The pandemic hit us hard, and while they adapted, I saw some competitors knocking it out of the park with cooler tech integrations.
They listen to what you need and deliver exactly that
Okay, they make some solid stuff 🧐
They’re a bit too conservative for my taste.
Texas and Oklahoma gives them a solid niche
Don’t waste your time dispatchers are very sorry don’t communicate also they get you cheap loads and make you deadhead so many miles in your check be like 1100 a week which is less than your 1400 guarantee pay after your 30 days they just throw you away to the wolves don’t care about how you feed your family the worst company I have ever work for. And also they give you the smallest rental ever when u turn the truck back in they really don’t care about you. You are just a number.
If I could give zero stars I would . This company looks good from the outside but is just like every other company out there. This was my first and last lease purchase. They give u a rental and put u up in a fancy hotel and show u pay stub that guys are bringing home 3600 after expenses. I never even got close to that and I honestly don’t know why they show them. It is like a false hope. I got sent 2 hours south on my first load to unload because contractor shut the site down after waiting hours to unload. That was all on my dime they didn’t reimburse anything. Second week out I’m doing a 34 hour reset because of bad scheduling. Mark Boston did not do anything I asked him to do. I had requested 2 loads that paid very well and both got turned down. The first load was because there stupid computers showed me somewhere I wasn’t and they canceled the load. Then the following week I had another load for 3500 and they said the shipper changed destinations to Texas instead of Florida. Took another 3000+ load away from me. Offered me a 1400 load in place. They drove me straight into the ground financially in 4 weeks I had no choice but to leave. 1200 before taxes just doesn’t cut it after being gone all week. This is a warning to all drivers out there do not go with JLE. Poorly run operation that obviously does not care about there drivers. Oh ya and if it’s not Monday thru Friday 8 to 5 good luck speaking with anyone from dispatch. It’s just a repair line after 5 and on weekends. So u are just stuck out there until Monday morning when u are unloaded and ready to go but still gotta wait on them to get u a load that don’t pay. I think drivers that have been there the longest get the money loads and new drivers like me got what was left. I also believe I was hauling a lot of company freight as a lp operator that’s why my loads didn’t pay. I just can’t believe all the promises this place makes and they don’t follow through on any of them. Truly one of the worst places I’ve ever drove for.
Just turned my truck back in today in Dunbar PA. I must say the only issue I had that was my reason for leaving was loads not enough money on them. They are Super heavy loads and tarping was $35 to tarp not all the time though. I got tired of being denied on loads I request. From October to February I did pretty well but not to my expectations I was losing more money than gaining. I don't think JLE INDUSTRIES isn't a bad company just not for my experience I have in being an Owner Operator.
Had a recruiter cut me off on i71 north of Cincinnati ohio... vin on side of truck was #LLLM8469. The driver cut off traffic to get to an exit then cut back into traffic. Poor excuse of a driver!
Cheap broker. They sold us a load from Chicago, where driver spent this whole day - and they refused to pay detention. My company isn’t going to work with JLE Industries anymore.
I would go company with this company. I strongly advise against leasing. They tell you it’s not a walk away lease. But they don’t tell you they keep all of your money if you quit. There is a $240 deduction a week for a maintenance account. When you use this account they charge you $65. So if you go to the shop for let’s say a plug for the tire. Costs about $40. JLE charges you $65 to pay that out of that account. If you use the shop at JLE (if you can get in) they charge you still the $65 for using the maintenance account plus and additional 25% for using their facilities. There is a rental fee ($225) plus mileage per week for the trailer. Granted they pay for any cost to the trailer unless you did the damage. But technically at $225 a week, you paid for it. The OS board is ok. It’s nice to be able to pick your own load. But the majority of loads are 3 or more hours away, there are also times I have taken a load and after I dropped it off, they I’m told they can’t get me out of the area, so I would have to dead head 6 or 7 hours to get the next load. You also get fuel off of a 3rd party app. There is a $0.25 - $0.30 fuel discount. But if the app doesn’t work.. your stuck until 8 am EST until someone gets in to fix the problem. If you do decide to lease, get extra bungees and an extra middle tarp. You will find that if the load over hangs the trailer just a little bit, the 3 tarps aren’t long enough. And the D rings are so spread out, tarping can be difficult. I left due to lack of loads and low pay. I had $7,500 in the maintenance account and they took it all. I would get a lawyer, but I figure, by the time the lawyer takes their cut and the time I would have to take off work to deal with it.. it wouldn’t be worth the battle. So again, if you decide to lease.. you can’t say I didn’t try to warn you. I just hope you experience is better than mine was.
Best company to work for. Very family oriented. Excellent communication and great dispatchers
Good home time and decent pay. Driver managers not very good.I had you sit a lot . No longer employed. my only complaint is when they terminate you they keep your $1000.00 supply deposit. I returned everything on the list and they kept my money TAX free for them . They said it was because they had to recover my truck. But I offered to drive back to them and they refused. Now when I try to call them they block my number. so if you drive for them don't give them the $1000..
Great place to work for. Professional and friendly staff as well as environment. Wish I would have started working for this company long ago.
