Giving this company 1 star is being extremely generous! I HIGHLY advise not even applying or wasting a moment on this company! I was promised a weekly guarantee pay of $1350 or $225 per day, yet never received that amount. I kept amazing records of all my days and drive time. Checks were around $400-600 yet i worked 5 days a week and would usually run my clock out! I called many times to see what the problem was and tried to give them a chance to straighten out my pay and always got the run around, and that's why I left w/in 3 weeks! Not only will they run your clock out they will try to get you to continue on PC and falsify logs and that's where I draw the line. This company is absolutely dishonest! Avoid it like the plague! You're welcome drivers ☺️
If you like staying bizzy they do that not a lot of sitting a round. They pay checks are constant no small check then a big check I like to be able to pay my bills on time best move I made in along time. I do like being out for 2 months and home for 10 full days
Not a bad place to work for has it's ups and downs. I only worked there about a month and it wasn't bad.
I’ve been trying to reach out for over a week or two after I sent over an application. I get no answer. Constant contact emails come in multiple times a day though. Decided I’d call the number under the reviews listed as “Sean” just a pick up and hang up. Going through the reviews about recruiters, this kinda lines up. Hate that we never even had an opportunity to discuss what you might have available. Update: I was contacted by Andrew and had a good conversation regarding K&B’s opportunities. I did appreciate the follow up.
Great company to work for. Everything that they say about the pay is spot on. I worked for them for 2 years and I'd still be there if I didn't have problems at home. If you're wanting to make good money and are willing to drive then I would definitely recommend them.
Beware !!! This company kick you out in orientation , happens to my they say I lie for no report a u turn for another company put in my records!!! When the road is closed is mandatory!!! And I pulled doble trailers is easy. Send me home in bus take my 48 hours to FL , there’s is a mandatory app that block u phone and if you touch send a notification to the company and is 80% night drive, recluter never say nothing about.
Great company to work, don't pay too much but give a lot of benefits and the team is very good, no forcing dispatch, I recommend it.
This company presents its self as one way, then show their true colors once you are engaged as an employee. They give the impression they are supportive of the drivers, then during orientation you learn more. For example, this company does not accept passenger rides - no family, friends, animals, not even a fish. Solo riding all the time. The recruiter does not give that information up front. The company requires you to download an app on your phone which locks the phone so it cannot be used while the truck is running. The recruiter does not provide that information either. There are other reviews that state how drivers were sent home during orientation. This has been witnessed. The company will fly drivers out to orientation, then dismiss them and send them back home on a bus ride that can take days. Arrive on a plane in one day, travel several days back home on the bus. There is also a promise of $400 upon completion of orientation. However, that money was never received..
I drove for them, they kept me rolling, if you want mls and be on the road they got that
Worked here for four years but avoided the office due to unfriendly and disrespectful interactions.
This job requires hard work. The road warrior program ensures consistent pay, mostly night shifts, and no 34-hour resets. You won’t burn out since you won’t max out your hours daily. Best suited for those without personal commitments and who enjoy Midwest casinos.
Pay is decent, but too many short trips and poor planning. Drivers are frequently asked to swap trailers or move during required sleep breaks.
Had a family emergency and parked safely in Rochelle, IL as instructed. Was denied my last week’s pay because I couldn’t return when they wanted.
Terrible experience. The guaranteed pay of $1,750 was actually $1,630 before taxes. While $100 may not seem much, it adds up to $400 monthly. Management is indifferent and pushes drivers hard. My dispatcher was the only positive aspect. Expect to work every single day, deal with split sleeper shifts, and be forced to sleep on demand after long hours. Awful conditions.
Pay is acceptable but could be better given the lack of resets. Breaks are dictated by the company, often at shippers or truck stops. Heavy micromanagement—drivers are monitored through a mandatory app that tracks all activity. Touching your phone while driving results in an immediate call from Safeway. No days off for two months in the road warrior program. Equipment is well-maintained, and hotels are provided for extended truck repairs. Benefits are standard, but the work-life balance is poor. The two-month schedule benefits the company more than the driver. Three late pickups or deliveries result in termination.
At 60 years old, I plan to retire here in 10-15 years, if possible. My 1.6 million miles have all been OTR. Success requires mental resilience—sleep immediately after post-trip inspections and give 110% daily. Trucks are set at safe speeds, and equipment is well-maintained with easy access to necessary supplies. If you find another trucking job offering 12 days off every two months with great pay, let me know—but you won’t.
Initially hesitant due to negative reviews, but the experience was straightforward. You work off recaps, but claims of endless relays and ignored 10-hour resets weren’t true in my case. Check their coverage zones—if outside them, you must join the road warrior program, requiring two months OTR. Read everything before signing and weigh the pros and cons.
No resets or days off for two months. Cruise control is disabled when headlights are on, and most driving is at night. Long waits after deliveries are common, and waiting time is often counted as rest, even if you’ve only been awake a few hours. Expect little sleep on such days.
Best part of the job? Consistent work, even through COVID. Most stressful aspect? No 34-hour resets, despite DOT regulations. Work environment? Friendly and diverse. Typical day? Pre-trip inspection, grab food, load up, and head for delivery.
Extremely disorganized, frequent miscommunications, staff blaming each other for mistakes, and unrealistic route schedules.
Job was fine until home time. Had a doctor’s appointment and provided a note for a week off. By the third day, they repossessed my truck and fired me.
$1,750 guaranteed for eight weeks out and ten days home. Steady miles, frustrating management, but a fair trade-off. They’ll fly you to any state for your home time.
Started in November 2022, finishing in July. The road warrior program was intense. Expect daily or nightly driving. Guaranteed pay is real, but no bonuses. This job isn’t for everyone—you need a strong mindset to handle K&B or you’ll struggle. No 34-hour resets, 10-hour breaks are real, but split clocks are common. Good luck!
