Worst company on the planet. RUN save yourself. Not worth filling out the paperwork for a job here. DISCUSTING PEOPLE THAT RUN THIS PLACE
Delivered my sons tool box, nice facility lots of room.
Job sucks! If you want to work here try to get the day position, if you get on nights you won't have time to do anything on your off time. Company needs to install cameras on the trucks I've seen and know to many drivers that be on their phone while driving.
Was a good place to work at first great pay benefits friendly people but I was fired for thier lack of communication. my father past away on Valentine's and I had asked off that Thursday and sat. They called Friday asked if I could work because they could not find anyone to cover and I said yes we'll sat came I called the driver I was meeting to see when he would be down and he said I was off so I called dispatch and jorden told me it was covered. Well the driver never showed up and it was put that I was a no call no show. Don't believe that was fair. Then I was to me a driver in Richmond VA on a Saturday at 10 am but the driver called me and told me he was running late he called me 3 hours before he woul be there because I'm only 2 and half hours from there I arrived 10 min after he did witch was round 1230 but they said I was late when I was not the other driver had been held up. So i talked to HR about it and Allison gave me her word if I could get proof I could keep my job well I verified every bit of it through dispatch and they sent it to Allison but guess what now they are all avoiding my calls for thier miscommunication and every time I was asked to fill in for other drivers I would never called in I just think that it was very sorry how this was handled and know one wanted to admit to it even dispatch said that that was not right Steve Britt
dangerous drivers!!!My daughter..myself and her 8 month old child was in the car. one driver was so close to her bumper we could not see his bumper!! she could not drive any faster because their was traffic directly in front of her. she was driving the speed limit of 55 but i could not go any faster. he would back off but then come right back on her. she could not put on brakes or slow to turn cause he was so close he would have hit her cause he could not see her turn signal or brake lights. we had her 8 month old baby with us. He was making hand gestures at us too. dangerous..careless and.reckless individual! . the driver was a white male...this company name was on the dogbox door...white freightliner. pulling a mail dry van..the trailer number was #5573-16..this happened in Alabama..on hwy 167 between Enterprise Al and Troy, Al. he was headed toward Troy..on Wednesday june 6 2018...about 10:15/10:30 am Alabama time..
Good pay good benefits. However they did not train my husband they handed him keys and said drive. Literally no training on anything else rules paperwork books. My husband had a flat on the weekend they have what's called a 5500 from the post office if the order is late tracie mccormick trucking gets fined well since the truck stop did not have tire repair till later in the morning my husband called the dispatcher and he said can you drive it back my husband said ok apparently my husband should have waited for repair but he did what the dispatcher said and he got wrote up? The supervisor said she would remove the write up since it was proven the dispatcher told him to drive it was not removed. My husband went to the supervisor several times sometimes I went too he was often wrote up for things he didn't know if you drive for this company ask for proper training I don't know how they are still in business No ONE COMMUNICATES THE RULES.Don't ask the dispatcher or other drivers they will steer you wrong. The HR lady is the only one who seems to know anything? He would have stayed if he knew the rules he wouldn't have broken them. This company needs to hire someone to train the drivers so this doesn't happen again to another family.Don't get me wrong they hand you paperwork that you are to read but somethings apply to certain routes and not to others very confusing. For instance strapping his route the post office loads the load not him but he's responsible some how don't know how he's showed me pictures it's completely packed he can't be responsible for their strapping job? DRIVER BE WARE. Well anyway good benefits and pay.
5 stars because I need a job, Brian Cooper Florence Alabama looking for work and reporting for duty sir! Can drive as well as i can talk and have a good driving record, no police record i do not drink and do not do drugs, i work daytime - nighttime - anytime. Available 8 hrs 10 or- double time and if i have to clock out and clock back in again im ready-- no wife or kids so im a free agent--110% driving machine im ready!
I don't know much about McCormick Trucking but Rhonda Boatman deserves a better answer. Rhonda Boatman wrote that her husband had a 14 hour run but only got paid for 10 hours. The owner responds you can only drive 11 hours in a day and so your comment is confusing. I don't find Boatman's comment confusing at all. All truck drivers know the following generally applies: "A driver may drive a maximum of 11 hours after 10 consecutive hours off duty, and the driver may not drive beyond the 14th consecutive hour after coming on duty, following 10 consecutive hours off duty." Therefore Boatman is claiming her husband had 14 hours of duty for the run he did during which her husband drove, perhaps waited or helped on loading and unloading a trailer, did preinspection and postinpsection of his truck, perhaps fueled his truck, etc.
