Every company has its flaws and I’ll just leave it there. This company has been great the 6 months I’ve been here. No negative settlements, home when I want to be, and great communication between my dispatcher and I. If I need something done it is taken care of in a timely fashion. The only draw back I currently see is that the wait time to be paid for layover and detention is ridiculously long for no reason. I’m still waiting on things dating back to four months. Other than that good running lanes and customers.

You hear all this negative about this company. Yes some of it is true but 90% is false me and my wife was homeless and had nothing we was broke and starving and they took us in like family and helped us thru it and have started to get us back on our feet. They have amazing recruiters and dispatch. They so have good pay if ya willing to run

Bad company to work for if you have payments and young family at home. Good if you are single or grown family.this company will go into saying that if a driver doesn't make it, it is because they are not doing what they are supposed to, but the truth is that their dispatchers suck as well as the people around them. I was losing about a day and a half after a delivery waiting for a load, and when they gave me something, it was a short run load, but it would waste 2 days to run 500 to 600 miles and again day and a half for the next load .they will send you to pick up loads at places that will take up to 25 hours to get you loaded or, in my case, was 36 hours and the dispatchers will not tell you this in advance nor you will get and waiting time money .you will start with an ok paycheck, but as the weeks come, the more you work, the more money they will get deducted .like I say, it's good for a single or old person or someone that does not care about ever see family.

Amazing outfit to work for, everything the owner said it was as long as your willing to work!! No company is perfect, only issues I would fuss about the is the home office parking lot is a dust bowl, not on-site truck wash/ trailer washout and communication within the office.

I be been with hurricane express for bout a month. I've been driving for 18 years now and worked for a few companies they all have good and bad stuff it's all up to the driver and their preferences on how they run and what they will and will not put up with. But in my experience I like it here they are straight with us except for the communication part they could be better but with all the people coming in for orientation I can see why. But I have no complaints here and would like to further my career here and make it my forever home. Ken Manville truck 413221

Hi, I am a 4 1/2 yr Hurricane Express driver. As a driver of Hurricane Express I take pride in my experience here. To the great looking trucks, good miles “2500-3000 a week” and just as great pay, to the great staff and drivers that make up the company. I will say Hurricane is not for everyone, but should you decide to work here I am confident that you will succeed. This is truck 475121 signing off and hope to see you on the road. Have a safe one! .

FANTASTIC COMPANY If you are willing to work and want to make money, hurricane express is a great place to grow. I have been a truck driver for 30 years. I have been a lease operator for almost a month at Hurricane Express. They are very family oriented and treat you as such. They are more than happy to help. They listen to any concerns or complaints and quickly respond & resolve any issue you are having. Transportation to the 3-day orientation was simple. The orientation was not stressful at all. If you want miles, this is the place to be. During orientation they were very informative and helped me understand what I needed to do to be successful. Their equipment is very nice. I have had no issues. My truck came with a 35 inch smart TV,microwave, fridge and mattress. The size and storage capacity is more than enough. They have top lease/purchase Peterbuilt fleet, start in a 2018 or newer and a brand new 2021 or 2022 579 with 18 speed manual and 1850 torque X15 in your colors within 90 days or less. Absolutely no one makes it easier or more profitable to try a new job!

Been with hurricane since 2022, Hurricane has done an awesome job in supporting me and my goal to own a truck and business. Very helpfull and encouraging every step of way. If looking to be in a lease purchase that actually pays on constant this is the place to be, you have to remember it's your business it's up to how hard you work to earn your pay. And business takes hard work and sacrifice, but hurricane is behind you 💯 You will not be disappointed

It works out when you know how to fuel, trip plan, and use cruise control. Like any other company, there are quirks, but effective communication resolves most problems. One can't operate like an employee and expect to reap the benefits of a boss. You have to OPERATE AS A BUSINESS OWNER!!! That means controlling your costs!!! A trucker doesn't make money sitting at home. This is a no money down and no credit check situation. That in itself is a blessing. I'm out here making money. Success requires sacrifice. Fortune favors the bold! My radio handle is Cruise Control. Ask about me!!! #Top1% #0547 #Pete567 #GrayGhost

What is the best part of working at the company? The trucks purchased for your use are nice looking. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Everything you are ever told is a lie. If you sign it it's half true. If it's sent to you, it's only to get you to orientation. They charge back EVERYTHING. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Management is full of misinformation. Coworkers nice, when they have freight it's nice checks. Minimum does not mean minimum, actually means maximum. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Run full clock out, urged to do 64 no more. Even with 70+ on pedal. Penaltized for running full throttle.

What is the best part of working at the company? The trucks were pretty, 18 speed petes. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? NO COMMUNICATION! the recruiter didn't tell me it had inward facing cameras and lane control stuff. Orientation was a joke, you didn't get anything really useful like emails or ext to talk to breakdown or logs. Oh and totally FORGET TRYING to get to drivers advocacy NOT HAPPENING AT ALL! And that 2000 a week guarantee pffft! When you get a load with Bronx for a receivers address I don't care if it's getting sold as you go across or not when a driver asks for an address JUST GIVE IT TO THEM! Oh an the stationary 5th wheels can't get to the load locks barely get to the lines to connect. Causes the APU to overheat what a joke. They talk a good talk ill admit that but the walk is a drunken stumble. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The people are super friendly. The company needs a complete overhaul to become a truly awesome place. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Drive it at 65 use every minute then sit for 2 days but inorder to get your guarantee you must put in 2800 miles a week.

If you value your time and want to actually make money DONOT goto hurricane they are a bunch of scammers and they lie terribly they have so many law suits they had to move from one state to another the company falls under 5 different companies and 4 different owners so that he can try to avoid lawsuits because they will make you want to sue for sure. I wish I could petition for this place to be shut down

Fair pay and a decent work/life balance? Nonexistent. Expect to be out on the road for a month at a time with home time discouraged for drivers, and expect to have to fight for two weeks to get a single day off for office employees.

What is the best part of working at the company? Nothing...just nice trucks to drive What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Sitting & waiting for a load after getting unloaded What is the work environment and culture like at the company? What is the best part of working at the company? Nice equipment trucks fully equipped for the road. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Long road requirements to stay on road at least 4 to 6 weeks out with short home time. And high amount of truck fees taken from settlement no fuel surcharge given What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Bad communication between office and driver. Towards the end when fuel went up the price of produce came down and then I was sitting waiting on live loads so that effected my miles if you like being out on the road. Great place to have partnered withas a lease purchase operator. After having my own small company and selling equipment prior to Covid I chose to lease purchase. Having completed leases at other companies I knew what was entailed. However, Kaedon Steinert as managed to put together a winning combination of equipment and pay. With the help of knowledgeable professionals in the office to ensure you stay loaded, cant go wrong. My communication with driver manager couldnt be better. I operate my with driver managers on my side to ensure that i am not only profitable but still get hometime. Speaking of which when communicated in timely manner it goes smoothly. Even on occasion when a situation arises and i need home short notice they have worked hard to make it happen. If a person has the desire and drive to be successful owner operator Hurricane Express is great place to help you achieve that.

So far having a great experience here, plenty of miles and great lease purchase opportunities. Truck run great and the fact we can get work done at our yards for free or fair price is a plus. The option of choosing between 3 truck models is nice to have, especially with having the option to to customize the truck to your liking.
