Working with L.W. Miller has been a total life saver
The culture is all about teamwork and getting things right—no shortcuts here
They’ve got your back no matter what you’re hauling
Their facilities in Utah are outstanding
I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my cargo anymore except them
Took a bit but trailers were clean and management was very accommodating will definitely return
The staff is amazing and the deli is the best lunch stop in town!
Logan , UT doesn't have a lot of options to park a semi truck/ trailer so I called and spoke with the parking manager about dropping my trailer so I can bobtail over to the humane society for a hr or two to adopt a dog, he was nice enough to allow it, just couldn't stay the night! Thanks I appreciate it and so does canine you help saved
Do my services there. So far better than Kenworth. They have been doing a great job!
WORKED FOR THEM GOING ON 4 YEARS GREAT PEOPLE TO WORK FOR . DO GREAT WORK ON TRUCKS AND TRAILERS
Applied for a job here and had a conversation with the rudest human being here. Don't waste your time with these guys.
I worked there for 11 years made good money. The people there were always great and if there was a problem you could talk to them. Would still be there but Prime bought the refer division and I will not work for them so I retired.
They are a good compamy to work for. They have good benefits. They listen to what I have to say. I don't feel like I am just a number here.
Awesome company to work with. They offer great benefits and truly care about their employees. I give them an A+
i have enjoyed working for this company for the last 30 years.
I worked here from May to November 2022, and it was one of the best companies I ever drove for. The management, dispatch, and fellow drivers were cooperative and down-to-earth. Everything was going well until October 2022, when the CEO sold the company to Prime Inc. After that, things declined, with layoffs affecting many drivers. Prime seemed uninterested in retaining employees, focusing solely on acquiring the trucks. Additionally, speed limits were reduced from 72 to 58-60 mph.
What is the best part of working at the company? The way they take care of their drivers. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Meeting timelines when stuck in traffic. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Supportive and family-oriented—they genuinely care about their employees. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Driving for 11 hours a day, handling deliveries.
This company strikes the perfect balance—large enough to succeed but small enough to care. Dispatchers recognize drivers by name rather than truck numbers. The equipment is brand new, and repairs are handled efficiently. While trucking always has challenges, overall, I wouldn't consider leaving.
At first, I loved working here and held multiple positions over the years. However, loyalty is not rewarded—drivers with long tenures receive little consideration. If you disagree with dispatch or upper management, they will find a reason to let you go. Drivers are treated as expendable.
The manager is incredibly supportive and always available to assist. The trucks are well-maintained and in great condition, though the downside is that they are all automatics.
If you want appreciation, look elsewhere. There’s no room for growth, frequent understaffing, and a dismissive attitude toward employees. Their sole focus is on revenue.
My experience was disappointing—the best managers and dispatchers were driven away for prioritizing drivers over company politics. Broken promises, nepotism, and an absence of true leadership were common. The main manager in North Salt Lake lacked competence and professionalism, making leadership ineffective despite the company's potential.
Not a bad job overall—the pay is okay, and I was treated with respect rather than just being a number. Dispatch was straightforward, allowing for autonomy. Ran loads to Nevada mines.

Dispatch is poorly managed, and local work is scarce. Hired for mine hauls, but they never materialized—typically only one trip per week to Arizona and back. Pay is mileage-based, meaning a 400-mile run is all you get compensated for.
I spent 25 years here—18 over the road and 7 in local driving. My OTR experience was the best time of my life. However, management in the refrigerated division has become chaotic, introducing an unqualified individual with poor leadership and people skills. She is widely disliked among office staff.
I worked with many great drivers, some of whom remain good friends. The experience of hauling livestock was new for me. Unfortunately, the company was sold about a year after I started.
Excellent benefits, company-owned truck stops and maintenance facilities, and financial assistance for vehicle-related expenses. Great job, loyal employees, new trucks—loved it.
Worked both as a company driver and owner-operator. Company pay was average, while owner-operator compensation included 78% of load pay and 100% of fuel surcharge. However, load payouts were never disclosed, even upon request. Learned a lot about the transportation industry's ups and downs.
Did not enjoy working here—low pay and constant pressure to drive illegally. Surprised they haven’t faced consequences from DOT yet. Would not return.
I spent 10 years driving for Millers, and it was a great experience. I just needed a break from the road. Their equipment was clean and well-maintained.
High-quality trucks and equipment, but excessive hours with little consideration for drivers' workloads.
