My husband and I are team drivers and we love this place! The money is the best we have ever made and if you like to make money this is the place to be! We get a new truck every year, and they maintain their equipment very well! Mr Dillon is an amazing boss to work for and almost everyone there in the office have all been drivers. We have been here 3 years and this is where we will retire! We love Dillon!
Family owned business that genuinely cares about their truck drivers. People are more than just a truck number here. Great benefits and bonuses as well. They also maintain the equipment very well! I enjoy working here
Dillon Transportation is a very professional company to work for. They have excellent benefits and their equipment is top notch. They treat their employees with respect. I guess the only way to sum them up, is that they treat you like family.
Best company ive ever driven for. Pay,equipment, and staff are the best.....miss working there.
I just recently left Dillon Transportation to try my hand at being a lease operator. Dillon avoids the lease purchase and you can not blame them. Believe me I wish they did. Dillon Transportation was a very hard company for me to part ways. From the shop, dispatchers, recruiting, safety, and management they are all amazing people. They know your name and they care if you are happy. You owe it to yourself to contact them. Not all companies fit with everyone, but I believe Dillon would be a good fit for any driver that is willing to work hard and be reliable. I can not wait to have my truck paid for or get a truck the traditional way, because I will do all I can to get back to Dillon Transportation. Chad Feeser
It was good for my husband to get to see some of the drivers it was uplifting for him afterward the morning he had
The people who run this company do not care about you, they will lie, lie, lie to get you to do something they need done, like most OTR companies they think once you are out on the road, they have you. Something always comes up when you are suppose to get home and they really need you to pick this load up for them, they don't have anyone else that can get it. They keep you away from home for weeks, spending your own money to live out there and then pay you maybe $800 a week like that is good money for being gone and living out of a truck and truck stops. You can make that and more being home nightly, and OTR companies wonder why they can't find or keep drivers.
Definitely my favorite place to work. The owners really value their employees & drivers for their hard work and dedication.
People here are great! Very friendly..like a family!
I drive for Mr. Dillon and can honestly say that I have never worked for a better company. From dispatchers to the people in maintenance - top notch!
I work for this company and love my job. Best place I've ever worked. Great people and equipment. LOVE MY JOB
I used to drive for them. They expect you to be able to get in at 430 pm and be gone at 2 am for a load pick up at 2 am and an hour and a half or maybe 2 hours away. Have to be able to flip the switch and sleep after you get in. And deliver the load on time. 10 hour breaks is all you get. Have to drive all hours of the night and day. Wait for loads that are not ready to pick up. Or late getting loaded.care more about the customer than they do they driver.
Sometimes I would run four thousand miles a week working here (solo). They have a terminals in Ashland city Tennessee and Kingsman Arizona. They move freight all over the place between NC and California, a route into NYC, teams and solos. They pay well and the ten cents non tax really needs up the paycheck. I enjoyed working here until I didn't, it felt like no one ever really listened to what I had to say and I couldn't get any consistency so I moved on.
Training was helpful in getting ready to haul hazmat loads safely and with getting the needed credentials. The people I worked with including management and the mechanics were easy to get along with and really made a person want to get up each morning to go to work.
When you are not working you draw unemployment paid Magagement great Work place culture like family The hardest part of the job is shift change The most enjoyable are the small company meetings
One of the best companies I’ve ever worked for as a company driver. The only reason I stopped working here is to chase my personal goals. Other than that if I didn’t have any personal goals with this trucking industry then I definitely would’ve retired here. No Bull****
Loved this position, ran Team with my wife, got tons of miles up to 7800 Team, Dedicated Run from Ashland City Tn to Kingman, Az. Company gives Teams a Brand New 10 sp Freightliner every year, awesome place just got to old to run those miles Team, An amazing place for a young Team who want to make Big $$$
This company met every need. I enjoyed the routes. The shop guys were always on it when it came to servicing the trucks. I also loved being able to fuel at both terminals. Management is amazing - they keep you rolling 99.9% of the time. Oh and the pay is great, as a team driver. I literally have no complaints.
We worked here for 15 years, things changed greatly over the years many because of government rules and regulations. Very nice place to work, management cares about employees. Benefits are good. There has been alot of work here, Drivers are expected to fill their log books, Follow the rules.
They don’t believe in quality time at home. They run their drivers to death, and your home life and family do not matter to them. The GM is heartless when it comes to home time. Be prepared to put company above your family. No way to live.
I do not recommend this company because its trucks are very old, with 6-speed automatic gearboxes. On countless occasions I lost up to 4 hours waiting for a truck to be assigned to start work. The yard when it rained was a huge quagmire.
Management doesn't train you due to insecurities for their employment. The only good thing is free lunches on Fridays. The Owner is not aware of what really goes on. Only what the main 4 Managers tell them. The Managers look down on you when you take earned time off. It's not reported that you take work home, on vacations and earned time, or that you work overtime.
I've been driving for Dillon Transportation for more than 5 years. It's a great place to work! If you like a smaller company that cares, give Dillon Transportation a call. I can't speak for everyone else but only for myself and what I see. The drivers are friendly and most are willing to help when you might need it. The dispatchers and even management have done nothing but treat me great! You get plenty of miles, good home time, with and now with a new pay increase, more money for my retirement fund
