Whether you're in Chicago or Omaha, you can count on 'em to get the job done righ
What I love is how they emphasize safety and professionalism while still keeping that family-owned feel
For anyone seeking top-tier trucking solutions
Everyone is so friendly
I feel lucky there
TL;DR no turn signal and littering One of their drivers pulled into the turn lane ahead of me without signaling as I was approaching the light. It wasn't close enough that he cut me off, I just had to slow down a bit, so I would have let that go but then he THREW TRASH OUT THE WINDOW while waiting for the light. The truck was labelled "Model Citizen"... 2024-05-08 8:20 AM in Brooklyn Park, Oak Grove Pkwy & Zane Ave
After almost getting runoff the road by a driver and then trying to contact somebody where I can file a complaint (I understand people don’t like complaints.)I had my family in my car and we literally got ran off the road. I’m going to file a complaint. After never hearing back from anyone in the state of Minnesota or elsewhere to tell me what had gone wrong or happened with the driver. poor communication as well as management and customer service.
Had a run in with a driver ,very unprofessional. Driving in fast lane when I tried to pass he sped up, I did get past him and change lanes he the sped up again and was a foot or so behind me.I floored it to get away .He was by far the worst truck driver I have come across. He had 15 or so cars behind him when I passed him.
Nothing about the company just one driver truck #1408 on 3/1/18 on broadway NE at 5:40pm driving like hes in a car in & out of these narrow two lanes cutting off other's forceing them to stop including myself im a 28yr driver thos is the first time i felt the need to report another Driver
Company has extremely poor communication! Contract was terminated and was promised to have esgrow money refunded within 45 days and still haven't received MY MONEY DO NOT recommended working here! Dispatch manager has extremely poor communication and doesn't respond to the needs of their drivers timely, Also because he is overworked he makes mistakes on your pay and shorts you hundreds of dollars and sometimes it takes a few weeks to correct
Great company to work for.
Awesome service!
Great place to work for
I been with them for only 4.5 months it’s been great. Plenty of work to be had if willing to work. And hour’s permit.
Great opportunities for Owner Operators, Lease Purchase and Company Drivers. Solid company serving multiple midwest locations
Best company ive worked for so far you dont get micromanaged they send you the load you pick it up run it and get paid no BS at all
The equipment at this company is in poor condition. They refuse to make repairs but still expect drivers to operate the vehicles. If you're caught driving faulty equipment, the responsibility falls on you—proceed with caution.
The Joliet terminal treated me like an individual rather than just an employee. The dispatchers were outstanding—they genuinely cared. Work was always available, and the pay was consistently fair.
A good company overall, but management is lacking. The hours are long, there's no consistent micromanagement, and operations need to be more time-efficient. Managers are difficult to reach when needed and are unreliable.
The job itself is decent, and the hours are reasonable, but management’s communication is severely lacking. Messages often go unanswered, and it can take days to get a response.
A solid company to work for, but freight volume has noticeably decreased over the past year. They are highly flexible with time-off requests, and management makes efforts to keep operators busy despite the challenging market.
As an owner-operator leased to Calhoun, I truly enjoy working here. The Omaha terminal staff makes every day at work pleasant. I have yet to meet another driver who has anything negative to say about Calhoun. With 35 years in trucking, this is one of the best companies I have ever worked with. I plan to finish my career here and retire with Calhoun.
There's little opportunity to make decent money at this company. They prioritize the company’s interests over their drivers. Don't expect any holiday bonuses either. The Detroit manager only looks out for himself.
fast and reliable company to work for
Good payment
5 years and I’m very happy
great team of dispatchers, managers, and mechanics who are always there to help
feel valued
