They're not afraid to get their hands dirty. Not just bosses, they're partners
looking for a hauling company that's got heart, that's got soul? then look no further
I gotta say, their skill at handling complex logistics blew me away. They've got a crew of pros who can handle anything from easy pickups to those tricky multi-modal shipments
From the top-down, everyone at the company seems to be passionate
So to be completely honest and transparent I do not and have not worked for this company. However I've seen there advertisement on YouTube and if I were a truck driver. In the Fort Wayne area I'd strongly consider working for this company
One star is for the fact that we had to submit the invoice 5 times with the only reason it wasn't more times is because we were finally told that a 'stamp' on the 'back' of the BOL needed sent also. The second/third star is for Reagan B. clearing up the payment issue on her FIRST try! Way to go Reagan (AND her supervisor)! We will see how the next load goes now that we have been made aware of ALL requirements (?).
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the outstanding service Robert Hall provided us with. His dedication to scheduling and keeping us informed on the delivery of our LTM 1120 was truly remarkable. We appreciate all your efforts and your commitment to providing exceptional service. Your professionalism and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Thank you for making our experience a positive one. We look forward to working with you again in the future.
I have been using Buchanan Hauling for my shipments for over 5 years and I am never disappointed with the service I receive. I had never heard of them prior but took a shot on them and am so grateful I did. Buchanan is willing to go above and beyond for their customers and it shows with the positive feedback we get from the receivers. My contact is always positive to deal with, prompt, professional and exceptionally knowledgeable. Zero issues I highly recommend Buchanan for your logistics needs from start to finish.
Robert and Amanda are second to none in the trucking business. They never let you down and always come through at a fair price. Highly recommended.
I guess your driver in trk 2860 pulling trailer 53FO38 doesn't like following speed limits. Said driver passed me in Illnois at MM 149.81 doing 65 or better and the speed limit is 60 for trucks Then the speed drops to 55 for all and the driver is still running 65 or better. Good job on the "professional" drivers.
In the days of brokers that sometimes do not excude professionalism, Buchanan goes the extra mile. On point communication and fair price, in light of the current market. Alex M. [BROKER] was diligent with communication and resolved our concerns in a timely manner, and I sincerely appreciated that. Highly recommended and will haul for them anytime.
Brokerage agent, Michael is a liar, has no integrity even sent his word an email honoring a particular rate, then changed it after the load was delivered I will not haul For them again
One of the best companies I have ever worked for . Treated me with respect with open door policies. To bad I have to leave . But I will definitely recommend it . If you are looking for honest respectful work environment.
Buchanan has an amazing team of hard-working individuals. It is a family owned business and treat their employees like family members as well.
Hear a lot good things about this company and can’t wait to start there
My son in law and 2 nephews work here and they love it.
The company provides well-maintained equipment, decent pay depending on dispatch, and a supportive office team. It offers flatbed, heavy haul, and dry van services.
Loads take priority over driver welfare. The company disregards requests for rest or time off, and dispatchers are rude.
A great company where drivers are valued rather than treated as numbers. Offers competitive pay, home time, and quality equipment, but driver-facing cameras remain until trucks are fully paid off.
Leadership is weak, allowing other departments to dictate company direction. Equipment is poorly maintained, breakdowns are mishandled, and drivers often wait unpaid. Resets are not compensated.
The job offered the highest pay I’ve ever earned, but I worked hard for every dollar. I left due to medical issues, and despite initially being told I was rehireable, the process kept getting delayed. Eventually, HR said I didn’t meet their requirements, so I had to move on.
Buchanan offers Monday-to-Friday schedules with weekends off, which sounds great, but operations can be frustrating. Dispatch frequently sends drivers to pick up loads that are missing or unavailable, leading to wasted time and disrupted schedules. Many dispatchers are inexperienced, relying on multiple approvals before making decisions. The pay is decent if tracked carefully, but numerous cameras and speed restrictions can be frustrating.
The company prioritizes loads over driver well-being. Rest requests are ignored, and dispatchers are disrespectful.
Drivers can earn great money, but expect extensive travel and long work hours. The company provides new equipment and good dispatch support, but last-minute out-of-town assignments are frequent
Florida-based drivers faced extreme pay cuts—from a $1,500 minimum to zero. To earn a living, they must work day and night with little sleep. The company appears to be pushing experienced drivers out—avoid applying.
The job has potential but is hindered by poor dispatch and management decisions. Equipment is unsafe, working hours are excessive, and respect for drivers is nonexistent.
Load consistency is poor, with drivers left out for weeks while completing only a few loads. Pay remains low, and drivers are forced to accept undesirable assignments.
I loved working for this company. They supported me, helped me grow, and ensured I was always taken care of.
The company misleads drivers, ignores concerns, and creates unsafe work conditions. Pay is low, and employees are treated as mere numbers.
There is favoritism in job assignments, and it appears that dispatchers may be benefiting from these practices.
Loads always come first, regardless of driver well-being. The company refuses time-off requests, and dispatch is consistently rude.
Pay is extremely low, with preferential treatment for certain drivers
The company failed to keep promises, communication was difficult, and opportunities for advancement were nonexistent. Pay was fair, but routes and hours did not justify the compensation. Despite initially being told promotions were possible, none materialized. Some managers are disengaged, simply working for the paycheck. Benefits are costly but somewhat offset. Overall, the company is suitable for those comfortable with repetition and minimal change.
Loads take precedence over driver needs. The company dismisses fatigue and time-off requests, while dispatch is consistently impolite.
A generally good company, though stressful at times. Improvements are needed, especially regarding local jobs, where hourly pay would be preferable to per-load rates.
