You get what you pay for, but I hope they can find a way to offer more competitive rates without sacrificing quality.

I get that trucking isn’t a 9-to-5 gig, but I hope the company can find a way to improve compensation and work-life balance. It would make a huge difference in morale!

Having spent over 6 years with them

First impression goes a far away. As a driver. I believe in respect to other drivers That are out here working as hard as I am. But employees that swap trailer's at west virginia exit 45 You are disrespectful. Grown adults acthing like young entitled teenagers. Again again first impression goes far.

9/23/2022 while driving North on I-65 in cruise control at 67 mph, CTI truck #69 merged onto the Northbound lane driving faster than me dropping rocks. One rock hit my truck 2022F350 and cracked my windshield. I tried to get the attention of the driver by following him as he exited the highway with no luck, so I called CTI, talked to Scott (?) told him the story and he said pretty much tough luck road hazard. This company takes no responsibility and should not be trusted. How is this legal?????

Had a tractor trailer rear end me on I80 in Nebraska. It was in a construction zone and a single lane. He damaged the unit attached to my RV. As I pulled off the interstate the driver drove past me. I contacted the company and they are telling me that the camera was never triggered.

A great company to work for. The pay isnt the best but layed back, no micro managing, their honest can't beat that.

Absolutely LOVE this company!!! Been here for about 2 weeks and, if you've been in the industry long, that's plenty of time to get to know most companies. This place treats you like family, the equipment is great, the staff are all fantastic and friendly, the pay more than meets the needs, I highly recommend this place :) I plan for this to be the last company I work for!!! I have been here almost 20 years. CTI is a great place to work. Great people, dedicated drivers, and top of the line equipment.

I worked for CTI and was terminated because another employee assaulted me right in front of my supervisor who did nothing to prevent this from happening and in fact instigated it. I was subsequently fired for being a victim of an assault. It happened on CTI property and I was on the clock. I was sent home without medical attention and fired 2 days later when I went to ask for resolution concerning the situation.

Was a little shaky when I first started 2 years ago, but dispatch has greatly improved in keeping me rolling as a driver. This job has become one of the best driving jobs I've had in the 28 years I have been driving. Talk to Connie. She will do you right!

My husband worked for them and was just made aware today that he was terminated and they didn’t even tell him until he called to get a load to take out. He was informed that he had to do at least 1 run every 30 days and it hadn’t even been 30 days before they decided to take him out of the company and right before Christmas of all things. They have also tried to extended him past his days almost every time that he has went out. He even called 2 days ago to get a trip and put him on a trip and they gave it to him without even checking that he even worked for them anymore. I wish I could give them a zero star. Terrible place to work if commutation is important or if you want a company to care about their employees.

For the 3rd time in a row I've had to wait in line over an hour to get fuel. When you average 2 to 5hrs of free time a day, that wait is a huge portion of your relaxation time eviscerated.

Great place to work for. Pay is good. Just don’t like slip seat. All the staff is great. Treat them the way you want to be treated and the respect will be there. Awesome company.

3 days spent out west and 3 days at home, but the trip required 7 to 8 days overall due to downtime waiting for loading at the shippers. The pay was alright, and the trucks were nice.

As a driver, I only needed to inform dispatch about my preferred working days, and they handled the rest. My main task was regional terminal-to-terminal relays, with customer interaction being optional. Relay drivers could even be home every other day if desired. There's no strict requirement for specific days or driving amounts, but failing to reach a mileage threshold results in part-time status, affecting insurance and other benefits.

This company allows drivers to choose their schedules and loads daily. Dispatch is usually friendly and helpful, though getting back when requested isn't guaranteed due to the nature of produce shipments. Repositions can include significant deadhead miles, like from Arizona to Salinas, California, even after delivering somewhere else in California. They seem to prioritize West Coast runs.

This isn’t the company to get rich as a driver, but it’s perfect for those seeking work-life balance or supplemental income. It's also ideal for semi-retirement or achieving other goals. Over eight years here, I've completed an associate's degree, a bachelor's degree, and I'm now pursuing a master's while driving weekends. They’ve been very accommodating, especially during summers when I work more. Negatives reflect my personal feelings about trucking now—it was great when I was younger, but my body can't handle it anymore. Most drivers here have steadier schedules than I do.

Overall, it’s a good company. Routes are consistent, and part-time drivers average three days on the road. There's no forced dispatch at home bases. The Springfield, Missouri office staff and shop personnel are accommodating and driver-focused.

This is a SLIP SEAT position! Drivers can take extended breaks with no forced dispatch. Trucks are maintained by company shops, with no-touch freight and no need to refuel yourself. Regional positions cover three western states, and most resets are at home, with a maximum of four days out. Trucks can be swapped at the yard, and they'll clean them upon request. Downsides include issues with dispatch and payroll. It’s challenging to net $1,000 after deductions for 70-hour weeks. You’re not paid for sitting, even for a full day, unless detention exceeds 32 hours. Layovers aren’t reimbursed. APU limitations and worn mattresses add to the discomfort, particularly in Arizona heat. The culture isn’t stressful unless you need to maximize earnings.

The company sends drivers to unwelcome locations, treats them poorly, and has slip seat trucks with bed bugs. It’s not a great workplace.

There's considerable downtime on the road. While dispatch isn’t supposed to be forced, they will push you to work when driver shortages arise, which is frequent.

The job left no time for family, friends, or exploring new places. Meals were mainly fast food, canned goods, or microwaveable options. I wouldn’t do it again—my health deteriorated and hasn’t recovered even a decade later.

Traveling to new states and meeting people was the most enjoyable part of the job. I initially took this job to conquer my fear of eighteen-wheelers after a traumatic accident. I overcame my fear, got trained, and worked almost a year before a medical emergency took me out of the truck. Upon being cleared to return, my manager terminated my position.

OTR work is demanding anywhere, but this company’s strong communication and effort to minimize stress stood out. They offered excellent pay and benefits. I left only for a local driving opportunity.

It’s a good place to work as long as you’re punctual and not overly particular. Unfortunately, vacation pay requires maintaining 8,000 miles monthly. Dropping below this for two consecutive months leads to temporary driver status, forfeiting vacation pay and resetting your eligibility.

Drivers are responsible for deductibles in accidents, even when not at fault.

Slip seat operations are standard, and equipment maintenance is solid. Drivers are frequently home but don’t get mileage bonuses. Western routes, including Minnesota, are paid less, and the company seems to aim at reducing driver pay.

It’s a decent place to work with fair pay. While I’m happy here and treated well, I’m considering additional weekend work for extra income.

I genuinely enjoy working here—they take excellent care of employees. ♥️
