Based out of the Southeastern United States, East-West Express is a family-owned, refrigerated transportation company, operated by the best drivers and staff in the industry. We take pride in the fact that experienced drivers all across the country choose to Drive for East West Express. There’s a reason why we have one of the highest retention rates of any regional competitor. We’re not all smoke and mirrors, like other trucking companies who try to lure away good drivers. In fact, not only does East-West Express have high retention rates, but the percentage of Team Drivers who come back to EWEX after trying a rival company is astoundingly high. We have more established, million-mile drivers than any other regional competitor.

Good business. Never had a problem with the equipment
You're gonna be treated with respect
My dispatcher is super nice 💘
The guys in the shop are amazing.
We get a shower at the terminal, full kitchen, and even a hotel with great rates near by that accepts pets
Another driver that thinks it’s fine to park on the pumps, go inside, take her break while parked on the pumps and too lazy to pull forward to allow other drivers to fuel and go. Highly unprofessional and inconsiderate. Edit to answer the response… the pic I posted has the truck number….
I was a company driver for about 5 months, the experience was not the best. The weekly pay is decent if you are just going based off the check,(expect very low pay from Nov-Dec (“slow period”)) but in order to get a decent check this company will run you in to the ground. The safety guy Adam told me and my co-driver about another team that ran off the road because the driver did not get enough sleep. I am almost certain the dispatchers were basically forcing them to run there butts off, because we experienced that exact thing where our DM made it seem as if we would be reprimanded for declining a load for example if we needed less than a day to shower, make food, rest, etc. after we had been driving our butts off. We (my co-driver and I) have been driving for a while with a perfect DMV record, so we know when to get out of a company with poor safety practices. On top of everything the safety guy admitted that this company doesn’t care about the employees/drivers. Michael Schuler will have you the driver sitting at the yard in GA with no pay if you are late to one of their big accounts. Overall a 1 out of 10 with this company, I’ve driven for companies like Swift, JB hunt, FedEx, etc. and East-West is by far the worst company to driver for.
Was my 1st time in Jackson Mississippi and picked a popular local Southern style buffet. Met two wonderful lady truckers from your company who overheard I was from Florida, they too were from Florida. We had a good short convo and as I was getting up to leave the waitress said sir someone already paid for your dinner. I wonder who… 😎
Best company that I’ve worked for laid back employees and my dispatch is super nice
I usually don’t write reviews on things but I honestly got to say that East-West Express is by far one of “THE BEST” trucking companies I had the pleasure to drive for. I wanted to wait at least a good 90 days of employment before I left any kind of review. This company treats their drivers well. My wife and I team drive and we love it here! I have 18 plus years of driving experience and she has 2 years of experience. We have driven for a couple of companies—and we feel that we found the best! We both feel like part of a “family”. They keep us rolling as much as we want. The equipment is top notch! The system they have in place is great and keeps you rolling and not a lot of sitting time. The pay is great! The bonuses are easily obtainable and are great! We just love being treated with respect and more than just a truck number! We look forward to our future here at East-West Express! If you are considering to drive here—I would definitely give them a try.
My husband and I are team truck drivers. We work for this company. It's a family owned business. We love it here! Great equipment, nice travel lanes, no North East or upper mid west. Everyone is kind and respectful. A big shout out to the guys in the shop! They do an amazing job to keep us running smoothly!
Me and my husband started with east-west almost 6 months ago. We love it here! Our dispatcher is top notch. The lanes are great. Its the most money we have made in our trucking career. We dont plan on going anywhere else. Benefits after 6 months we cant wait for the sign on bonus(not sure if they are offering to new drivers currently) they have a shower at the terminal, full kitchen so you can cook a meal while your truck is getting serviced. They have a hotel with great rates near by that accept pets and they have personal parking for your vehicle.
I just went through orientation and everyone was awesome! Adam is an awesome person he makes sure you are ok and have everything you need and need to know!!
I been with this company 1half years. I love it!! Had my license a long time and finally found a great company to retire at. Great safety team, driver managers and staff!! Pets welcome like family. Great equipment and the pays not bad either! Come drive for us!
Just like to say thank you,it was hard for us to leave, but our. daughter has a adenoid cyst on the middle of her brain.Saw so beautiful places with my husband, it was hard cuz It was leaving family.
These guys are amazing, great group to work for. It's the best, they could use more room, lol. Oh and for all the drivers that take advantage of things need to be more thankful for these guys.
It’s a good place to work. But my biggest complaint is I wish the upper management would have more time to talk to the drivers. To help keep lower management on the right track. But all and all a petty sound company good people great shop
Orientation was great. Dwayne in recruiting was awesome. He made sure all my paperwork was in order and correct. Adam made sure class was fun. He was very thorough with his answers. He kept us laughing but at the same time made sure we knew what was needed to know. Even offered to answer questions if needed once I got on the truck. Thanks
My husband and I was hired here at East West Express around three weeks ago and so far we have had a great experience. The orientation was outstanding, Adam was awesome, he went in detail about the Company and it gave us a good understanding of what to expect. We are blessed to be here. John and Lisa Cook
My partner and I just started with east west express. So far it’s been great. Adam is very knowledgeable and gives the best orientations. Looking forward to being with the company that I can retire with.
Awesome company to work for. I enjoy coming to work every day here.
Me and my wife have been here for 7 months best company I have ever worked for my wife quite nursing after 14 years to come drive teams with me. If you want to make great money and work with some awesome people this is the company for you.
The trucking industry has its ups and downs, but I genuinely love this company regardless. The trucks are brand new, and the salary they offer is excellent. To me, this is an 8/10 company.
They provide quality loads and keep you earning consistently. The atmosphere here is fantastic—I would definitely recommend this place for teams. They have outstanding dispatchers and great lanes for running.
A lot of the dispatchers are inexperienced and have never driven trucks, which is noticeable. The load planning, at least for regional routes, is poorly organized. However, the trucks are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable.
We've only been here for a few weeks, but so far, the pay has been satisfactory. The policy for gone time is well-structured. While the trucks are slightly below standard, this is likely due to pandemic-related challenges. The DM is excellent.
The communication, care, and collaboration between drivers and management to achieve common goals are practically non-existent!
There is too much downtime and far too many multi-stop pickups. The company tends to micromanage drivers, and you are required to schedule your own pickup appointments. The management is poor overall.
It's a good place to work with friendly and helpful staff. However, the main terminal is currently too small to effectively accommodate more than 145 tractors and trailers.
The work atmosphere is pleasant, which is rare in the trucking industry. The safety personnel are upfront and honest about the company and their expectations of employees.
If you work in teams, this environment is fantastic. There's never any concern about getting miles or sitting idle—you'll always be on the move. After a month of working here, I think this company is ideal for team drivers.
I enjoyed working here. The benefits were good, pay was weekly, and I consistently got decent miles. We stayed out for 6-7 weeks before taking home time. They promise 3 trips to California and back with 6 days off, but they really prefer drivers not to take time off that quickly. They push you to work hard!
