just started working at Lily Transportation, and wow, what a difference from my last job!
I love that they have a high retention rate because it shows that people actually want to be here
By actively recruiting veterans, they not only tap into a pool of disciplined and dedicated workers but also foster a sense of community and shared values.
Strong employee-centric approach
It’s nice to know that the people handling my goods are happy and committed to their work
Czy place they no give u use restroom before ur appointment trouble place This place have no supervisor even no buddy to come outside for talking rude place avoid this kind of place
They having a drunk truckers they were speeding up and blocking the Hi way going from Chicago to Michigan hiway i94 they were fishing and unsecured overtaking while the bad weather and pointy road
unloading their Warehouse 5hrs my frist time and last time. I will never come back again.
Not the most organized company to work for. They don’t supply the employees with the basic materials they need for their job. No pallets to load freight onto, no shrink wrap or tape to secure the freight. And one table and a midsize fridge in the break room.
Always good, takes about 3hrs in and out, but for the most part not bad, no overnight parking, may take u before ur appointment, not too much appointment driven but seems like first come first served
I encountered a truck driver for Lily eastbound on Highway 119 out of Longmont at approximately 6:45 this evening. We were driving approximately 55 miles an hour and he was approximately 6 feet behind me. He changed lanes into the left lane and proceeded to run up on another car. In order to avoid running over the car in front of him he then had to switch lanes in front of me and cut me off. I attempted to take a picture of the trailer plate but it was not readable, even with zoom. At the next light/intersection, I was stopped and attempted to take a picture of the driver as he was turning to go south on I-25. He then pulled out his camera and proceeded to take pictures of me while he was driving. I'm hoping he's laughing and showing the picture of me flipping him off to his coworkers and the supervisors catch wind of it. This driver is dangerous and I'd bet it's the same driver from a previous review.
You're driver in truck# 172627 and trailer plate# 2833817 was headed east on hwy 119 in Longmont. The driver was in a big hurry following a car at 4 feet. Not getting ahead jumped in front of me. I had to slam on my break to not get hit on my front right quarter. Further down the road your driver did the same thing to another car. I hope you fire the idiot before hurting someone.
Grate management, grate equipment, trucks are new and set 72mph. Truck has tv, microwave, refrigerator, power inverter and most important auto chains. Who is awesome? Chris is awesome lol
Your pos driver has the audacity to drive with his high beams behind me as I'm driving 60 on the blue star. Maine 525 7848 trailer plate
I really don’t understand how Rich white has a job as a recruiter he never returns phone calls and never answers the phone I’ve called Lilly transport atleast 10 times and the recruiting department has never not once answered
Great company and great drivers, never been more happy! We, at Venus Wafers, have been working with them for over 2 years, their proformance is exceptional
Nice location in Rosemary Office Park. Use Entrance C-1.
DONT WORK FOR LILY! Pros: Friendly and personable management. Cons: recruiter will lie to get you in the door. Long days for low money They keep your accrued time off when you terminate employment. Do not fall for the "short days" promise of 6 hour shifts. You will be working 12 to 13 hours a day on a regular basis.
This a great company to work for, at least with team that’s what I did with my brother. Our account manager Jason was great to work with. Our dispatchers were also good overall with exception of a couple they don’t have an attitude just incompetent sometimes lol. Hometime was the best benefit because of how flexible they are. We did 2 weeks out and home 4 days sometimes more. The main and only reason why we left was because an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. Pay is good here unfortunately due to inflation depending on how much money you need to make it’s tough. As of 09 march 2022 were making 55cpm to truck and detention was $40 to truck after 2 hours regardless of appointment. Our average gross on a full week of working was roughly 1,700 to 1,800 each driver. But can make more than that if you’re willing to stay out.
Trucks are unreliable and break down regularly. Ryder is useless in fixing issues. Unpleasant atmosphere. Lower than average pay.
The environment has grown tiresome, even the smallest mistake can get you fired. Years of service and countless hours of effort don't seem to matter here—it's not a place to plan for retirement.
