The 2 stars Is for the dispatchers for owner Operators. Communication through the messages is probably the most ridiculous thing because you never talk to the same person. They ended up taking me off a load that wasn’t supposed to be removed because I told someone else one thing and the next person just assumed when I told them to take me off.

They knew i had an accident and only 1 accident on my record and when i applied and kept blowing up my phone rushing me to complete new videos and waste my time even with driving across town to take a drug test. all that just to pull my application because of the accident which again is the 1 and only accident i have on my record. If you have anything on your driving record then dont even bother applying here

Don't know about what kind of training you doing but there is right now a driver who tried to get into a space beside me and almost hit my new truck. Secondly you don't stick 2 trainees into a truck 3rd if there was an accident I'm afraid your insurance would not work since I don't drive repaired trucks your driver hits me I get a new truck. So you have bought your own mess your drivers messed up.

Worked SE Regional for JBI (Intermodal), running containers out of the Norfolk Southern-Marietta St., Norfolk Southern-Austell & CSX-Fairburn yards to various DC's within 350 miles of Atlanta. Pay was around $60K/yr. Management was decent, although they do have a LOT of training videos, etc that you have to complete every month or so.

As an independent contractor we entered into a contract with jordans through jb hunt. As a driver. As far as contract signing they didn't give much to read but pushed a signature. I feel as first time business owners they took advantage. They were unclear about the truck insurance payments and though we followed up before hand with questions we weren't given a bill until it was too late. Multiple over charges for the "truck payment" with no explaination. Because of that we ended up behind the ball and as a family (with children) we didn't have a savings to spend. We drove our credit, and bills into the ground trying to pay for the business. In the end when we could no longer afford to keep running, they took our last settlement and escrow without any notice so the 2 families involved were left without final paychecks unexpectedly. You can not take legal action, it's in the contract. So our hands are tied and we ended up worse off than when we started. As for work/life balance there was none. We canceled big events and medical needs to work because there was no paid days off if you didn't have a personal employee to fill in. And our days started as early as 2am and ended as late as 8pm. The job itself without all the strings was great and we had a 98% rating from our customers. We worked hard and gave our all just to lose more than we had in the end. Management was great at the start they helped where they could but once we were beyond help(financially)they couldn't care less about us as people even though we were good employees.

Mountainaire dress haul has poor leadership. Good pay. But is not worth the headache and your never home.you don't get two days off like they promised you and there's been no raises for over two years.

Good management and decent pay, 60 hour work weeks but for the most part the job is pretty laid back. Haven’t had any issues with anybody since I started

Good home daily position when I was with them. They didn’t maintain their equipment or didn’t have a truck available to drive and had to wait hours without pay. Management wasn’t the best either. Good pay though when actually driving.

Jb Hunt is too over strict, overbearing, and most the time don’t have a clue of what the heck they’re doing. They will come into a place that’s completely done one way, the right way, and completely screw it all up!

Every trucking company has their goods and bads this ones no different. My pay is .49 cents per mile, $30 for each stop you make, standby pay is $250, miles are alright I average around 2,200 a week. Fleet managers are nice enough but they are dispatchers at their core. I take home every week around $1100 that's without benefits and 401k in my opinion that ain't good but you're home everyday unless you want to do The layover loads..

Great company. Really looks out for driver safety and run time. They definitely don’t force you to do unsafe anything. They are also very understanding when it comes to home time.

It’s a lot at first depending on how fast you catch on the better you have to learn the pay system to pay yourself on cross towns rail delay empty moves and such that’s a huge part of your pay and if you don’t put it in they won’t know

What is the best part of working at the company? Though they're a big company I still felt heard and seen. They took the time to hear my concerns and help make a schedule that was ideal for me What is the most stressful part about working at the company? They are all about safety. So I was concerned that should another driver cause problems for me that I could end up without a job What is the work environment and culture like at the company? We were on a dedicated account and our office staff were great. They were always there for us. I've heard it can be really different at other accounts, all depending on the management What is a typical day like for you at the company? Pretty straight forward. I ran a load every day and was usually home every night. I valued my home time and they helped to make it possible as often as possible
