In an industry challenged by unpredictability and change, IMC is leading the way with innovation, throughput and truck capacity. But we got there the hard way. Starting as a regional drayage firm in 1982, patiently putting together a national network, leveraging local expertise, and building a technology infrastructure that simply moves containers faster. At IMC, we are a family company. We know the happiest truck drivers are the ones who enjoy a healthy work-life balance. IMC encourages you to work hard, but also to spend time with your family, on your own schedule. At IMC, we do more to invest in you. We cannot offer the best in transportation without hardworking, dedicated drivers; you move our business forward.

Everything runs smoothly and on schedule with them
Versatile, reliable, and can tackle any challenge
Their drivers are some of the friendliest folks you'll ever meet – always ready with a smile
With them, you always know where your shipment is.
Just really cool people to work with, which makes the whole experience even better
One of your drivers tired to run me off the road. Truck # 1894 on US 1-9 North Truck. I had to move to the shoulder so that we wouldn’t collide.
Appt. 3pm arrived at 1.30pm loaded and out gate at 2.30pm. 42,850lbs and perfect loading no need to slide tandems. Will definitely load there again. You guys rock !!!!!!
Too much wait time
Security was nice but no one could help me find my box. Location wasn't recorded and not even hostler working in the yard helped. Only 1 star just for the security team that was nice.
Guard shack very nice brother. Loader is nice and fast. Check in lady very nice
Very nice quick and easy for pick up huge place they will escort you
Guard shack very nice brother.
Loading office have a super bad behavior and attitude.Refuse to answer customer's question and just hand up the phone. She even yell at the customers by that. I would not choose these company again, If I have a choice.
The ppl were nice but they take very long to load.
Incredible company. Goes out of their way to service their clients.
Do not work for this company, $27K in unpaid trucking invoices and not resolving or answering emails its been over a year. These guys are crooks.
Johnathan has ruined the overall driver experience for the heart and soul behind the company's success.. the driver. Recently, a driver had a run to the big mill in Columbus MS and the driver was held up by the shipper by 8hrs. The driver was not able to deliver the load to NFS, due to hours of service. The driver ended up having to bring the load back to the yard, per DOT hours of service. The following day this driver returned only to be advised he had to take the load to the NFS without being paid for it. That's ridiculous!! What happened to this company in the last 3-4yeara?? I'm hearing too many stories of veteran drivers being taken advantage of lately. I'm writing under a different account, as I am a dispatcher myself in the Memphis office and I'm trying not to risk my job here. I feel so bad for these drivers.. pathetic.
Great company, even better work environment! Nothing but positive things to say about IMC!
Great place to work! Love the people and the culture!
This is an incredible company with incredible people!!
Poorly maintained equipment, ineffective management, and lack of communication. If you start working here, you'll regret wasting your time.
Owner-operators made decent money, especially during the COVID boom, but business has slowed down like everywhere else. However, they keep drivers busy with work.
One of the lowest-paying jobs—working 12-hour shifts might bring in just $200 on a good day. They switched to percentage-based pay, but there’s barely any work, and what little they have only pays $25 per move. This is why drivers left. Avoid the Channahon location—they make false promises of $1,500 weekly, but in reality, I struggled to make $600 a week despite working five days.
Best part of working here: Flexibility—you can come in whenever, as long as the job gets done. Most stressful part: Nothing really, I enjoy the work. Work environment & culture: I just get my dispatch and start working, so I can't say much about the culture. Typical day: Running up to Ashdown, AR, and back.
So far, things are going well. There have been slow periods, but business seems to be picking up this summer. When I started in May, it took time to understand their workflow, but I’ve become more comfortable.
Everyone watches the cameras. Easy work with decent trucks, but anything said on the cameras is open for everyone to see. Good pay and benefits—more applicable to divisions 13 and 9.
Great job and laid-back management. Runs typically range from 250 to 300 miles round trip. The downside? You have to share a truck, and your driving partner might be lazy—so good luck!
Best part of working here: Not much—mostly just the other drivers. Most stressful part: The low pay and how the company is managed. Work environment & culture: Didn’t really notice any culture, just a lot of work. Typical day: Driving a truck owned by someone else and making money for them.
The people here make the job enjoyable. Teamwork is great, leadership is strong, and the work environment is well managed.
So far, so good—freight is slow, but they make sure you still earn. The dispatchers here are better than at other companies I've worked for.
What worked for me may not work for others, but I loved working at IMC. They treated me with respect and gave me opportunities to grow. Forever grateful for the experience.
The pay, the pay, the pay—it’s frustrating how low it is considering the long hours. If this were an hourly local position, it could be a top carrier. The advertised salary is misleading—the net should at least reach $1,100 weekly.
Owner-operators earned well at times—especially during COVID—but things have slowed down. Still, they keep drivers busy.
You can find higher-paying jobs, but this company is honest and reliable. Dispatch is friendly and won’t pressure you into taking loads. They have a retention specialist who quickly resolves any issues.
The pay wasn’t what I expected—low. However, work-life balance is excellent. Couldn’t stay with the company due to truck maintenance costs. Equipment is decent for container hauling.
Don’t apply here! They will change your pay unexpectedly, ignore your calls, and mistreat drivers. Most people either bring their own trucks or use the job for experience before moving on. Not recommended!
The pay rate is below average, but flexibility and hours are great. Management and staff are friendly and genuinely care about employees. The job gets even better if you apply as an owner-operator.
If this type of freight is your preference, it’s a great company—solid people and fairly new equipment. However, it wasn’t the right fit for me. Too much waiting around and exhausting long days.
Been an operator for two years. Good work-life balance, a safe yard for trucks, and great insurance rates. Port jobs around Philadelphia aren’t bad. Not a bad company overall.
Decent work-life balance. Pay could be better. In and out of rail yards. Automatic trucks. Choice of day or night shifts. Weekends are optional unless you volunteer.
You work all night regardless of start time. On payday, you aren’t paid for all your stops. The company only pays after they receive payment, which can take months. Once you earn a certain amount, they start sending you on shorter runs to limit your earnings. Everything about this job is terrible—stay away! Looking for another job because this is beyond frustrating.
