The most stupid and the worst company in USA. They sallary is so low, dispatch are not availed when u call them and u wait to take a container 6 h without payment. Don't come in this stupid company
Awesome team over there!! Great used trucks for sale also!!
Excellent service. Helped me get my emissions test without delay!
Purchased a conex box from them. Purchase price and delivery fee were very reasonable. Delivered exactly when requested.
This Company has too many restrictions on their behalf! Found out that its not mandatory for them to have Cameras inside of their trucks unless they had a bad reputation in the past! Too many accidents perhaphs. Soo to me that camera facing inside of their truck is not mandatory they choose to put it on for their fun! Professional drivers if you like your privacy then this Co is not for you. I went to orientation and safety comes up with a dumb rule that if that truck goes over 73 mph they will automaticly write you up! All because of that camera monitors the speed and triggers the G sensor. No wonder they are short on drivers! Well drivers im not letting my great reputation get ruined by a inside camera that is invading my privacy! 👎
Owner operator for sister company 4GEN awesome company very organized and very fast dispatching also great equipment!
Extremely disappointed conversation with Julie about a possible safety job. She had a bad attitude and was very lazy in explaining things. I asked what the expectations and experience needed was. I told her what I had and she said “well I’m the safety manager and I don’t need anyone here to take my job”. Just a very rude let down, honestly made me feel bad about myself with how she almost talked down to me. I really respected this company until then to. I never got the chance to drive there, only because I never had to. After dealing with Julie I’m absolutely glad I never did. Just a very terrible toxic person to speak with.
I am with Hoogwegt US, a customer of Duncan and I can say they always do a fenomenal job. Kaitlynn Hemmel is a rockstar! They are always pending of when ports are open to receive cargo, and I’ve never had an issue that is not properly handled by them. Best part is the invoicing, always accurate and never additional bogus charges. Definately a good company to work with
A great family owned company! You are treated with great respect and importance from management to the driver on the road. it's not hard to see why Duncan has been in service for over 75 years!
Duncan and Son Lines is a great company to work for. The managers are very approachable and have an open-door policy like no other company I've previously worked for. When drivers call in to speak to upper management, they take the call or call the driver right back. I have seen this on several occasions. Drivers are important to Duncan and are treated with respect not as just an employee. We are on a fist name basis not a truck # or department. It's a great feeling to see and hear managers and employees talking and discussing the day to day, work, family and financial advice. You too may want to consider becoming a, like Steve our COO says, A Duncanite!
35 years in the job market and I'll have to say that Duncan is one of the best places I've ever worked. I appreciate a company where the management is approachable. They listen to their employees, and take their comments and suggestions seriously.
I recently started working at Duncan Trucking and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. The team is friendly and supportive, and the work environment is welcoming. From day one, I felt like an essential part of the team, and my contributions were recognized and appreciated. The management is attentive and open to feedback, making it easy to communicate and collaborate effectively. I appreciate the opportunities for growth. Overall, I'm grateful for the opportunity to work here!
I have worked for Duncan and Son Lines for 4 years now and I couldn't be happier. They have always been so supportive of my goals and my desire to expand my knowledge in all departments. I work with amazing people. The culture here is very much like you're working with your best friends/family. If you're looking for a career in the trucking business, Duncan and Son Lines is the place for you!
What a great Place to work and Grow. They have helped me grow professionally by providing Classes through Star 12 program, teaching me a verity of skills. The management team is supportive and with its open door policy they are easy to work with. The hours, location, and benefits work very well for my life. Is truly they best Job I have ever had.
As an employee I've been having a great time learning about the trucking business and have been enjoying the work environment very much! If you want a family oriented atmosphere, Duncan is the place for you!
Duncan is, by far, my favorite place to work. Duncan values its employees, values work/life balance and values communities. Lots of companies talk about these values, but Duncan has consistently proven that these values are deeply engrained in the culture.
Great company I just don’t like the favoritism. Other than that, best company I’ve ever worked for and I’ve never seen so much money in my life.
Great company to driver for. I highly recommend them. Running the ports Phoenix to long beach, ca. Great home time flexible schedule. Weekends off. Good competitive pay.
What is the best part of working at the company? Nothing I just didn't like there work ethics What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The pay wasn't great at all so I quit working for them
Great company to work for. Management and dispatchers respect the drivers. Equipment is newer well maintained . Duncans safety department is very professional.
No issues with the company. Great home time, great pay and benefits ! Plan on staying here for some time. Hate the waiting list but not an issue if I am at home waiting for my next load out.
Everyone in the company is there for its drivers. This company really shows that it is the drivers that make a difference and work with you no matter what situations you might have arise. Great working atmosphere, this is my first cdl job and I don't think I ever see myself leaving.
you are given lots of opportunity to learn and grow with an excellent pay potential for safe production. Very friendly and supportive team around their drivers.
