Always great to visit other GTI terminals and meet more the great people who make this company phenomenal!!!
My Uncle is a driver for Groendyke. I can see not only from him, but his fellow co-workers and counterparts that they are a great company to work for. I wonder if they have an IPO on the stock market?
Just checking it out. A friend is going to work for them. Very good company. Was very impressed with the company.
Make deliveries here. Nice people.
First time meeting with the GT team. It was a good experience Talking with Amanda, and Matt.
Best job I've ever had.
Everybody was extremely professional very caring and understanding very knowledgeable
I'm going to work there
Great company with exceptional values. Not many trucking companies can hold a candle to GT...especially since they are in the refine industry. See what I did there? lol Seriously though, if you are looking to drive for an exceptional company, make good money and not worry about trucks breaking, then go to Groendyke. Tell them Stephen Powelson aka Husky Racer sent you. I am not an employee, but used to be one!
Good Company to work for.
A great place to work
Great people and company I'll go back working there
Great Company to work with!
It's a serious job for serious and responsible people. If that's not you, look elsewhere. Otherwise, there were good people that worked there, good equipment, and were building some nice new terminals. Overall, its a good place to work. No place is perfect.
Liers and theif don't pay you can't get anything from management and constantly robbing your pay and constantly getting lie after lie trucks are not late model and constantly slip seating you and corporate office doesn't care about you except for robbing your pay work for free
With the exception of the Tampa Maintenance Manager, the company and people in the company are absolutely outstanding. Best trucking company that I have worked for. Overall, the Tampa terminal is among the best in the company.
Overall, I'm glad I spent the three years at GTI. It was my first real trucking job, I (usually) made good money, got to travel all over, and got experience hauling a wide variety of products. However, the company as a whole leaves much to be desired. Things were a lot better several years ago, it had a sort of small company feel. Then, they began a period of rapid expansion, buying two other tank carriers, and soon after, just about everything started going downhill. The health insurance is awful, despite how much they try to play it up. Of course you have the lowest premiums in the industry, you have garbage plans with 6-12,000 deductibles. But, if you don't need insurance and want to run hard, and don't really need much by way of support from the company, you can make a lot of money here - ESPECIALLY if you team drive.
Just ok. Not long enough to give an informed decision on the good and bad aspects of the job. More interested in regional than over the road. Looking for more home time
Only their favorite drivers get work. Equipment is ok. The shop is slow to get trucks and trailer fixed. Driver facing cameras. Safety bonus is ok if you get it.
What is the best part of working at the company? Flexability in scheduling, excellent manaement What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Driving in Phoenix traffic situations What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Employee friendly with a stable
What is the best part of working at the company? The terminal was in the city I live in What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Dispatch dispatch there’s a lot of favoritism that goes on with their dispatch What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Overall, it’s got a good culture, but Dispatch is very favoritism for certain drivers What is a typical day like for you at the company? Picking up and delivering and arguing with Dispatch about where my next load is going to be and why I don’t have a load and having to sit for over a day just to get one load
Top of the road pay especially for being home daily. Promote from within before outsourcing. As long as you follow their policies, especially safety you will retire here.
What is the best part of working at the company? Groendyke is a great company to work for. Very safe and professional with well maintained equipment. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Company is stress free when you fallow SOP ( Standard operating procedures). These SOPs were developed over years in business. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? You are responsible for yourself. They do support you whenever you need help and have questions. New hire training was very good. When your ready and they send you on your own you are very comfortable. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Plan the day with paperwork. Pre-trip your equipment head to load your truck. Greet Customer unload product. Post-trip your equipment. Finalize paperwork. Very straight forward. Your loads are always read for next day. Loads are planned 5 days ahead.
What is the best part of working at the company? Support from office admin and dispatch What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Electronic logging device. Always racing the clock. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Supportive and helpful, always improving. Listen to needs and concerns. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Dispatched on a load. Get it done
Things changed when I started the previous driver manager was more helpful and laid back but new management is more strict/ micromanaging and do everything by the book but will chew your butt for something you won’t aware of…if your truck breaks down you will be truck hopping every other day changing truck and trailer often and that gets annoying and if you miss a workday due to sickness or PTO you will be REQUIRED to make up for it Stay away from this place and choose another better company
What is the best part of working at the company? 12 hours of work only getting $144 They do not pay well for the runs/ Loads What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Doing dangerous work and not getting paid decentLy. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The company is good with respect, but they have the mentality of good old boy.
This is a great place to work. Great management and great drivers. The only negative thing I have to say about them is their insurance is expensive but other then that great place
What is the best part of working at the company? Not the bst option for me. Wouldn't refer afriend, for sure.. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? They play favoritism and treat you like children. If you rub them wrong way, they'll pull your money payload, and give to you a lesser paying load.WTH.. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Bad, they micro manage you to extreme, no matter how good you are, .. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Headache, ceappy loads, non paying loads, even when they have good loads, certain drivers get them, you in turn get less paying loads
As all in the trucking industry it has its off and on season. I was Local,so home every night. Pay was decent took a hit a time or two cause it was slow. Dispatch, terminal manager, shop, to the tank wash it was all good.
Plenty of work to keep me busy and very good oay. Nice equipment and management is very understanding and accommodating. If you’re looking to further your career check them out in Wichita.
