Use anyone but these guys for shipping they will bill you charges that should not have been billed. We have trucking companies pickup and dropoff here daily and twice they have billed us for residential pickup or delivery fee. Bunch of thieves
Alecia is so extremely rude. Can not give simple information about a tracking. Gave false information about the location of the item. It's ok to not know but don't make things up. Ryan ended up helping me after being hung up on and was able to track down the issue and call me back with the correct info.
Worst place to go. Nobody should use these guys they’re rude. My girlfriend had a shipment sent and they sent it through them. It’s been there for a while then they hang up on her and she is also Native American veteran, and they hang up on her because they don’t want to talk to her still trying to charge us even though the Load is not delivered Trying to hijack the load in by saying if you don’t come pick it up, then we will charge you for storage on top of it and charge mileage. We already paid once overall is the worst company that I’ve seen and have truck for a while so I was like Swift bought them out, Oh that’s right Swift did buy them out
Absolutely horrible customer service! I was transferred 3 times and was treated with absolute disrespect from all 3 representatives. They had 100% disregard for my concerns and questions and not one of the reps. were willing to do anything for me, or take any action to look into our shipment. I would never contact this company for freight and will be in touch with my cabinet supplier to relay this, as well as request that they never ship 3rd party through Midwest Motor Express ever again. If I could give a negative star rating they would receive a -5 *.
They are understaffed and customer service is nonexistent. EXPECT DELAYS. It doesn't get any worse than this in the LTL world. The most recent debacle was shipment from Defiance, OH arrived in Fargo ND in 3 1/2 days on SAIA Trucking. Very good. Shipment was then transferred to MME. in Sioux Falls. Arrived in Dickinson at 5:28 am on 3/2/2022. As of 3/3/22 it is still there. First 1142 miles in 4 days. Last 131 miles 7 days and counting. Avoid this carrier if you can.
This company held my machine in Milwaukee for 6 additional days for no reason. Everyday it was a new excuse. The weather was one of those excuses even when it was 58 degrees out no rain and sunny. I bought a cnc machine and needed it for a certain day. They advertised it as a 4-5 delivery time its been over 10 days now. I need this machine to complete a job that I bid on. They screwed me on that. Stay away from this company the absolutely suck and do not care about you.
HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR SHIPMENT ON TIME PAY FOR 3 DAY SHIPPING AND RECEIVE IT 3 WEEKS LATER! ***** UPDATE ***** A VENDOR HAS SENT A SHIPMENT TO ME AND IT HAS NOW BEEN 21 DAYS SITTING IN THIER TERMINAL. EVERY DAY THE ETA CHANGES TO THE NEXT DAY. MME IS GOING TO END UP JUST LIKE YELLOW ******* NOT RECOMMENDED *******
Terrible business practices. We had a shipment delivered from a supplier who used MME. When MME delivered the package, they used a lift gate (their choice, not our request since we have a dock). Then they sent us a bill for the lift gate service. We have never been a customer of MME, we only took delivery. The lady at MME said because we signed the delivery receipt we had to pay, or they were going to take us to collections. Totally ridiculous, and a completely false statement. I called the company who shipped us the package, and they profusely apologized for MME's behavior, said this was not the first time they've had this issue, and assured me MME was way out of line. I've never been a customer of MME, and I will NEVER give them my business.
Incredibly disrespectful and rude staff. Went to ask for permission to grab some of their wood pellets and was very unwelcomely greeted by 3 very hostile female staff members. If your planning to do business at this specific location, be prepared to deal with complete and utter unprofessionals..
It is not a place to ship standard freight with. Steel plates, concrete, steel beams, rocks would be ok. If the freight is surrounded by 1/2" plate steel maybe. If they destroy something in shipping, if its used, the pay. 30 on the pound. Good thing the last person I talked too before warned me.
Very good people.
good folks here

Would Recommend to anyone out there with all endorsements. Solid LTL Company to work for. it does get pretty hectic at times but anyone who knows this business has experienced what the trucking industry can do for and to you.
What is the best part of working at the company? It's easy self-explanatory work What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Would you get held up in a stop over tiny little things What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Most of the time the work environment is great
pick up and deliver freight. cruise around town. get your stuff done. dispatch leaves you alone for the most part. call in and they are willing to help. good work culture. the hardest part of the job can be trying to find a bad address.
