Our drivers are the best in the country, and we treat them accordingly. We understand you have family members who rely on your salary, and we want to make sure we are open and honest with you so you can feel secure and focus on driving rather than worrying about payments. Paycheck previews allow you to have a sneak peak at your next paycheck, and if we make a mistake, we can work together to detect (and remedy!) errors before payday.

In 1955, Earl Schilling, a farmer and WWII veteran, grouped up with his friend Jack Fraley. They first started by bringing in farm equipment on a flatbed trailer near Indianapolis. With a lot of hard work, they succeeded in expanding the business to about 25 tractors. In 1981, Earl’s son, Robert Schilling, took over. Robert was well-prepared for the role due to his experience as a driver, mechanic, and dispatcher.

Use to work there 8 yrs.ago excellent safety.Shawn!!! Excellent equipment.excellent loads.excellents dispatch... beautiful retirement company.. trying to come back aboard... Robert Schillings is down to earth and actually walks out in field of shippers and customers...might want to watch the P's and Q's.
RUN!!! RUN!!! RUN!!! THEY WILL STRAND YOU NOT BUY YOU A BUS TICKET HOME!!!! Absolutely horrible company!!! Safety supervisor Sean connely acts like he’s getting you a training then NO TRAINING JUST TERMINATION/ HE SAYS NO RESIGNATION BECAUSE HE ALREADY FILED PAPERWORK!!!! Doesn’t know anything about driving he just likes to look like he is doing his job to the airhead higher ups!!! *PAY: all over the place!!! Paid by the load you will do the exact same run and the load will jump 200-300 in pay I have the paycheck stubs to prove it. Just ask. My smallest paycheck was 300 for one week my biggest was 1980 but that’s because it was break down pay. *EQUIPMENT: breaks down every other week. I was there 5 months my truck broke down 3 times in that period!!!! First time for 4 weeks I only got paid for 2 weeks of it. *DISPATCH: I was on the Kaiser account Newburgh Indiana to FT Dodge account. I was promised $1,700 a week. COMPLETE LIE!!! Like I said pay was all over the place the only time I went over even made $1,700 was when I was broke down. Just ask I have all my paycheck stubs!!!! Will gladly leak them!!! *Managment: DJ Ball and safety terrible communication they don’t say anything!! You have to seriously dig for information to get any kind of response from anyone!!!
It is a really good place too work, dispatchers are professionals. And they are friendly. Easy too talk too. And they work with you on anything you need. Either switching postions, as a driver. And whats really important is they really put family first. I had a family problem, and they took care of my needs too be there for. My family. And the covered my runs .
Used to work here, one of if not the best company I worked for. Dispatchers always did what they could to help with all situations, probably would have never left had I not moved to an area they don't hire from
. 27percent pay on each load loads r 550 but have to drive 600 miles to pickup and deliver 1250 load paying but 2 to three days to any appointment miles 400 to 500 smh I hope they make a mistake and hire the right one to expose them
Got me in quickly to service and repair skid steer. Great communication and friendly. Definitely recommend
January 2024 I will be starting my 6th year with the company. I couldn't ask for a better company to work for. I have had several driver managers and they all have been great. The same goes for all of the office staff. Should have made the move to f and s long before i did.
I tried working here in 1997 in Operations - I was there for about a month, they had very poor technology and (2) Ops guys that felt more then a little threatened by having a new guy there amongst them trying to learn and train. The Ops Manager whom hired me was terminated at my one month mark and I realized it was only a matter of time for me to be leaving as well. Judging by these newest reviews there is still no loyalty to employees at this very mediocre trucking company.
Driver almost ran me off the road on 30W. Definitely shouldn't be driving a semi. Very dangerous! Had my toddler in the car with me.
I now work here at this family oriented place and so far so good. I'm able to take my wife with me if she wants to go. Pay bills and do extra. Get home when I want to. Main thing is communication. Communication is the key.