Excited as I got a call today from Allison in reference to a dispatcher position. Can't wait to hear back...heard some great things about the positive and friendly attitudes. I like that
Awesome people so nice especially the ones in dispatch they work three the wee hours of the night to make sure their drivers are taken care of
Can't wait to start ...The Trucking Industry is what I'm used to working, and I've heard good things concerning McCormick. I love what I do and again can't wait to advance with this Company.
Love my job and Ms. Linda is great !!
If you don't mind working for a company that like the messy type working for them, you have the right company. If you like working for a company that you are a mere employees and nasty raggedy trucks, your worki g for the right company. Morals and Ethics are not high on the scale of professionalism, everything is just okay. The owners may not even know about these things, but if they do shame on them. I know for a lot of people it's about that check, sometimes having principles are more important.
Just started the hiring process. Linda and Allison in HR are very quick and professional. So far my experience is great. Team is very informative and friendly over texting and calls. Looking forward to the rest of the process. Can't say that about other trucking companies I have been with. Thank you.
Hi I'm Christopher Shrout, started with the company in December, and I love it so far. I am home 4 days a week, and I make a little bit more than when I was spending weeks out on the road away from my wife and 10 yr. Old daughter.
Love & Hate relationship but overall Family oriented and care for there Drivers
My husband worked for this company for 3 months. He worked for alot of hours and did not get paid the hours he worked. If this company makes all this money why dont they pay their drivers the way they are suppose to. He had a route from Pearl, Ms to Mobile, AL. It was a 14 hour run only got paid for 10 of those hours. He told his dispatcher ab out it she always said she would get in touch with their contractor. She never got back with him. They never liked to talk to him on the phone. They would switch from one person to the other. He no longer works for them. why work for someone that wont pay you right. They need to be turned in for this.
Typical trucking company equipment is ok if you keep after them to get things repaired. Most routes are odd hours and weekends and hard to get time off unless you find a coworker to fill in for you. They pretty much leave you alone. If you have a family the medical insurance is crazy high.
They treat the drivers fine, but any problems occur it never gets taken care of . This company has a slip seat system. Terrible.!!! I’m not happy working with this company period!!
They're also known as Hartwick Transit and Hartwig Trucking. They keep changing their name because their reputation is so bad they can't hire anyone. The management lies and backstabs so they people that take a job without reading the reviews end up quitting pretty quickly. The management also edits log so you go over your hours and then will hang you out to dry if you get a ticket
What is the best part of working at the company? The time works for me and my family. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The company is not stressful to work for at all which is another reason why I love working for the company. They trust you to be independent and follow their work guidelines What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The work environment is accepting of all cultures and everyone is treated with respect and dignity. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Like any other day. I get up and go to work and if anything come up while at work or unexpected breakdown you have dispatched available to assist you. You prepared like any other day but most importantly safety is number one priority.
If you want to get paid bottom dollar, this is your place, if you want to be with a company that wants you to go up and beyond for them with out getting taken care of, this is the place, if you want a crook company that squeezes every penny they can from their employees, this is definitely your go-to. Been working here for a couple years now and it continues to go down hill everyday it seems like. It is getting to the point to where I can’t stand this place. I highly recommend for anyone to not work for this company unless you are desperate for a job.
Terrible management wouldn’t recommend working here at all. One of the worst job I have ever had in my life . I wouldn’t recommend this job to anybody
“Fringe” or health and wellness pay goes into a Empower 401K account if you like it or not. Always check every pay stub for discrepancies. Pay stub only mentions hours worked not runs or assignments. Trailers are straight garbage. Not many care to call in maintenance issues for trucks and trailers. They depend heavy on temp driver agencies to fill in driver gaps.
They haul mail, there very strict about the work you have to deal with the post office. 13hr.&some layover it’s only dropping and hook they are great to work as long you have paperwork updated.
What is the best part of working at the company? Excellent health insurance easy freight What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Drivers passing down bad equipment What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Laid back if everyone dose there job What is a typical day like for you at the company? Easy if truck and trailer are in good shape
The pay and benefits are great. There are no day shift route's available,so third shift is what you work. A lot of equipment has been recently updated.
They're not a good company to work for they will take advantage of you and you're always having to check your pay they tell you one thing and do another
Terrible equipment and bad management. They also need to come out to the worksite. And communicate better with the drivers . Need better parking facilities for the trucks.
