Great place to work. I drive and care for a 2020 Freightliner, to earn a good living here.
After a phone interview the Safey director, Russell contacted my manager inquiring about me. Thanks a lot.
I interviewed with this company this week. Everything was going really great, they told me that they have an extreme shortage of drivers that can deliver Hazmat, so extreme that they're turning down business. They asked if I could complete a drug test and DOT physical the same day and I asked if my virtually brand new DOT Medical Card would be acceptable and they declined, said I had to go to their doctor, which I agreed to, I said sure, no problem, anyone but Concentra, and the guys head dropped. He said he'd see if the owner would agree to it and get back to me, but they never got back to me. I just got a notification that I was declined employment through Driver Pulse. It's funny, he told me that they routinely have drivers decline to go through Concentra. If you're a driver and they demand that you go through Concentra, decline it. Concentra is in the C-PAP business and routinely demands that drivers go through sleep apnea testing, it'll ruin your career. Food for thought.
Family owned so a lot of pride there. They have a great staff who’s always working hard. One of their account people Ashley(?) is great and she can do it all!
I called and spoke with 2 different people. A Guy by the name of Russ got on the phone and I explained who I was, and I wanted to learn about the company and program partnerships. He cut me off to ask where I was located, I told him, then as I get to my next statement this guy says “get to the point”. I said nevermind, I just learned what I needed. Excuse me, Russ- who do you think you are? Rudeness will get you and your company nowhere. I wanted to learn and HR passed me off to this guy who could care less about a partner, stakeholder, or opportunities that may help this company. It’s about interpersonal skills, that will connect with people. If you all have high turnover, I bet I see why. I am sure not everyone is like this, but the first impression is a lasting one.
Worst trucking company these guys have picked up several times at our location the drivers are pathetic grown men with an attitude always come late they always take more than hour to get paperwork if anyone thinking about getting these guys don’t bother. There’s other great options.
This is the parent company of Superior Delivery and Atlas Delivery. Both are Courier services with Superior specializing in the oil and gas industry and Atlas specializing in medical deliveries.
Best job I ever had!!! U couldn't ask for a better trucking company to work for. they want the same thing u want! They wanna make money!!! Worst mistake was quitting!! I made some mistakes working there. But they didn't fire me for it! I'm alot older now I learned from em! I'm greatful for the opportunity they gave me!!! Thanku!!! Highly recommend working for them!!!

My brother works here as a dispatcher. He used to be a driver. They're a great company and have a good reputation for getting your shipment to it's destination in a timely manner. During the COVID scare they were running 24, 7, getting samples to LabCorp. They do a variety of shipments including medical.
Great company I've worked right next to them for years.
I work here as a Truck Driver.
No forced dispatch, family oriented company, big on safety of equipment and procedures. Safety bonuses for passing roadside inspections. Very helpful atmosphere.
First in first out, decent loads and pay From what I understand, they have gone to automatic transmissions, so 100% of you shouldn't have a problem with those trucks. Pay day is every two weeks, and they do have direct deposit. As far as office staff, all I knew had no complaints
You pretty much just only make your gas money back unless you have a set route. However the people working there are awesome advice is to just do this on the side if you have bills.
They are all liars... A typical day at work is stressfully because the instructions are not always clear you just have to figure it out some times....
What is the best part of working at the company? They really work with your schedule What is the most stressful part about working at the company? It's Hot Shot. When it rains there's scarce work What is the work environment and culture like at the company? At the Dallas location, the culture was always positive. The Operations Manager has a great attitude and always tried to find solutions. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Start early in the morning and go from there. On the Hot Shot side it's very random, so just be available and if you have something you gotta do, work with them in advance.
Don’t waste your time they don’t pay you never leave on time and they taking something out your check every time you get paid on top of the 50$ they take every check talking about they holding it but trust you not getting it back!!! DONT DO IT!!!
Great Home Time great hours. Good equipment. Good Shop. Mechanics are great. They make sure drivers equipment is ready for the road at all. Times. Dispatch works well with drivers.
This pertains to the Oklahoma city contractors that are leased on to JH walker. I'm sure JH Walker it's self is a good company to work for. It's kind of mind boggling at first cause you have to get your own llc. I got my llc then I was leased to a truck that was leased to JH Walker thought that was strange but anywho. The dispatch said we was busy but we was not sit home for couple days not hearing from anyone. Had some nice equipment (the 1 tons) stay away for their semis. They talk a good game put don't produce. And they will charge you for every dent dig and board even if you didn't do it. It's a family run racket out of okc. This is just my fair warning to future drivers
Work is a good company to drive for.drive long days.drive all southern state.I have learned safety .Love to drive drive.I enjoy driving some days are 12 hours to 24 hours of driving.
Good place to work just not for me the people in HR was the best and lady in the front office love all the time i had there if you looking be home most nights that a good place to be just stay to yourself and do your job you be good
Mostly gulf coast hauls. I would prbly still be line hauling if the oil field crunch hadn't affected drilling. Plus our rates were cut in half after production ceased.
Job can be dull at times and then hectic at times. Professional group to work with. Lots of travel. Opportunities to meet new people. Can be very satisfying work.
Been at walker for 4 years. best truckin job i ever had. Made most money and feel like part of the team. Equipment all in great shape and beneftis are very good
Good, more on locale fleat bed delivery, ok, fund to be around co-worker,nothing was hard about the job, doing the driven to the delivery