Good place to work with good pay. Equipment is good. Some days get long. Great group of people to work with. No room for advancement. Start times are always changing.
Good management, company was bought by red hearts Investment Group but kept intact in Ord anyway. Drivers that worked together since Tri air transportation days. We're Rock Solid crew and made it fun and adventurous everyday
I love my job and would still b there hadn't I decided to move . The people were great and the equipment was nice & maintained. I loved driving for these guys even though it was a linehaul position driving at night . Great people
Salt lake city terminal is awesome there can be days when thing can be chaotic considering how small are docks are but everybody works and gets things done ...
This is probably the best truck driving job in Portland area . Although this is a small terminal, meaning no saftety and on-site maintenance personnel, no logistics planners . This is not a job for wannabees . This is a job for someone willing to show up on time . Someone who cares to perform a good pretrip daily. Someone who looks over the paperwork and verifys the load matches the paperwork and it is securely loaded. This is a job for someone willing to buy a tire gauge and a glad hand hose and maintain good tire pressure. Carry your own fuses ,some zip ties , 2 pairs of gloves for fueling and handling freight ,and be a real truck driver. This job is for for someone willing to verify the address and route with their smart phone and compare it to the route provided (its been known to be wrong) . This is a job for someone who is willing to call the customer and ask any questions related to making the delivery if necessary. If you're willing to provide good customer service and act in a professional manner while representing the company. This is a job with bankers hours, although from time to time flexibility and adaptability are required to cover other employees in case someone can't make it in as well as the willingness to help on the dock occasionally when necessary. Check all your legal documents and stay legal you have to watch out for yourself. I very much enjoyed this job.
The Company is very stingy as far as maintaining equipment. That pertains to trucks, trailers, forklifts, dock equipment, etc.. The wages are on the low end and they are vehemently anti union. Management has unreasonable expectations pertaining to delivery times. The dock is extremely unorganized that results in a chaotic and stressful atmosphere on the dock. Furthermore, although you may be a local driver, management will force you to do linehaul runs.
Overall a decent company, benefits are amazing. Only downfall is OT after 40hrs. They Do have tight docks to back into, but if you’re experienced it shouldn’t be an issue.
This company is great, extremely friendly, keeps you busy. Has your back when customers get out of line, trucks are only a few years old at most, strongly recommend
This job is for super truckers that are EXPERTS at getting away with breaking rules & laws. If you follow rules & laws, you will be in trouble WEEKLY. They would tell me to do something different, and the next week, I would be in trouble for that. They didn't care about DOT unless you got busted for it.
Warehouse is too small have to load your own trucks for your daily deliveries. Everything is so packed in this small warehouse and drivers can’t begin their routes until they find their items to load. They need a bigger warehouse and dock workers to make job smooth and easier.
MME is easy to work for and laid back as long as we get our deliveries done. most deliveries are easy there are times i have asked the question of why are we carrying this kind of freight, stuff that belongs on a flatbed. its been very difficult to complete my job when i don't have the proper equipment to complete my job such as lift gate trailers, power jacks for extremely heavy pallets.
Poor management and communication is non existent, like the blind leading the blind in Missoula. More drama and less than safe working conditions....
MME is a great company for local drivers. Good equipment, a good safety department, and the ability to challenge yourself. My route spans over 200 miles, and no two days are alike.
Make you feel like you are less than human. Never want to give you time off. Don't care about you or your family. Very disfunctonal company. Would never recommend
I enjoy working with the staff at MME for several reasons. One reason that stands out the most is the the open communication. The staff is readily available to help me accomplish my tasks. It’s refreshing to know I work with a team.
It's pretty straight forward making deliveries in the Bakken and surrounding area with a tractor and 48 foot trailer. Very understanding company. You always felt like you were heard.
LTL Trucking is a fast-paced and high energy environment. Customer relations is a large part of being a good driver as well. Drivers deal with 15-25 different businesses/customers a day at Midwest Motor Express. They don't force weekend shifts, and overtime kicks in after 50 hours. Drivers are not required to work the dock either.
Hired a new terminal manager who inadvertently Lost several accounts , mainly winter customers, work slowed down and I got layed off ,tried to refuse Unemployment but lost What a low life company
Summer busy, winter much slower. Good driver team and management good overall. Bismarck location more oversight as corporate location and more stress.
