The Gary Amoth Trucking narrative was launched in 1983, beginning with just one truck in Twin Falls, Idaho. Gary set out as a driver with a mission to improve a company centered around his philosophy – do the right thing… all the time. One truck transformed into two, and then two into four – eventually growing to a fleet of approximately 160 trucks. In the beginning established in agricultural hauling, Gary Amoth Trucking now crosses multiple industries, boasting a wide-ranging fleet of trailers and equipment to accompany almost any type of driver or load.

If they're gonna make all these promises, they gotta deliver.
Gary Amoth Trucking's got some high standards, no doubt about it.
Some of us just wanna drive, and get home to our families, and you will get that here
I highly suggest them to anyone, but do your own research and make an informed decision.
I transported two of their semi trucks back to PACCAR in Salt Lake City, UT. Everyone I encountered was very courteous and knowledgeable, and their trucks were super clean. The shop area is well-maintained and nicely organized.
Worthless they blocked fuel island at loves for 40 mins asked nicely to move up so we could finish fueling he was to busy getting coffee! Per fuel card one transaction per stop so we couldn’t finish. Again we asked nicely and loves asked repeatedly to move truck and park in a designated parking spot
Cory at Gary Amoth Trucking has been great to work with. Once made aware of the details of an incident, he was quick to work with me on a resolution. Thank you Cory.
I had an accident with one their trucks and was kind of bummed. But, the owner called me, heard me and was very kind. Thank you Gary.
I consider it an honor to provide Gary and his crew service work on a fleet he takes so good care of. His drivers all speak highly of him and the customers of his I have met have nothing but praise. Great Idaho Company!
Driver swerved off the road and drove down the shoulder throwing rocks all over my vehicle, cracked the windshield and turn signal on my mirror, Cory said the truck just got new tires and didn't have a trailer so that's why it happened, after admitting it happened he then told me not his problem. I am going to be pursuing this further, I already have a call into ISP about it.
Very rude. I would never do business with this company. Driver of truck 206 in Nampa plates ZJ 9569 parked his truck in the middle of the road exiting an apartment complex blocking me from leaving with there being no other exit. I tried to pass on the side but I didn’t want to do damage to either vehicle so I asked him to please move over. He rudely refused and continued to just sit there doing nothing. I was able to move my car by within an inch of his truck. No reason for him to park right at an exit/entrance when there were other places for him to park. Very unprofessional making it so difficult to for me to exit with worry of insurance needing to be involved while he just sat doing nothing not even working just in the way. With his attitude I would not doubt him ripping you off without a care.
Recruiting is rude, "Cory" I've had a CDL 21 years with No tickets, No accidents, worked 9 yrs consecutive with 3 companies and was a trainer with one of them. They said they would not consider hiring me do to not enough recent work experience. Cory laughed and hung up on me! Rude! I had covid-19 in 2020 and was in and out of the hospital for 6 months. They are missing out on a great driver!
Yeah I'm giving this Trucking Company one star. One of their truck drivers driving through Centralia just changed lanes suddenly several times without warning or even safe distances while driving thru the centralia area. This trucking company is definitely putting them self in a dangerous situation if those are the types of truckers they employ. After watching him perform these insane maneuver several times, as we were passing him he tried to get into our lane while we were clearly along side of him which required him to get back into his own lane at which time he stuck his arm out of the window gesturing to us like somehow we were at fault for not getting out of his way. Considering he's pulling a trailer and within 5 feet of other Truckers we have watched him now for the last 8 Miles continue to do aggressive Lane changes to get around the traffic in this area. Well everybody is doing 70 miles an hour already he's trying to exceed that limit. In the time it has taken me to use voice recognition to post this review he has made several other lanes changes and is doing one again right now.............BEWARE!
This company is great!! Great people go out of their way to help their drivers!! Awesome company!!
I have had Amoth running Maxi loads for my company for the past 5 years. They do a great job for us (Sunpro)! They are professional, they keep their word and they go out of their way to make sure the job gets done. I enjoy working with their maxi team, David and Tony know their stuff! It is nice to have such a good transportation company have your back in times or uncertainty.
My husband works here. Gary Amouth is a family man. He treats his employees like family. He keeps his trucks updated and safe. His office staff is a great source of information. Fern can find out anything you want to know. Great place to work.
A great place to work! Gary is one of the best! Employees and spouses are treated like family!
This company beats any company in idaho theyare truly a good company and know how to respect a driver and are awesome to work for !!!!
Good company to work for but if you get hurt they will do there best to destroy you my advice is don’t expect them to do the right thing they don’t care about you just the bottom line I got a lawyer Immediately and I got taken care of I know a person who thought they cared and he got hosed don’t trust Gary our his office trolls you and your family will be homeless lawyer up here our anywhere you work there is no such thing as a caring company these dogs are only looking out for them selves
I love this trucking company, its nice to come to an establishment where you can get to know everyone and they actually care about you and your family, they pay great and have several options of trucking, come and see for yourself or call them up , why? Great attitudes for real
Great place to work, the people are the best & the equipment is the newest & most driver friendly Ive ever operated.
I drive for Gary Amoth Trucking I've been a driver for 21 years. There would be no other guy I drive for he's respectful towards the drivers and treat us like a family. And the dispatchers are to..
Great company I have been with Gary for 5 years and the dispatchers are awesome I would recommend them in a heart beat
Gary Amoth Trucking truly embraces a family-oriented culture. When my wife was diagnosed with cancer, they went above and beyond to support us, even though I had been there for less than a year. You genuinely feel like part of the family here.
This is the best job I’ve ever had. Gary is a great person, and everyone here is highly knowledgeable about the trucking industry. The work schedule is mostly Monday through Friday.
Both yard locations have excellent repair shops, with mechanics who are efficient, timely, and always ready to assist. However, the work environment can feel a bit cliquey, and the pay for dry-van drivers is on the lower side.
At Amoth Trucking Company, you’ll be treated with care and respect, fostering a strong sense of family and friendship. The equipment is clean and modern, and they are always willing to help if you run into issues. Dispatch is reliable, keeping drivers busy while ensuring they get home on weekends. In my opinion, this is one of the few trucking companies left in the Valley that still upholds old-school values.
Gary, the owner, is an incredible person to work for. He maintains an open-door policy and is always willing to discuss any concerns. The equipment is kept up to date and in excellent condition.
This company was a great place to work. The dispatchers were helpful, though occasionally challenging to deal with—just like at any trucking company. They promised weekend home time, but it was limited to 34 hours, which is standard in the industry. Overall, a great company, and I would consider returning if I decide to drive again.
Great people, an outstanding shop, and top-tier equipment. Trucks are fully outfitted with studio sleepers and chrome. Work is guaranteed, with weekend resets at home every week. Fuel, showers, parking, and a truck wash are all available onsite.
If you’re not part of the inner circle, don’t expect fairness. There’s too much drama, and taking time off for a doctor’s appointment is difficult. It feels like the company expects everything to revolve around them.
I had a positive experience here and would likely still be working if I hadn’t injured my shoulder. The owner knew all the drivers by name, and both co-drivers and office staff were easy to get along with.
After nearly 38 years in trucking, I could work for almost any company—but this is the one I choose. At 65, I’m looking to slow down and transition into part-time work.
A good place to work with great pay and benefits. However, it wasn’t ideal for family life, so I decided to leave.
