Pros: Good company, good people, American owned, American dispatchers. Pay is hourly for OTR, but does require some actual labor. Takes great care of drivers needs and wants. Cons: States they drive are limited, pay is the same as per mile, forced into 401k, trucks are small if you have a spouse.
Best job I have ever had as a company driver . Had to shut my company down and had to face the music as a company man again. Glad I found Jones they have been nothing but good to me .
I'm honored to have the opportunity to share my reflections about our incredible team and exceptional customers. As the Senior Director of this transportation company, I'm often asked what makes us different, and the answer is simple. It's the people. The level of dedication and diligence that our employees exhibit daily is nothing short of remarkable. They bring a unique energy that drives our success and fuels our aspirations. From the ground staff to the administrative teams, everyone contributes significantly to our shared mission of delivering world-class transportation services. Our drivers and operators are consistently punctual and highly professional. They take pride in their work, ensuring that each customer experiences a smooth and comfortable journey. Our customer service representatives deserve a special mention, as they are the heartbeat of our company. They go above and beyond to resolve any issues and to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Moreover, our leadership team's unwavering commitment to our company's values and principles, and their strategic approach to challenges, have consistently steered us towards success. Their guidance and support have created a productive, innovative, and inclusive work environment.
Booked a load . Got a signed rate con. Was on my way and got a call after hrs saying load was canceled. Already had left a message with shipper. Shipper called next day and wanted to know when I was going to pick up trailer, the load never was canceled they pulled it from us and booked it with someone for cheaper after we had a signed rate con. A day and a half and a bunch dead head miles Absolutely liars never again..
I work there I'm one of their Drivers and I love my job.Jones is a great place to work.
They take loads and don't pick then turn around and say they'll get someone on it but for more money. What an absolute joke.
This company does not take care of the drivers. Went to do a load for them and the fork lift operator at the site was extremely rude, only wanted to load the trailer his way without taking inconsideration weight distribution for the axles and when I asked to please do it a certain way, he said that I can leave the same way I got here and that he was not only to load us. When we asked the broker for help, since I can get a ticket for not distributing the weight properly. He said that's how they have always done it and that they have never had a problem.
Not paying their freight bill and never answers the phone or emails for factoring company or us.
Fraudulent activity!!!! Commercial Load over weight! We questioned them on weight before we agreed to load. they assured us it was under our limit. Once I arrived, it was 3500lbs over what they communicated both verbally and written. They don’t want to pay for the deadhead or time. This group is in trustworthy, don’t work for them!!!
I love it here at Jones! I am a Savannah Generac driver. I love my job and I am very grateful to be here. Jones isn’t perfect but no company is! Jones works very hard to be the very best company to their drivers!.
This is a great company to work for. The people here actually like each other in real life! Not just acting to get through the day. The family atmosphere here just IS, it's not forced. That combined with good pay for the area makes this job one of few in the market.
I have worked here for 3 years able and enjoy the people and environment greatly. Couldn’t imagine working somewhere else.
Jones Logistics has a great environment and culture to work in. I appreciate the hard work management puts in to make sure we are cared for.
The job itself is easy and you can make a decent living. Management is very poor. They put on a facade pretending it's all about the drivers. They preach their "core values" all the time. But as they've grown as a company, the facade has grown thinner and thinner. In the end, you're just another number there. A typical large company management. Micromanaging has increased tenfold over the last year.
What is the best part of working at the company? Delivery of liquid cooled generac generators in van trailer with lift gate. I loved the work the customers, but all is good when you have a great driver manager. ( Jennifer m) What is the most stressful part about working at the company? No stress mostly working alone with customers help. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Easy work. Driver has alot of responsibilities but that is trucking. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Hustling getting your stops off very doable. No pressure.
Decent pay only downside are the long hrs. They have great benefits and they will also pay you double for any holiday that you work. Overall they are a good company.
