I worked with Shelby Bishop and they were a pleasure to deal with
They have strong reputation
They're very professional and helpful from point A to B.
I'd definitely recommend them. - 5 stars
California Freight has been flexible and accommodating when it comes to scheduling and routes. They've worked with me to find solutions that meet my needs
HONEST AND EASY TO WORK WITH I worked with Shelby Bishop. We were picking up a trailer for them. When we arrived on site the trailer had an air leak which prevented us from using it. It was after 18:00 central so there was little hope of fixing it that evening. They called a mechanic in first thing in the morning and got the trailer repaired. They gave us a repair ETA that was completely accurate our driver showed up right when it was supposed to be ready and it was ready. Shelby updated the rate confirmation to extend our time with the trailer and added a layover for us. We had an issue with the trailer, yes, but this is freight and those issues are common. The response is what mattered for us. Shelby was mature, professional, and honest.
Do not book with this company. They are rude and the rate con will not have the accurate address they try to make you do more miles for less money. They lie and they will call you repeatedly and file false complaints against you if you dont do everything they tell you to do.
Bad customer service, sat 9 hours to unload and had my paperwork signed like I was told. Kevin Campbell the agent I was working with doesn’t know how trucking companies work. Do not work for these guys, you won’t get paid and you’ll be treated like garbage.
So awfull compayn Never book with them you will lose your patience garbage service Jennifer never takes responsibilty
DONT BOOK❌❌🚫🚫🚫❌ DONT BOOK ANY LOAD WITH THEM THEY ARE LIARS .! They don’t keep their words.

I HAVE A HUMBLE TRUCKING COMPANY MY NAME IS ANOY SANCHEZ AND THE COMPANY IS CALLED “CONNECTION A A & A TRUCKING CO” WE OPERATE LOADS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 YEARS, WITHOUT EVER HAVING A SINGLE PROBLEM. STARTING WITH THIS COMPANY WE OPERATE A LOAD FROM TEMPLE TX TO BROOCKCHIRE TX IN THE AMOUNT OF $500 ON AUGUST 8 AND IT TURNS OUT THAT THIS COMPANY WE DON'T KNOW IF THEY ARE A DOUBLE BROKER OR WHAT IS HAPPENING BUT THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY US WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEM WITH NO BROKER, AND BOTH THE FMSCA, THE FACTORY AND OUR INSURANCE COMPANY SAY THAT EVERYTHING IS WELL, HOW IS THEY SHAMELESSLY DOING WITH THE COMPANIES WHAT THEY WANT AFTER DOING THE WORK FOR THEM, WHY ALSO THEY HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH VARIOUS TRUCK COMPANIES, NEVER AGAIN HAPPY NEW YEAR
Gustavo Turribiarte stole money from us and the company is not doing anything to help. Be careful with this scammers.
California freight driver Bruce Brumfield is a very kind driver..he was stuck up bye chemult Oregon State while a truck and car were on fire... Bruce assisted with helping the truck driver from Fresno CA and took him to Klamath falls Oregon and helped him abtain housing for the night... Bruce is also known to be seen stopped along the highway helping locals change a flat tire...shout out to this company California Freight, Ripon California for having such awesome truck drivers...I have heard several other stories about some of your other truck driver doing kind deeds in our communities..
Worst trucking company ever. Albert Ancheta was the person that answered my call when I called for a load, I asked if the load was available and he responded with a very bad attitude and then he asked for my MC# and before I finished giving it to him he started cussing me out and then hung up on me. so don't even book with this company.
I had to give a one star because it was my only option otherwise I would have given negative stars. I worked with Albert Ancheta who is not only a narcissist but also verbally abusive. We booked a load with him and upon arrival to shippers found out that load had already been assigned to another truck. When we called Albert he told us he doesn’t know what is going on and to wait if we wanted or leave. Driver waited all night at shippers for further instructions and Albert refused to answer any of our calls or emails. In the morning Albert sent us a TONU without any explanation of what happened. He kept disconnecting our calls and finally I reached him through another number and was verbally abused by him. I would never recommend anyone to work with them. Very unprofessional. A complete time waste.

Excellent work environment good treatment and friendliness
Not a bad company to work for, though it requires a lot of hours. The employer respects you and doesn’t rush you. There are good benefits and plenty of work available. They also provide opportunities for new drivers to gain experience.
What is the best part of working at the company? Honestly, it was not a positive experience. They don’t pay for repairs or maintenance, which often takes far too long at their shop. Dispatchers are disrespectful and lack firsthand truck-driving experience. They keep you in the agricultural zone while you're in need of proper rest breaks. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? There’s very little time for rest, and dispatch schedules are overly tight. When work is slow, you may only get assignments every other day, resulting in minimal miles. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? They show little concern for employees' home lives and often speak to drivers with little to no respect. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Workdays range from 5 to 18 hours, with a lot of time spent waiting to be loaded or unloaded.
Management is strict and detached. If you value your personal life, this isn’t the job for you—they simply don’t care. I was misled to believe things would improve after training, but they didn’t. Weekends became mandatory every weekend, and my pay was reduced by $200 per week.
Out of all the companies I’ve worked for, this one stands out as the best. While other companies claim to care about employees and treat them like family, Calfreight doesn’t need to make such claims—they demonstrate it through their actions.
I really enjoy working here, though everyone’s experience may differ. If there’s one thing I’d change, it would be the pay and having a more consistent schedule.
Overall, it’s an okay place to work if you don’t mind switching trucks every night in the dairy division. The port and refrigerated divisions might offer a better experience, but the dairy division leaves much to be desired.
It’s a good option if you’re in need of a job, but the managers tend to act as if they own you. They offer little to no help when you’re trying to plan anything in your personal life.
I wish the company hadn’t lost a few key accounts when they did because I was the most recent hire and therefore the first to be laid off. The management team was excellent—understanding, approachable, and willing to assist as much as possible. Fellow drivers were hardworking and reliable, always ready to lend a hand. They were polite and treated you like family, and management shared this same familial approach. They were truly wonderful.
This is a good place to work. The job involves hauling pre-loaded trucks to milk plants and picking up loads at other dairy facilities. Shifts can occur at any time of the day. It’s a solid workplace with opportunities to travel to various locations.
I’ve had a very positive experience working for this company throughout the year. Management is excellent, the pay is great, and the benefits are solid. I’d recommend this company to anyone looking for a job.
