Our drivers are the best in the country, and we make every effort to treat them as such. We know you have family depending on your paycheck, and we want to make sure we are transparent and honest with you, so you feel secure and can focus on driving, not worry about bills. Paycheck previews give you the chance to have a sneak peek to your next paycheck, and if we mess up, we can work together to catch (and fix!) mistakes before payday. When we make more, you make more! Percentage pay means you benefit too when we get increases from our customers! What about after you stop driving? We hope you take advantage of our solid 401k program that sets you up to keep on living after you’ve taken your foot off the pedal!

Use to work there 8 yrs.ago excellent safety.Shawn!!! Excellent equipment.excellent loads.excellents dispatch... beautiful retirement company.. trying to come back aboard... Robert Schillings is down to earth and actually walks out in field of shippers and customers...might want to watch the P's and Q's.
RUN!!! RUN!!! RUN!!! THEY WILL STRAND YOU NOT BUY YOU A BUS TICKET HOME!!!! Absolutely horrible company!!! Safety supervisor Sean connely acts like he’s getting you a training then NO TRAINING JUST TERMINATION/ HE SAYS NO RESIGNATION BECAUSE HE ALREADY FILED PAPERWORK!!!! Doesn’t know anything about driving he just likes to look like he is doing his job to the airhead higher ups!!! *PAY: all over the place!!! Paid by the load you will do the exact same run and the load will jump 200-300 in pay I have the paycheck stubs to prove it. Just ask. My smallest paycheck was 300 for one week my biggest was 1980 but that’s because it was break down pay. *EQUIPMENT: breaks down every other week. I was there 5 months my truck broke down 3 times in that period!!!! First time for 4 weeks I only got paid for 2 weeks of it. *DISPATCH: I was on the Kaiser account Newburgh Indiana to FT Dodge account. I was promised $1,700 a week. COMPLETE LIE!!! Like I said pay was all over the place the only time I went over even made $1,700 was when I was broke down. Just ask I have all my paycheck stubs!!!! Will gladly leak them!!! *Managment: DJ Ball and safety terrible communication they don’t say anything!! You have to seriously dig for information to get any kind of response from anyone!!!
It is a really good place too work, dispatchers are professionals. And they are friendly. Easy too talk too. And they work with you on anything you need. Either switching postions, as a driver. And whats really important is they really put family first. I had a family problem, and they took care of my needs too be there for. My family. And the covered my runs .
Used to work here, one of if not the best company I worked for. Dispatchers always did what they could to help with all situations, probably would have never left had I not moved to an area they don't hire from
. 27percent pay on each load loads r 550 but have to drive 600 miles to pickup and deliver 1250 load paying but 2 to three days to any appointment miles 400 to 500 smh I hope they make a mistake and hire the right one to expose them
Got me in quickly to service and repair skid steer. Great communication and friendly. Definitely recommend
January 2024 I will be starting my 6th year with the company. I couldn't ask for a better company to work for. I have had several driver managers and they all have been great. The same goes for all of the office staff. Should have made the move to f and s long before i did.
I tried working here in 1997 in Operations - I was there for about a month, they had very poor technology and (2) Ops guys that felt more then a little threatened by having a new guy there amongst them trying to learn and train. The Ops Manager whom hired me was terminated at my one month mark and I realized it was only a matter of time for me to be leaving as well. Judging by these newest reviews there is still no loyalty to employees at this very mediocre trucking company.
Driver almost ran me off the road on 30W. Definitely shouldn't be driving a semi. Very dangerous! Had my toddler in the car with me.
I now work here at this family oriented place and so far so good. I'm able to take my wife with me if she wants to go. Pay bills and do extra. Get home when I want to. Main thing is communication. Communication is the key.
This company is actually amazing. They will go above and beyond to make sure their drivers are prepared physically and mentally to be able to have the tools for success in the trucking industry. They have the best training and safety team that a driver could ask for. Their management and planners are very in tune and they all have multiple meetings to make sure they stay on top of their business so that they communicate through their chain of commands and they are able to pass it down to their drivers and execute their loads properly. Shout out Dan rhule Nikki, Pete , Mike p. Dan and Shaun and all the maintenance and shop managers. And their orientation instructors Bryan , Robbie , they know their equipment. Mitch. Mike b. Tiki and Matt. All great people. A must company to retire with.
Great company worked their 2yrs no complaints only reason I quit was I love running the west coast . They got me longer runs when they could. The owner and his boys are super nice people and if you need time off for personal reason you take it and they will only check to see how you are doing not when you are coming back to work
.42 cpm a $7,000 deductible on insurance , $100 a week insurance. They deleted my comments on facebook and blocked me because i posted the truth. They are good people, but cheap. Wont make good money at all. And when you realize that and quit, return the truck in great shaoe and they still will take 500 out of last check. 9 drivers quit out of my class.
Terrific company to work for! They definitely take care of their drivers and treat you like family. I’ve been here for a year now and they have done so much for me and have helped me out in many ways! They even sent flowers to my grandmothers funeral! Words can’t even describe the relationships you can build here and the people you get to know! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a forever company!
Worse company I ever drove for, soon as geico gets the video from my accident I will upload to YouTube and a video of Mike poze in a safety meeting 🙃 and let you all decide car passes me on right I have to go to emergency lane because of a truck coming into my lane made contact with another vehicle that was passing on shoulder I was terminated, My lawyer is gearing up Morgan & Morgan Nashville tn Wrongful termination If you have been fired for something that wasn't your fault and with in the last year give them a call.
