I would like to show my appreciation for Greg (recruiter). He is an outstanding recruiter. He was very helpful and informative. Everything he told me was spot on correct. I am very thankful that he took the time to get to know me and understood what I was looking for. I also appreciate the fact that he was honest and did not just tell me what I wanted to hear, just to get me to apply. Greg is a true asset to Cardinal..

This company delivered a mattress for Mattress Firm to us on Dec. 16, 2023. Their drivers/delivery people were terrible and damaged our brand new wooden bed. They have been unresponsive in getting the bed fixed or us compensated for the damage. I would think twice before using this company if you value your own company's reputation.

I’ve been here about 9 months now and I’m very glad to be here. Great company to be with. Glad to have this opportunity. Only exception is selling out to Ryder, but only time will tell.

I am enjoying my time at Cardinal. I have been working in the AP department for a little over 2 months now. The office is relaxed and comfortable. It allows for independent work while still giving a team atmosphere. What I love most is the respect my manager Angelo gives to his team. There is no micromanagement, just an expectation that we as adults complete our due tasks. I’m very happy to be apart of the team and look forward to growing with this company .

A better company you will not find. They are focused on drivers, which is rare for trucking companies. They pay more than fairly, treat people with respect, and do not BS around about anything.

The BEST company I have ever worked for. Micheal was very helpful with the hiring process, he made very easy for me. Joseph the supervisor is very nice and understanding, Katherine the dispatcher is very easy to work with and the co-workers are very helpful as well. Like how we all work as a team.

For Truck Drivers: Do NOT waste your time trying to work for this company. I applied for a position in April 2023. I could tell from the beginning that the communication between the recruiter (Greg), the processor (Zack), and the manager (Dan) was NOT consistent. May 18, I went in for my road test and Dan was not prepared for it. He gave the assignment to a driver that has never given a road test before. I completed my DOT physical and drug test. I told Dan and Zack that I did not want to submit my two week notice with my current employer until I was given the job and ready to transition. Both of them understood what I was trying to do. May 31, I submitted my two week notice. June 6, I had to complete a second drug test because the first was not sent in. June 9, Zack informed me that everything was completed except that they were waiting on Dan to sign some paperwork and I could start June 14. June 15, I called Zack he stated that they are still waiting on Dan. I reached out to Dan and he did not answer. I reached out to Greg and he did not answer. I drove to Dan’s office with Zack on the phone and Dan tells me that the position is no longer available. That Zack was suppose to inform me. Zack response to Dan and says that Dan was suppose to inform me. Now I’m out of a job and have to look for a new one because of this careless, unprofessional company.

The best part of the job is the reliable equipment—tractors function without issues. The most stressful aspect is dealing with worn-out trailers that need repairs and upgrades. The work environment is straightforward: do your job correctly, and everything runs smoothly. A typical day involves driving in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions.

The company is decent overall, with good pay and dispatch. However, they closely monitor drivers with cameras and enforce strict rules—no U-turns, and holding a phone can lead to termination.

The work-life balance is reasonable, but the trucks are poorly maintained and often unclean. Stick to your job without extra effort, and you’ll earn well and keep your position. Slip seating means you won’t always have the same truck.

The company cares about its drivers more than most. The job is inherently stressful since driving presents unpredictable challenges. Monthly safety meetings are held, and most managers are approachable. Expect long hours and plenty of mileage—typical for trucking.

The Home Depot account is poorly managed. Drivers must verify delivery locations, including unsafe mountain and off-road spots. Offering alternative locations often leads to questioning of drivers’ abilities. Management is rude and dismissive, but being home daily was the one positive aspect.

The Bedford, IL location starts at 4:45 AM, requiring drivers to secure poorly loaded trucks and complete 6–10 deliveries per day, six days a week. The pay is inadequate for the workload, and management ignores drivers’ concerns. Communication is poor, favoritism is rampant, and routing is inefficient. Many promises made during interviews turn out to be false.

The best part of the job is going home after a 13-hour shift. The most stressful aspect is constantly monitoring actions to avoid triggering the drive cam. Upper management could do more for drivers, but they mostly stay out of sight. The job is demanding, but that’s trucking—it’s the only way to earn a decent living.

The best part of the job is making local deliveries, with minimal time spent in the driver’s seat. Most customers are happy to receive their orders. The most stressful aspect is occasional delays due to incorrect contact information. The work environment is professional and supportive, with dispatch readily available for assistance.