What is the best part of working at the company? My role is primarily drop & hook, and the dispatch office staff are very friendly. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Long work hours are a significant challenge here. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? You work independently most of the time. If you honestly communicate your preferred workload to the hiring manager, they will align it accordingly. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Driving from Bethlehem, PA to Manchester, CT, followed by a short local trip.
The management team is commendable, and the company has a family-oriented atmosphere. They provide fair compensation, good home time, and suitable conditions for local day cab drivers. Wage adjustments could be better, but the pay is decent overall.
What is the best part of working at the company? Made a good income and enjoyed the increasing driver bonuses of $500 each year. Unfortunately, things deteriorated after hiring a new terminal manager. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Driving during nighttime snowstorms to deliver auto parts is highly stressful. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The work environment was positive until the new terminal manager caused a decline. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Starting the truck, driving to dealerships, and delivering parts.
What is the best part of working at the company? The shifts are shorter than the industry average. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Unorganized management can make things feel unstable. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? It’s a professional setting, strongly focused on safety. What is a typical day like for you at the company? If you prefer routine, the same consistent routes will work for you here.
The workplace feels supportive and enjoyable. Employees are valued, with gestures like cookouts, job assistance, and easy tasks like unloading cages and a few items.
What is the best part of working at the company? It was a challenging experience marked by prejudice and hostility. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The pay and benefits are not as advertised, making things frustrating. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The atmosphere is harsh, tense, and unfair. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Expect a lot of stress and disappointment, with tasks like rebuilding pallets nightly in addition to driving and unloading.
I once enjoyed being a driver with Lily. Unfortunately, the company has changed for the worse, and management no longer values highly skilled and safe drivers.
There’s high stress due to poor management practices, which shift their issues onto employees. Unrealistic delivery schedules during challenging weather conditions and heavy traffic exacerbate problems. Employees also face wage deductions for being late, even when delays stem from management holding back shipments.
This is the worst job ever. Favoritism is rampant—they expect 14-hour shifts for just $800 a week. Promises of change never materialize. Work six months and leave! I'd never return even if I were homeless.
The daily rate is satisfactory; perform your job efficiently and return home each day. The position includes a six-week training period, with opportunities for line-haul roles between Syracuse and New Jersey, followed by a relay back to Syracuse.
What is the best part of working at the company? The pay is great, the work is simple, and the benefits are above average. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The overnight shifts are a considerable downside. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The company monitors drivers closely with cameras installed in their trucks. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Each day involves completing three deliveries, heading home to rest, and repeating the process five nights weekly.
Overnight shifts with flat-rate pay make it worth looking elsewhere for employment. Start times are often delayed by hours without compensation for early arrivals. Promises of additional pay frequently go unfulfilled.
What is the best part of working at the company? The atmosphere is warm and friendly; I adore my job and colleagues. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? There’s no stress—working for Lily feels like being part of a supportive family. What is a typical day like for you at the company? As a family-oriented team, everyone collaborates to complete tasks safely and effectively.
The pay and benefits are reasonable. Management doesn’t interfere as long as you perform your duties. The outward- and inward-facing cameras monitor activity, and drivers fingerprint most auto parts deliveries, including cages, totes, and loose boxes. Working hours are from 11 PM to 7 AM. Equipment is reliable, and speeding is strictly controlled. Overall, I rate the company four stars.
Though the hours are long, the pay is rewarding. As a new driver, I’m gaining a lot of valuable experience. The team is supportive, but shorter hours would provide better work-life balance. Training pay is reasonable.
It’s a great place to start if you want to earn your CDL. Dispatchers are very supportive, and the work involves completing your route and heading home. However, for new drivers, there’s minimal work-life balance with this company.
The company offers low pay, only three sick days annually, one week of vacation per year, and limited 401(k) matching. While it’s suitable for inexperienced drivers, experienced Class A drivers should seek better opportunities. High turnover rates result from low morale among drivers, many of whom look for jobs elsewhere. Personally, I’m waiting to transition to an LTL, tanker, or union job—this role is simply unacceptable.