So far I am in love with this company. The recruiter kept it straight with me and told me the good and bad about the company but there is definitely more good than bad. Pay is great and so is the home time.
Fraley & Schilling is one of the few family-owned companies of its size still in operation. Everything I was told during onboarding turned out to be true. I can’t drive past another Fraley truck without waving or helping each other out. Communication could use a bit of improvement, but that’s always the case somewhere. I’d definitely recommend it to those wanting to learn flatbed trucking. They’re great about getting you home when needed. The only reason I left was to take a local job with good pay.
I worked here for six months, lost my dedicated load, and they didn’t make an effort to find me local work. They let me go with no notice or severance. Horrible experience—poor communication and no regard for the drivers.
I like the company, but I’m looking for a day cab position so I can be home every night. They do offer day cab jobs, but there aren’t any available near where I live. If you enjoy live loading, I’d recommend this job.
What’s the best part of working here? Stability—work is steady and pay is reliable. What’s the most stressful part? Heavy loads and occasionally tricky delivery spots. What’s the company culture like? It’s your typical trucking company with top-notch safety protocols! What’s a typical day? It really depends on the trip and the area you’re working in.
A lot of time spent sitting and the pay rates are low. They use brokers rather than securing their own contracts. They’ll send you to a location, not tell you the load was canceled, and then you end up waiting all night for a new load—wasted time.
This was a great company that took care of its drivers. However, in recent months, I’ve gone through four different driver managers. The quality has declined, and now there’s no communication. It’s unclear who to reach out to for help. The equipment is well-maintained, but things have gone downhill recently.
Where do I even begin? Let me paint a picture: In the summer of 2020, I was ready to quit trucking after only two years. The pay was low, there was no work-life balance, and I felt disrespected by my previous employer. But when I saw a Fraley & Schilling truck, I decided to give flatbed trucking a shot. Best decision I ever made. This company is built on family values and it’s rare to find that in today’s world. They genuinely mean it when they say “you’re a name, not a number.” I used to joke that I felt like my last name was Schilling because of the way they treat you. The management is transparent, and everyone is approachable. Even if you’re new to flatbedding, their training program is fantastic. Instead of getting lectured from behind a desk, there’s a network of drivers who are on-site with you at the same shippers and customers. They’ll stop what they’re doing to guide you through the process. You never feel alone. The paid time off is generous and easy to use if you need a day or two at home. They have a unique approach to business that helps them serve their customers by handling larger loads, which translates into more money for drivers. With the move to percentage pay, you can see exactly what the truck is making on each load and estimate your take-home pay. The equipment is well-maintained, and they expect you to treat it the same way. If something’s wrong, they want you to speak up. Safety is a priority. I never felt like anyone was hovering over me. Conversations with the safety team were always fair and transparent. They don’t want to fire you—they want you to make it home safely every week. Overall, this was the best trucking job I’ve ever had. My decision to leave was purely personal, and I’d recommend this company to anyone. They’ll work as hard for you as you do for them.
Great company and great people. I left twice, only to realize this is the best place to be. They always get you home when you need to be, and I’ve never had an issue with getting paid. Just an overall fantastic company.
It’s a good company to work for, but if you want to make good money, you’ll have to stay out on the road for a while. Most of the drivers are great to work with, and dispatch will generally work with you when it comes to getting home time.
I’m so glad I came back to Fraley & Schilling. The people here are great, the pay is better now, and there are more opportunities to be successful. Plus, they have newer equipment and the chance to be home every week.
I plan to finish my truck driving career here at Fraley & Schilling. This company is a perfect fit for me because it lets me set my own standards and goals. The management is always willing to work with me, and my coworkers are great. I truly enjoy working here.
I joined Fraley & Schilling with high hopes, especially being part of the Conestoga fleet, and looking forward to being part of the "family" here. The first year was tough, but the pay made it worthwhile. Fast forward a year, and it’s been even more challenging, and my pay has dropped by over $600 a week—not per month, per week. I’m still driving an average of over 2800 miles per week, but now I’m mostly getting low-paying loads at 50 cents per mile. Preplanned loads are rare now, and I used to visit Alcoa or Newburgh once a week, but that’s not the case anymore. With over 25 years of flatbed experience and 3 million miles driven, I take pride in my job, but it’s getting harder to stay. I’m parked in Ohio with no load, and despite calling in three times today to find out my next load, it seems like I’m not a priority anymore. I suspect new hires are getting better loads, which might explain why last year was so much better for me. I’ve voiced my concerns to dispatch and the terminal manager, but it seems like nothing changes. I had planned to retire here, but now I’m not sure.
What’s the best part of working here? The work environment is amazing, and the people are fantastic. Dispatch is top-notch, and the garage/maintenance team is excellent, with a strong focus on teamwork and service. What’s the most stressful part? The only real stress I’ve encountered here is occasionally waiting in long lines at the scale. What’s the company culture like? The company is family-friendly and welcoming. They really value feedback and are always looking to ensure their drivers are happy. What’s a typical day like? I start my day at Kaiser in Newburgh, IN, around 7 am. After weighing in for my empty weight, I go to the back building for loading. Once loaded, I strap up, get my final outbound weight, and head off to my destination, usually in St. Louis or Missouri.
Great group of people and well-organized initially. I really wanted to love working here, but I felt like I was often overlooked. It could be difficult to get ahold of someone when I needed help, but there’s a chance to earn good money if you’re willing to put in the work.
There’s a huge lack of communication, and the orientation process is lacking. You end up learning from other drivers. While the job offers flexibility and good pay, the mechanics are understaffed.