Great Place to work. Driving during the Winter and learning how to maneuver the big rig in the snow. Management was good and responsive to my needs. Friendly people to work with. The hardest part is to sit on my butt and drive long distances around the country Most enjoyable part is that they pay good
No communication is one of the biggest problems. They have an employee hand book with all the info in it for whats expected, what can happen and benefits but, theyll change the info in it with out let you know. Yes they will purposely miss inform you about stuff or lie to you. As this add states you get up to 2 flex days a year but infact that went away orver 2 yrs ago. They have also been know to let people go for doing their job when upper management doesnt want to hear about a problem.
From Midland, TX. I hired on an OTR driver for Midland, TX. Several times I was told I couldn't make as much as the local Drivers cause I was from a different part of Texas. Why they hire my then. Local drivers or go home every day driver are just not experience enough to run OTR year around. Confusion, a lot of confusion in management. Not good. The confusion adds to a stressful day. Management? What management? Every once and a while I would hear from them, mostly just dispatch on my own phone. No help with phone bill. No down time. Mixed up about a lot of issues. Have to fight them to get reimbursed. Finally, they are woke people. No cursing.
Good company pays well and they leave you alone to do your job, good equipment too. Drop and hook accts. Pd detention time always. Truck washes 2x week, take truck home too.
What is the best part of working at the company? Newer equipment and lot of spare time to stay home. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Managent is completely disqualified to run the company nobody knows what is going on .. favoritism is the big defect in this company.. drivers are to them just a number.. they keep hiring driver because they knows their drivers doesn't last with them longer! What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Best toxic place to work for ! What is a typical day like for you at the company? You run to unknown schedule and don't know what the end of the day would be like ...
I'm retiring here Good benefits good pay good ppl it's very family friendly no complaints what so ever and cons all pros every company haves there ups and down no company out here is perfect 👌
Every now and then you find a company that values its employees and backs it up. An absolute joy to work for Jones. If you’re lucky to get on you’ll likely never leave!
What is the best part of working at the company? You work No your own, No one holds you hand. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? I have not experienced any stressful parts. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Environment is Great, if you like working on your own, you will love it here. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Just driving and making my deliveries. And interacting with my customers
The jones part is great. I do receive some stress situation at time, with the company we are lease too. It's ok though, they treat me well. They are respectful. I appreciate them.
Jones is great company to work for. The family environment is very inclusive. Everyone works together to accomplish the mission. We look out for each other and I would recommend anyone who is looking for a great employment opportunity to choose Jones.
Been to many trucking jobs and to be honest I'm glad I found a home with Jones. The dispatcher are awesome and management are awesome. All new equipment for driver's.
The Company could be better. But they pay by the mile. Which is fine until their trucks keep breaking down and they can't get you help for 10 hrs. So you're losing money. No time to sleep have a load at 9pm don't get back till 6 am expect to turn around at 5pm
A great company but dispatchers are not willing to take ownership of they’re wrong doings, they would rather push it off on the drivers. As drivers we are responsible for driving safely, delivering on time, great customer service and most important obeying D.O.T rules and regulations. These managers will put you in impossible positions and expect you to make it possible. If you want to be tracked and lied to this is the place for you!!!! Other than that I like Jones logistics…
Recruiters are known to say anything, just to get a driver on board but its my fault listening to sweet nothings. So, if it sounds too good to be true then the odds are it's too good to be true.
I feel very fortunate to be working at Jones Logistic. When I have a personal problem going on management is there for me. I enjoy working for Jones Logistic.
I feel this company is a great company to work for. They always treat you like family. Management is very laid back and easy going. They have newer equipment and their maintenance team is top notch.
Jones logistics is a company that really cares about their employees/driver’s. I had personal issues and I was able to tend to my issues I had going on. I was able to take off work for a while and I was able to return when things got better. Jones logistics was there for me.
So I’ve been at Jones Logistics now going on 4 years in Aug. I have absolutely no complaints with Jones. Jones provides equipment within three years old. The pay is good for starting and their Insurance package is good as well. But all in all Jones cares about their drivers because if it wasn’t for us fri era their would not be a Jones Logistics. I wouldn’t or I haven’t looked back since coming over here to Jones. Matter of fact I have recommended several family and friends and they are here with me.
