My Uncle is a driver for Groendyke. I can see not only from him, but his fellow co-workers and counterparts that they are a great company to work for. I wonder if they have an IPO on the stock market?

Great company with exceptional values. Not many trucking companies can hold a candle to GT...especially since they are in the refine industry. See what I did there? lol Seriously though, if you are looking to drive for an exceptional company, make good money and not worry about trucks breaking, then go to Groendyke. Tell them Stephen Powelson aka Husky Racer sent you. I am not an employee, but used to be one!

It's a serious job for serious and responsible people. If that's not you, look elsewhere. Otherwise, there were good people that worked there, good equipment, and were building some nice new terminals. Overall, its a good place to work. No place is perfect.

Liers and theif don't pay you can't get anything from management and constantly robbing your pay and constantly getting lie after lie trucks are not late model and constantly slip seating you and corporate office doesn't care about you except for robbing your pay work for free

With the exception of the Tampa Maintenance Manager, the company and people in the company are absolutely outstanding. Best trucking company that I have worked for. Overall, the Tampa terminal is among the best in the company.

Overall, I'm glad I spent the three years at GTI. It was my first real trucking job, I (usually) made good money, got to travel all over, and got experience hauling a wide variety of products. However, the company as a whole leaves much to be desired. Things were a lot better several years ago, it had a sort of small company feel. Then, they began a period of rapid expansion, buying two other tank carriers, and soon after, just about everything started going downhill. The health insurance is awful, despite how much they try to play it up. Of course you have the lowest premiums in the industry, you have garbage plans with 6-12,000 deductibles. But, if you don't need insurance and want to run hard, and don't really need much by way of support from the company, you can make a lot of money here - ESPECIALLY if you team drive.

Only their favorite drivers get work. Equipment is ok. The shop is slow to get trucks and trailer fixed. Driver facing cameras. Safety bonus is ok if you get it.

Things changed when I started the previous driver manager was more helpful and laid back but new management is more strict/ micromanaging and do everything by the book but will chew your butt for something you won’t aware of…if your truck breaks down you will be truck hopping every other day changing truck and trailer often and that gets annoying and if you miss a workday due to sickness or PTO you will be REQUIRED to make up for it Stay away from this place and choose another better company

What is the best part of working at the company? Not the bst option for me. Wouldn't refer afriend, for sure.. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? They play favoritism and treat you like children. If you rub them wrong way, they'll pull your money payload, and give to you a lesser paying load.WTH.. Headache, ceappy loads, non paying loads, even when they have good loads, certain drivers get them, you in turn get less paying loads