Job is good in it self. Equipment is great as well. Economy and wages are spiking here in Arizona, but the trucking industry will never go up. The best trucking company to be with hands down. There is no other trucking company like Duncan and son lines. The owner of the company drives as well. You don’t see that in any other company. It’s a good company to stay and retire, if you plan on driving your whole life.
Duncan is a great place to work but the ports are stressful and there are companies out there that do the same thing and pay more and have better benefits. Trucks are governed at 68 mph and they have Freightliners, Kenworth and Internationals and they are supposed to be getting Peterbilts.
Great and knowledgeable staff in every department. Safety and upper management are very in tune with drivers. They do the best they can within the constraints of trucking.
I've only worked for Duncan for 2 months and was not impressed. The lack of communication over the weekend was what sealed the deal. I'm not new to trucking but Sometimes I had questions that needed answers. Also I am not a yard hostler. Expecting me to move 6 containers just to pull out one is not something I am willing to do without extra compensation. I do not care how many other drivers do it. That being said, Duncan does have great drivers and they were very helpful.
Stay away. They are really good at cheating people. If you decide to work here after reading this, then I feel sorry for you. This was one of the worst companies I have ever worked for. They are really good at pretending to care but they really ran a good con job on me. I can usually spot a good con job but I missed it.
Good place to work. Company knows the ports in the LA Long Beach area very well, the ports work with Duncan and Son lines. They treat their drivers goods. Typical day get live loaded in and around city of Phoenix, sometime out in California where other places. Take load 2 Port for an inbound. Then you may pick up an outbound container to come back to Phoenix or other destinations. Normally out one dayand back home the next. Worst thing about the ports sometime can get backed up and can take hours to get your load off and you next load on. A good day you can get in and out within 2 hours.
Mileage pay needs to be higher but other than that its a great place to work. My DM is a great guy to work with. If you want to work they have the work. When service is due for the truck they get it in at that time. When they find things during the service they make sure it gets fixed and if its going to take a day or two they have loaner trucks for drivers to borrow until your truck is done. The hardest part of the job is being away from home and driving in CA. Most enjoyable part of the job is Friday when you have a hard week and you get a good paycheck then it doesn't seem so bad. We are treated very well and are respected from management. Overall, company is an excellent place to work
Owners were great guys. Staff was professional. Dispatch wasn’t a hassle. Very understanding and generous people. Good home time and time off. Pay and benefits were good. Best company I’ve worked for. Left to help a friend as an owner operator. Would go back in a heartbeat
Ports suck .some trips really suck at the ports, other trips are in and out easy. Usually live loads on trip to port. Drop and hook on trip back. Dave Duncan is a good owner. 6 years working hear and you can speck out your own truck. Chose your color and options.
Great company with nice people, but, working the ports is completely unpredictable. Sometimes you're in and out under 30min, sometimes its 6 hours. If you, and more importantly your family, can handle it, Duncan is a great company.
Worked here for about 2 years and would still be there if I didn't have to relocate to another state for family reasons! The Ports are definitely not an ideal working situation but the company was great the benefits keep getting better all the time! Hopefully I can find a good company like Duncan where I am going
Streesful very long hours past dot mandatory hours because of the ports, no parking, negative environment drivers & port employees a**holes...........
I am fairly new to Duncan and Son Lines. With that said, in the little time I have been working here, I have seen without a doubt that everybody here cares so much about what they do. The management in all departments take care of each and every person and really shows they care. In my first month here, I was invited to the annual company picnic, and the Spirit Team has organized a team bowling event coming up this May. My dispatch team is nothing but willing to assist me with any question I have and help with any dilemmas I may run into. I never feel like I am inconveniencing anybody and that means a lot. I've heard personally from drivers that they feel heard, appreciated, and taken care of in every way. I know, it definitely sounds like this is a perfect company to work for but nobody is perfect. They recognize there are areas that have room for improvement but they are consciously working to better those. All in all, if you're looking for a thriving fast paced company to work for, Duncan is for you.
Duncan and Son Line is a nice place to work, nothing bad to say. The ports is a hectic place to work and must not be taking lightly. Overall great staff, dispatch, and the owner is super helpful.
If only you got 3 turns a week and made your monthly bonus. If only the dispatchers were more experienced. If only those small things were true it would be a good place to work dispite the boring drive to and from LA CA. If only there was an option to build more then 3 turns a week and make more. But, it's just not there. Too many people leave. If paid what they said they would when hired you would not see this kind of turn over. If only you could get home on your home nights before 9pm 3 out of 4 weeks a month. If only, then it would be a great place to work.