This company is actually amazing. They will go above and beyond to make sure their drivers are prepared physically and mentally to be able to have the tools for success in the trucking industry. They have the best training and safety team that a driver could ask for. Their management and planners are very in tune and they all have multiple meetings to make sure they stay on top of their business so that they communicate through their chain of commands and they are able to pass it down to their drivers and execute their loads properly. Shout out Dan rhule Nikki, Pete , Mike p. Dan and Shaun and all the maintenance and shop managers. And their orientation instructors Bryan , Robbie , they know their equipment. Mitch. Mike b. Tiki and Matt. All great people. A must company to retire with.
Great company worked their 2yrs no complaints only reason I quit was I love running the west coast . They got me longer runs when they could. The owner and his boys are super nice people and if you need time off for personal reason you take it and they will only check to see how you are doing not when you are coming back to work
.42 cpm a $7,000 deductible on insurance , $100 a week insurance. They deleted my comments on facebook and blocked me because i posted the truth. They are good people, but cheap. Wont make good money at all. And when you realize that and quit, return the truck in great shaoe and they still will take 500 out of last check. 9 drivers quit out of my class.
Terrific company to work for! They definitely take care of their drivers and treat you like family. I’ve been here for a year now and they have done so much for me and have helped me out in many ways! They even sent flowers to my grandmothers funeral! Words can’t even describe the relationships you can build here and the people you get to know! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a forever company!
Worse company I ever drove for, soon as geico gets the video from my accident I will upload to YouTube and a video of Mike poze in a safety meeting 🙃 and let you all decide car passes me on right I have to go to emergency lane because of a truck coming into my lane made contact with another vehicle that was passing on shoulder I was terminated, My lawyer is gearing up Morgan & Morgan Nashville tn Wrongful termination If you have been fired for something that wasn't your fault and with in the last year give them a call.
So far I am in love with this company. The recruiter kept it straight with me and told me the good and bad about the company but there is definitely more good than bad. Pay is great and so is the home time.
One of the few companies still around that is family owned and of a larger size. Nothing said to me during onboarding was a lie. Can’t pass a single Fraley truck on the road without each other waving or helping each other. Communication could have been a little better but what communication can’t be better. Would definitely recommend for people wanting to learn flatbed. Great at getting you home when needed. Only reason I left was for a local position making pretty good money for local work.
Worked 6 mos lost my contract load made no effort to find me local work let me go with no notice or severance. Horrible place, no communication and don’t care about drivers
I like it here just want a day cab job so I'm home daily.. they have day cab jobs bit where I live there aren't any spots available. I would recommend this job to someone that likes doing live loads
What is the best part of working at the company? Stability noting work will be consistent and your getting paid consistently What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Very heavy loads and sometimes sketchy delivery places What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Regular trucking company basics with ALL the bells and whistles of safety!!!! What is a typical day like for you at the company? Depends on the trip and the area being traveled in
Whole lot of sitting and the rates are horrible and they use brokers instead of getting their own contracts they dead head u to a place and don’t tell u the load canceled before u get there and u have to sit all night and wait for another load waste
Been great company that looked after it's driver's. Past couple of months I've been through 4 DM's. The quality of the driver managers have gone down hill. There's no communication, you have no clear understanding on who to contact for any situation. They take care of their equipment. Good company until recently.