Hands-down, one of the best companies I’ve ever worked for. It’s the closest thing to being a owner operator that you were ever come to. It’s a lease purchase but your able to go on any load board and pick your own load and negotiate the money for yourself. I parted ways due to the dispatcher not send me help once’s I broke down and had be sitting for 3 days. This was the only bad time with them. I can’t blame the the company because once the higher ups was made aware they tried everything they could to get me back but I had a bad taste in my mouth at that time. On hind sight I wish I could have made. Different decision. Other than that I would recommend them hands down and tell drivers to make your decisions on facts not emotions. In 6mos I had grossed 120k
The people that work here are unprofessional and could care less about their drivers once they sign the paperwork. Jennifer the accounting manager lies and then backs down like a coward and will lie again to get the heat off of her. For this woman to still have her position speaks volumes of anyone above her as well. They know they can behave like computer screen and telephone bullies and nothing will happen. If you want to be treated with respect, look for a different company. Definitely DO NOT do the lease to purchase program in case you were thinking about it. They present themselves like a respectable company and are the furthest thing from it. And by the way, if you did get stuck in the lease to purchase program, a lawyer can definitely help you get out of it, simply by looking over their conduct and lies on their own contracts.
good company to work for. Love the Is family atmosphere they have. And how they take care of the drivers
The first year and a half here was great, but after multiple safety management changes and several fatalities this year, customers have been reluctant to trust the company with their freight, leading to scarce work and constant excuses. Dispatchers and load planners are difficult to reach, making it hard to get loaded. If you break down in the early hours of the morning, expect to wait at least eight hours for assistance. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this company for truck drivers.
This company has no freight of its own, and both fleet management and sales create a toxic work environment. Weekly earnings are low, often barely reaching $600. Retention is poor, and turnover remains high.
Overall, I find the company acceptable. However, the biggest drawback is the lack of miles. In my experience, freight opportunities are limited, and communication has deteriorated over time. On the plus side, the trucks are well-maintained, and I don’t have any other major complaints.
JLE is not a terrible company, and most employees genuinely mean well. However, their rapid growth has outpaced their ability to manage operations effectively. Upper management seems oblivious to this issue, making the company one of the most disorganized and chaotic places I’ve ever worked.
Operations and dispatch are supportive, with office staff actively looking out for drivers and helping them succeed. I earned good money while working here but eventually moved on to a local position in my hometown.
This company repeatedly makes excuses for dispatch errors and has a history of failing to pay drivers on time. It happened to me four times! The dispatchers are disorganized and often lazy.
I left after almost a year, and things were declining fast. Management throughout the company is weak, and there is little respect for drivers. If negative ratings were possible, that’s what I’d give.
This is the best company I’ve worked for in my 33 years in the industry. They provide quality equipment and plenty of work with good-paying loads. You manage your own dispatch through their load board or any other one you choose. Home time is entirely up to you—I aim to be home every weekend.
No freight, no communication—best to avoid this company. Joining was one of the worst mistakes I’ve made. They act as if they support drivers, but in reality, they don’t.
What is the best part of working at the company? Unfortunately, this was the worst experience ever. Management is poor, operations are disorganized, loads are scarce, and truck payments are excessively high. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Deadhead miles are too high, and lease purchase drivers receive little support to succeed. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? There’s no real culture—just disorganization and poor leadership. What is a typical day like for you at the company? I regretted joining the company every single day.
I'm excited about this new opportunity and looking forward to becoming a leader within the team. The job expectations are clear—just come in, put in an honest effort, and let your hard work speak for itself.
What is the best part of working at the company? They are completely upfront from the start. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? No stress at all—the entire staff is great to work with. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Fantastic! In all my years of working, I’ve never had a better team. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Busy but never dull. There’s always plenty of work to do.
What is the best part of working at the company? Leaving that place before it caused serious personal issues. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Running thousands of miles for minimal pay. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Extremely toxic. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Constant running, yet still struggling financially.
What is the best part of working at the company? They don’t prioritize their drivers' well-being. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Poor communication. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Communication issues are a major problem. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Just driving.
Owner-operators don’t get worthwhile loads. If you’re a company driver, you might earn decent money, but I wouldn’t recommend working here. Plus, they take 25% of your revenue.
Fleet managers are supportive and genuinely want drivers to succeed. I appreciate the app that helps with pre-planning loads in advance. If you’re willing to put in the effort, success is achievable here.
From the very first day, I encountered nothing but misleading statements. Every employee seems to repeat the same rehearsed lines, making interactions feel insincere. They do nothing to support drivers, stripping money from loads before offering them. Communication is virtually nonexistent, and respect for drivers and their families is lacking. Their main priority is financial gain—without concern for the well-being of employees or equipment. If you leave, they may tarnish your reputation, even if you resign on good terms.
Solid job with opportunities to earn a good living. I appreciate the app that allows me to select my own loads. The miles are available if you’re willing to work, and driver managers are supportive and accommodating.
They genuinely strive to keep drivers happy. Home time is important to me, and I feel like I can get home whenever I need to. They treat drivers like family and put effort into taking care of them.
A great company overall—I enjoy my time on the road and appreciate the flexibility with home time. The office staff is friendly and accommodating.
I had no major issues working here. They kept me running and ensured I got home when needed. My only complaint was excessive deadhead miles for lease purchase drivers.
I've been with them for two years, and they operate responsibly. Most managers are competent, mechanics are skilled, and the equipment is well-maintained. The pay is good, benefits are reasonable, and there are plenty of miles available.
There’s no hand-holding here—if you want to make money, you need to plan and execute effectively! The app helps with load planning and pay tracking so you always know where you stand financially throughout the week. Your success is entirely in your hands.
