Viessman Trucking has welcomed me into the fold with open arms. Management is open to new ideas, flexible and friendly. Also, I see everyday that managers and dispatchers truly care about the drivers and mechanics. It's a company I can be proud to work for, which means a lot to me.
Cliff Viessman Trucking is a great place to work! They have the best atmosphere and so very understanding when it comes to life and family. Flexible schedule and always very accommodating. Could not choose a better company to work for.
Excellent company to work for. Staff are helpful and the company rewards hard work and great performance. Management always went far beyond my expectations. They provide a great variety of opportunities in a large number of locations - allowing movement as desired.
Great place to work , very family oriented and they work around your schedule!! Love working here
Pay is based on the number of loads hauled, so the more you move within your available hours, the higher your earnings. My dispatcher was fantastic—I wish they’d take me back. Best tanker job I’ve ever had, with no forced dispatch, which is a big plus.
I haven’t been here long, but my experience has been positive. My dispatcher is great—though not always quick to return calls, they’re always open to discussing any issues. Some older drivers can be grumpy, but most I’ve met have been incredibly helpful. No vacation incentives, but if you need a day off, there’s no pressure. Request time off in advance, and they’ll accommodate without issue. Overall, I’m happy here and have no plans to leave. No trucking company is perfect, but the Viessman family genuinely cares about their employees. I feel completely comfortable reaching out to one of the Viessmans if needed—how many companies let you call an owner directly? Here, you can.
Pay is based on a percentage of revenue—solid earnings. Earning close to $100,000 per year is achievable with hard work in a regional truck. No forced dispatch—you work when you want, and time off isn’t an issue. Equipment is modern and reliable, though not the most high-end. Fleet includes Volvo, Freightliner, International, and Kenworth trucks, with plenty of day cab work available. Respect goes both ways—treat them well, and they’ll do the same. My dispatcher has never lied to me in seven years, and I’ve always been honest with them. Detention pay kicks in after two hours, and I’ve never had to fight for it—it’s always paid. Full benefits, solid employee insurance, monthly safety bonuses, year-end bonuses, and profit sharing. I’ve never felt like just a number—many in administration and the chief operations manager know me by name and are always open to discussing concerns. I personally get home every Saturday for a reset. Vacation pay isn’t great for hard workers—it’s a flat weekly rate, about half of what you’d make working a full week.
