best part about Blue Max Transport. When come Friday, you have a nice check sitting in your account and by the end of the day. You will find yourself on your favorite road cruising at 75. The road to the house. A real company built for real drivers!
Do not work for blue max transport the will not pay u right
Do not work for blue max transport the will not pay u right. Then if u quiet in a month they will cost u to deadhead the truck back to the yard or they try to reload the truck so they can get for that. So do not go to work there they tin u bad. Do not work there

Love the people that work there so nice..
What is there pay rate and do they stay busy? Anyone answer that for me please
Best dump truck driving job
I have an Clyde to work for this company myself ask anyone and they will tell you if you want a good job driving a dump truck Blue Max is the place you want to get on
Very nice people and great trucks. I would recommend it to anyone that really wants to work.
The job pays well, but the long hours leave little time for family. Dispatchers need to improve how they communicate with drivers, as drivers are the foundation of the company.
- Best part of working at the company: Leaving work and going home. - Most stressful aspect: Being part of a team with highly unprofessional drivers. - Work environment and culture: The entire workplace, from management to drivers, is disorganized and unprofessional. - Typical day: Surrounded by gossiping coworkers, which makes for a frustrating work atmosphere.
- Best part of working at the company: Feeling a sense of teamwork with the other drivers. - Most stressful aspect: Long hours and out-of-town assignments, especially unfamiliar locations at first. - Work environment and culture: Arriving on time and completing tasks as scheduled makes it a good place to work. - Typical day: Arrive on time, wait for dispatch to call your truck number, acknowledge the assignment, complete the tasks, and park the truck at the end of the day.
Blue Max is a decent place to work. During the busy summer season, the long hours result in good earnings. The trucks are well-maintained, unlike some companies that provide outdated vehicles. I would recommend working here.
The equipment is decent, and dispatchers are cooperative. However, the company doesn't prioritize retaining good drivers, allowing skilled employees to leave while keeping underperformers.
This company offers a great work environment. The only downside is the pay structure—I wish it were based on percentage rather than cents per mile. Otherwise, the people are friendly, the trucks are well-maintained, and management doesn't interfere unnecessarily.
A good place to work with reasonable hours and minimal stress. The equipment is solid, and the shop is responsive. However, compensation is lower than other CDL jobs in Charlotte.
The job involves long hours, early mornings, and weekend shifts, but the vehicles and shop staff are great. The steady work and excellent pay make it worthwhile.
The company lacks trust and accountability. While it's a good place to gain experience, the pay is low, and it wasn’t the right fit for me—though it might be for others.
Management is solely focused on profits and doesn't care about employees. Safety claims are misleading, and reckless driving is ignored. Reporting issues to management does nothing, as they prioritize their interests. The pay is decent, but I would advise against working here.
The pay is great when there’s work, but most jobs require out-of-town travel, limiting time with family. It would be better if more jobs were local. .
I’ve been with Blue Max Trucking for a few months and enjoy working out of the Graham Street Yard. Since moving from Pennsylvania, the drivers and safety personnel have been extremely helpful in getting me adjusted to Charlotte. I’m glad to be part of the team.
If you're considering applying—don't. This is one of the worst companies to work for. Starting pay is only $17 per hour, regardless of experience. Management fails to acknowledge hard work, and dispatchers are rude and unprofessional. Employees are identified by truck numbers, not names, and turnover is high. You’ve been warned.
Arriving at least 10 minutes early allows time for a pre-trip inspection. Learning to navigate Charleston has taken time, but most drivers are courteous.
This company is great to work for. They guarantee drivers will be home every weekend and follow through on that promise. If you prefer management making decisions for you, this may not be the right fit—drivers need to take initiative and maintain their equipment properly.
Overall, a great workplace with friendly people and well-maintained equipment. The offices and mechanic shop are clean, and any field issues are quickly resolved.
Compensation and benefits need improvement, along with management and workplace culture. Work-life balance could also be better.
Drivers are home on weekends, possibly Saturdays, but departures are at 7 AM. Despite being a small company, they operate with a big-business mentality, treating employees as numbers.
Working for Blue Max was rewarding. Strong teamwork and management support made the job enjoyable. Shifts lasted 8 to 10 hours, and experienced drivers helped newcomers adjust.
A straightforward job—receive assignments via text, complete tasks until sign-out at the job site, and work independently throughout the day. The mechanics are knowledgeable and hardworking.