Where to start? Where to start? Let me paint a small picture for you. Summer 2020 I was ready to get out of trucking just 2 years into the field. Low pay. No quality of life balance, I felt no respect from the people I worked with at the time and one day I saw an F&S truck and thought I’d give flatbed a chance and it was truly the best decision I’ve made. A company built on family values in an age where everyone says “here you’re a name not a number” they truly mean it. I joked often about feeling like my last name was schilling. Very transparent management team. No one is off limits and they are always there for your concerns. Even if you’re new to flatbedding the training you receive is great and they have a much different approach for mentorship than other companies. Instead of talking to someone behind a desk about how to secure something. Theirs a network of drivers who are at the same shippers and customers as you who will drop everything and walk you through it. I never felt alone. Paid time off if generous and theirs no red tape to jump through if you need an extra day or two at home. They have a unique approach to the business that you’ll notice right away which allows them to serve their customer base better by shipping larger loads which in turn means everyone’s favorite thing. $Money$ It’s there for the making with the move to percentage pay. You know what the truck makes each dispatch and you can figure what you’ll take away with it as well. Equipment is big investment for the company the trucks are well taken care of and serviced regularly as well as the trailers however they expect you to do the same in return and ask that you’re enough of a professional to speak up when something isn’t right. Safety is a cornerstone of the company as well. I never felt like I had anyone looking over my shoulder and any conversation I had to have with safety with transparent and fair. They don’t exsist to find reasons to fire you they want you to make it home every week. All In all I’ll say this was the best trucking job I’ve had. My departure was 100% personal and I’d recommend them to anyone. They will work as hard for you. As you work for them. End of story
Very good people to work for left twice to find out this is the best company they get you home when you need to be home. I've never had any issues receiving my paycheck either. Just a great company 100%
Pretty good to work, but to make money you will stay out for a while. Overall most drivers are good to work with. Most dispatchers will work with you on your home time.
So glad I came back home to f&s really great people to work with. Better pay now. opportunity to be successful here and newer equipment plus I have the opportunity to be home weekly
I’ll finish out my truck driving career at Fraley&Schilling. This company is a perfect fit for me because they afford me the opportunity to set the bar for myself plus the I can say I enjoy working with my coworkers plus the management here will take time to work with me and help set plans in place to achieve any goals I would like to make Once again I love this company
I came to F&S with high hopes, being part of the Conestoga fleet, and looking forward to being part of the F&S “family”. My 1st year with the company was a constant challenge but the pay made up for many of the struggles. Fast forward a year…. it is even more of a challenge and a struggle and my pay has dropped well over $600 a week, not a month, a week. I’m still driving an average of over 2800 miles per week. I constantly get 50 cpm loads, I may get to Alcoa or Newburgh once a week. I used to get preplanned loads, now almost never. I have over 25 years of flatbed experience, well over 3 million miles. You would be hard pressed to find someone with more flatbed experience than me at F&S. I’m a professional, I take pride in my job and enjoy being a flatbedder. It is getting tougher every day to stay here. I’m currently parked in Ohio with no load. I called in 3 times today to see about the next load, I am proactive, but it’s obvious I’m not ever on anyone’s radar. I don’t have proof but it’s obvious the new hires get preference on loads, maybe that’s why last year was a much better year for me. I have talked to dispatch and the terminal manager about my concerns, but everything I’ve said seems to have been pointless. I had planned to retire here, drivers like me are hard to find. Safe, reliable, dependable, serious, professional, courteous.
What is the best part of working at the company? AWSOME work environment and people to work with. Disbatch is A #1 and the garage/mechanics personnel are top rated while great team service oriented. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? I have not experienced stress working with Fraley & Shilling except every once in a while you will wait in a long line at the scale. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Family friendly and welcoming. They always ask for feedback. They want to know if their workers are happy. What is a typical day like for you at the company? I haul out of Kaiser Newburgh IN. So my day starts there when I arrive at about 7 am. I get on the scale to get an empty weight, then proceed to the back building for loading. Once loaded, I finish strapping and then head to the scale for my final outbound weight. Then on my way to my destination in St Louis or Missouri.
Very friendly group of people and was pretty organized at the start. I would have loved working here but I felt like I fell through the cracks a lot. Could be very difficult to get people on the phone or getting things straightened out, but opportunity to make great money if you're willing to work.
Huge lack of communication, poor orientation, u have to learn from other drivers. Very flexible in work days and pay is very good. Mechanics are understaffed.
